Fearne Cotton's estranged husband Jesse Wood makes first red carpet appearance with Made In Chelsea star Gemma Gregory

Daily Mail05-07-2025
Fearne Cotton has had 'new beginnings' inked on her right hip since splitting up with Jesse Wood. For her estranged husband, actions speak louder than words.
The son of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood made his first red-carpet appearance with former Made In Chelsea star Gemma Gregory on Friday.
Jesse, 48, and Gemma, 39, attended the VIP screening of Twiggy at The Cinema at Selfridges, hosted by the documentary's director, Sadie Frost.
The Daily Mail's Richard Eden disclosed in March that the couple had been enjoying a passionate romance for some time.
Fearne, 43, issued a shock statement to announce her split from Jesse after 10 years of marriage back in December, saying their priority was their children.
Last month, Gemma posted several loved-up pictures to Instagram, showing her and Jesse looking cosy as they cuddled and joked around during various days out.
The London-born actress and former model captioned the post: 'Love is the frequency of magic', followed by star and red heart emojis.
One friend commented, 'Gem you look so happy, glad you found a person who makes you happy.' Another said, 'You look so happy.'
Insiders say the relationship is progressing quickly - and it looks to be far more than a casual rebound following the shock collapse of Jesse's decade-long marriage to TV presenter Fearne last December.
'It's getting serious now. Jesse and Gemma are spending loads of time together and things are clearly going well,' a source close to the pair told MailOnline.
'He's been through a rough patch emotionally, but Gemma's really lifted him. They've got chemistry and a lot in common - she makes him laugh, and he feels relaxed around her. It's definitely more than a fling.'
The couple first went public in April when Gemma posted a sunny snap of Jesse hugging her tightly with the caption: 'Bloody love this one'.
It came just weeks after photos of Fearne kissing her new boyfriend, TV director Elliot Hegarty, emerged.
Fearne addressed her split from Jesse for the first time on Lorraine earlier this year, calling the situation 'very amicable' and saying the children - son Rex, 11, and daughter Honey, 8 - were 'doing great'.
She also spoke candidly about her health struggles, revealing that she had undergone surgery to remove two benign tumours from her jaw last year.
Jesse, meanwhile, has remained tight-lipped publicly, though his stepmother Jo Wood - ex-wife of his father Ronnie Wood - has spoken about the split.
'I was shocked, actually. I didn't expect Fearne to have a new boyfriend. And Jesse was devastated,' she told the Mail earlier this year.
'But sometimes in life, you have to go through these things… I'm sure Jesse's going to be very happy. These things work out. Their time was up - they had to move on.'
She also said she looked forward to meeting Gemma, describing the relationship at the time as 'all very new'.
Gemma, who has a son, Benji, from a previous relationship, is no stranger to the spotlight. She played young Estella in the 1999 adaptation of Great Expectations, and briefly appeared in
Made in Chelsea in 2012 thanks to her long-time friendship with Hugo Taylor.
She's also previously been romantically linked to aristocrat Nicholas Knatchbull - the godson of Prince Charles - and England polo captain Henry Brett.
Despite her Chelsea connections and glamorous past, Gemma has kept a relatively low profile in recent years - though friends say she's now 'glowing' with happiness.
Meanwhile, Fearne appears to be embracing her own new chapter, saying in a recent interview that she feels the happiest she's been in years and wants to focus on 'having fun' in her forties.
Speaking to BBC Radio 2's Scott Mills, she said: 'I'm really happy… I'm springing out of bed in the morning ready for life.'

Tesco launches limited-edition birthday cake sandwich inspired by Victoria sponge: ‘Get it while you can'

A brand new limited-edition sandwich launched by Tesco has divided opinions as the supermarket giant tells shoppers to 'get it while you can'. The Birthday Cake sandwich has been launched for four weeks in 1,000 locations across the UK. It can be purchased alone for £3, or as part of Tesco's popular meal deal offer for £4 alongside a drink and snack (£3.60 for clubcard members). It has been released to mark the 30th anniversary of the launch of the Tesco Clubcard, the retailer says. The sandwich 's ingredients bear resemblance to a Victoria sponge – a popular birthday cake option. Between two slices of brioche-style white bread, it contains full-fat soft cheese, seedless strawberry jam, sprinkles, and vanilla frosting. Tesco says the sandwich was developed over the course of nine months by its innovation team, describing it as 'an all time favourite treat, in an all time favourite deal.' Nutritional information for the sandwich shows that it contains 515 calories with 8.4g saturated fat (42 per cent of an adult's reference intake) and 31.5g sugar (35 per cent of reference intake). The intriguing product from Tesco comes after the success of M&S's strawberries and cream sandwich which was a viral sensation in June, becoming the supermarket 's best-selling sandwich in the two days after its launch. It was inspired by the popular Japanese 'furutsu sando,' which sees fruit fillings and cream put between two slices of pillowy milk bread. Tesco's new birthday cake-flavour offering is less precedented, however, and has seen shoppers divided. Popular Manchester-based food reviewer John's Snack Reviews (@johns_snackreviews) told his 26,000 followers that they should 'run to Tesco' after he tried the sandwich – but others are less convinced. Meanwhile, online creator Bella Hill (@ said the sandwich's filling looks like 'coleslaw,' before telling her 125,000 followers 'no, don't do that.' However, she then admitted the aftertaste 'wasn't too bad,' comparing it to a Victoria sponge cake. Another reviewer, @tipscostoflivingcrisis, told his 102k followers: 'This isn't good for you at all, but everyone deserves a treat now and again.' After trying it, he described it as 'disgustingly tasty.' Violaine Barthe, brand manager at Tesco said: 'With 3.1 million sandwiches sold in Tesco each year, sandwiches make up a big proportion of Clubcard purchases and so there was only one way to celebrate Clubcard turning 30. 'The Birthday Cake sandwich is a celebration not to be missed and we can't wait to hear the nation's feedback.'

