PJPC condemns Israeli enemy's assassination of three journalists at Al Maamadani Hospital

Saba Yemen05-06-2025

Gaza - Saba:
The Palestinian Journalists Protection Center (PJPC) condemned the heinous crime committed by the Israeli enemy army on Thursday, which resulted in the martyrdom of three journalists and the injury of others, one of whom is in critical condition, as a result of direct shelling targeting them in the courtyard of Al Maamadani Hospital in Gaza City.
The center said in a statement, "This brutal attack killed colleagues: Suleiman Hajjaj and Ismail Badah, both working for Palestine Today TV, and Samir Al-Rifai, who works for Shams News Agency."
The center emphasized that this crime comes within the context of a systematic and ongoing campaign targeting journalists and media workers in the Gaza Strip, in a clear attempt to silence the truth and prevent the transmission of the tragic humanitarian situation facing Palestinians.
The center emphasized that the continued targeting of Palestinian journalists reaffirms that the Gaza Strip has become the most dangerous place in the world for journalists, amidst a disturbing international silence and the failure of relevant institutions to take serious steps to protect them.
The center renewed its urgent call to the international community, the United Nations, and international human rights organizations to take immediate action to halt the systematic killing of Palestinian journalists, provide urgent international protection for them, and prevent the use of military force to obstruct their professional and humanitarian work.
The center considered what happened to constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, and requires the opening of an independent international investigation and the holding accountable of all those responsible for this crime.

Enemy Media: "Israel" suffers hundreds of millions in losses in war with Iran

Tehran - Saba: Zionist enemy media reported that "Israel" has incurred losses amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars due to the downing of its drones during its aggressive war on Iran. The Zionist newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth wrote on Sunday, citing sources within the Israeli security apparatus, that the damage caused by the drones shot down inside Iran reaches hundreds of millions of dollars. In this context, the Zionist newspaper Maariv revealed that, in addition to the loss of lives, Iranian missiles have destroyed buildings and streets, displacing tens of thousands of Zionists. The newspaper added: "While the war with Iran lasted only 12 days, the destruction it caused was massive. In addition to the killing of 28 'Israelis,' Iranian ballistic missiles destroyed buildings, institutions, and public spaces." It further stated: "It will take years to restore the devastated areas to their original state—if that is even possible." For its part, Israel's Channel 13 reported significant losses and damage to Israeli military bases and strategic facilities following Iranian missile strikes, though officials of the entity and the military have not yet spoken about them. Earlier, the head of the Weizmann Institute of Science stated in an interview with Channel 13 regarding the extent of the destruction inflicted on the institute, which was targeted by Iranian missiles in response to the Zionist entity's blatant aggression against Iran: "The destruction is enormous, and our initial assessments indicate damages ranging between $300 and $500 million." The channel added: "We must acknowledge that the Iranians identified the targets of their missile strikes in 'Israel'—not just at Weizmann, but also at many military bases and strategic sites that we have not yet discussed." It continued: "Moreover, the public remains unaware of the scale and precision of the Iranian attacks and the extent of the damage in many locations." Meanwhile, Amir Dahan, director of the compensation fund at the Israeli Tax Authority, announced the staggering losses resulting from the war with Iran, stating: "The damage caused by the war with Iran in just one week was double that caused by the Gaza war." He added that the fund had received 50,000 compensation claims for damages resulting from Iran's attacks on the occupied territories. The Zionist enemy, with American support, had launched a large-scale aggression against Iran on June 13, lasting 12 days, targeting military and nuclear sites, as well as civilian facilities, military leaders, and nuclear scientists. Iran responded with extensive attacks under the title "True Promise 3," involving ballistic missiles and drones targeting military, intelligence, and vital sites within the occupied territories. The United States joined the Zionist entity's war on Iran on June 22 by attacking three nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print

Women's Sector in Sana'a launches Ashura activities & events

Sana'a - Saba: The Women's Sector in Sana'a organized on Sunday an expanded women's meeting to launch the activities of Ashura (the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him) for the year 1447 A.H., in all districts and neighborhoods under the slogan "Heehat minna al-Dhulhah." At the launch, the General Mobilization Officer Ibtisam Al-Mahtouri stressed the importance of commemorating this anniversary, to inspire lessons from the courage and generosity of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and to follow his approach and sacrifice in real and responsible action to confront the tyrants of the age. She touched on the injustice practiced by the Zionist entity and the US, Britain and Western countries against the Palestinian people, which requires the nation to stand firmly against this injustice and support the Palestinian people by all available means. For her part, Hanan Al-Azzi, head of the cultural unit, reviewed the guidelines for commemorating this painful anniversary for the Islamic nation. She explained that the results and consequences of the nation's neglect of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) were disastrous, and that the nation still lacks the Hussaini stance to take revenge against injustice and tyranny, and that everyone must adopt this courageous stance.
