The Vivo T4 Ultra is set to feature a quad-curved display with a 1.5K resolution
The teaser also confirms that the phone will be sold via Flipkart
Unlike the T3 Ultra, the Vivo T4 Ultra will be launching a full three months earlier
A couple of weeks ago, rumours started floating that the Vivo T4 Ultra â€' the fourth addition to Vivo's T4 lineup â€' is expected to launch in June. Now, the company has announced that the upcoming device is set to officially launch on June 11, at noon. Alongside the date reveal, a couple of the phone's specifications have also been confirmed, including the device's 10x telephoto macro zoom camera, which is touted to be the segment's first. Aside from this, the phone is also set to feature a quad-curved display with a 1.5K resolution. The teaser also confirms that the phone will be sold via Flipkart.
This instance also confirms the fact that, compared to its predecessor, the T3 Ultra, the Vivo T4 Ultra will be launched a full three months earlier. The Vivo T3 Ultra launched in India last September 2024.
In terms of what to expect from the phone, some of the key specs of the Vivo T4 Ultra have already been leaked online, and it seems like the phone is set to receive a bunch of upgrades across the board.
According to an earlier leak by Yogesh Brar, with inputs from Digit, the Vivo T4 Ultra is said to feature a slightly smaller 6.67-inch pOLED display, with a 120Hz refresh rate. We have already mentioned that the resolution is confirmed to be 1.5K. Interestingly, the T3 Ultra used an AMOLED display, and the choice of going with a pOLED display on the T4 Ultra makes it interesting and also raises the question â€' could we see a slimmer profile on the upcoming device? Considering pOLED panels use a plastic substrate instead of glass, making it lighter and thinner, and leading to a slimmer phone design.
This also raises the question about battery capacity. The Vivo T4 Ultra leak does not mention the battery capacity but only mentions that the new model is said to get 90W fast charging, up from 80W fast charging on the older model. This is a good upgrade, and we appreciate faster charging, but does this also mean the phone may get a bigger battery? Or even if it is a similar 5,500mAh battery as the T3 Ultra, do we get a silicon carbon battery? These are some questions to which we feel we'll get the answers pretty soon.
Other information pointed out in the leak is that the Vivo T4 Ultra may be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 series chipset. Again, considering the T3 Ultra launched with the Dimensity 9200+ chipset, there's a good chance we may get to see the Dimensity 9300+ chipset inside the T4 Ultra. One more thing to note here is the fact that there hasn't been a phone released in India powered by the Dimensity 9300+ chipset. We did, however, get the flagship Vivo X100 series powered by the Dimensity 9300 chip in late 2023.
In terms of optics, leaks suggest the Vivo T4 Ultra may feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 sensor, carried over from the T3 Ultra. However, the biggest change â€' if the leak turns out to be true â€' may come in the form of a 50-megapixel telephoto lens. This could most likely be the same 10x telephoto macro zoom camera that Vivo has also confirmed, as mentioned above. Apart from this, the phone is expected to run Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, out of the box.
As of writing this, we are exactly a week away from the official launch date of the Vivo T4 Ultra. Come June 11, and we'll have all the details about the phones. Having said that, if the Vivo T3 Ultra is anything to go by, and considering the leaked specs of the T4 Ultra, expect the phone to launch at around the Rs 30,000 price point.