Love Island champs Toni and Cach reveal how they'll spend £50k winnings as they beat Shakira and Harry

TONI Laites and Cach Mercer have revealed what they'll spend their £50,000 Love Island winnings on. The couple were crowned the 2025 Love Island winners last night, beating off competition from runners-up Shakira Khan and Harry Cooksley. 3 3 3 In a shock twist, strong favourites Yasmin Pettet and Jamie Rhodes came in third place. Ahead of their victory, Toni and Cach spoke to former Islanders and Aftersun hosts Indiyah Polack and Amy Hart. When asked what they'd spend the £50k on, Cash replied: 'I've already got what I want, money's just a bonus.' And Toni shared exciting holiday plans, adding: 'I'll take my mum on vacation, as well. After ours, of course…' Last night saw Toni and Cach congratulated by their co-stars as news of their win sunk in. But it seemed not everyone was happy for them. Blu Chegini appeared to totally dismiss their win and not celebrate with the others. Viewers know that Blu tried to get to know Toni, but she wasn't interested. The pair clashed more than a few times as they kept butting heads. Blu questioned Toni's intentions and accused her of playing a game to stay in the villa. Watch Love Island's Harrison roll his eyes and fake clap after ex Toni makes savage dig about him in live final And he was seen looking very stony-faced as he watched Toni and Cach celebrate with their fellow Islanders.

Suranne Jones looks VERY different with scruffy blonde bob as she transforms for new ITV heist drama Frauds with Jodie Whittaker

Suranne Jones looks very different with a scruffy blonde bob as her character in upcoming ITV heist drama Frauds. The new six-part show, created by Suranne and Annie-Marie O'Connor, is set to hit our screens later this year. Now a sneak peek of the actress as her alter-ego Bert in the drama, and her co-star Jodie Whittaker, has been shared. Suranne, who usually rocks dark hair, can be seen sitting in the passenger seat of a red car with much lighter locks. Meanwhile Jodie, who plays Sam in the programme, looks concerned gazing over at her from the driver's seat. ITV's official press release alongside the images says: 'As Sam has sought a low-key life, Bert's release from a Spanish prison for compassionate reasons reignites her ambition for one final, significant score. 'On the pretext of one final, multi-million-pound art heist, Bert attempts to lure Sam out of retirement, but at what cost? 'Can Sam stay one step ahead of her former friend, who is clearly capable of treachery? 'Or will the push and pull of their toxic friendship see them both ruined before they are able to pull off the job?' Suranne and Jodie are joined by Horacio Colomé, Talisa Garcia, Abdul Salis, Karan Gill, Elizabeth Berrington, Lee Boardman and Christian Cooke on the show. The likes of Thais Martin, Kate Fleetwood, Javier Taboada and Nansi Nsue are part of the star-studded cast too. Frauds will follow Bert fulfil her 'one final job' after spending 10 years in a Spanish prison. ITV announced that Frauds had been commissioned in January 2025. Suranne said at the time: 'Working on Frauds with Anne-Marie and Monumental for the last 2 years has been a wild ride. 'We took the idea of toxic female friendship and turned it on its head to give the heist genre an emotional heartbeat. 'I have always wanted to work with Jodie, and now I am. 'I hope you love Bert and Sam and all they get up to as much as we do.' Senior Drama Commissioning Editor at ITV, Helen Ziegler, said: 'We are delighted to be working with Suranne, Anne Marie and the brilliant team at Monumental on their unique take on a heist show. 'At its heart this is a story of a complex, surprising friendship, which asks if Sam and Bert can pull together for one last job, or whether the past will derail them. 'Suranne and Jodie are two incredible actors and it'll be thrilling to see what they bring to the central characters.' Frauds was written by Anne-Marie O'Connor, while Giulia Gandini directed the drama. The executive producers include Anne-Marie, Suranne, Debra Hayward, Alison Carpenter and Jill Forbes. The producer is Pat Tookey-Dickson and the company used was Monumental Television. It comes after Netflix released its first trailer for the-hotly anticipated political thriller Hostage starring Suranne Jones - and fans are already saying the same thing. The high-stakes drama is anchored by a powerful performance from English actress Suranne. The 46-year-old Vigil star not only plays the UK Prime Minister, but she also held a vital role as executive producer, marking her first project with Netflix.
