Buy or sell: Vaishali Parekh recommends three stocks to buy today — 1 July 2025
Buy or sell stocks: After rising for three straight sessions, the key benchmark indices of the Indian stock market took a pause and ended lower on Monday. The Nifty 50 index ended 120 points lower at 25,517, the BSE Sensex finished 452 points lower at 83,606, while the Bank Nifty index went off 131 points and closed at 57,312. Leading the charge among the top performers on the Nifty were Trent, BEL, and SBI, showcasing notable resilience against the broader market's pullback. Conversely, Tata Consumers, Kotak Bank, and Axis Bank ended the session as major losers. On this final day of the June month, trading volumes on the NSE cash market were 3% lower compared to the average of the last ten days, indicating a slight moderation in activity. The Midcap and the Smallcap Indices bucked the trend, continuing their upward journey for the seventh day. Nifty Midcap 100 gained 0.60% while Nifty Smallcap 100 rose 0.52% to close at its highest levels since 02nd January. Market breadth remained positive for the fifth row, with advancing stocks outpacing declining ones, as indicated by a BSE advance-decline ratio of 1.36. Vaishali Parekh, Vice President of Technical Research at Prabhudas Lilladher, believes the Indian stock market sentiment is positive. However, the Nifty 50 index is facing a hurdle at the 25,650 zone. On breaking this hurdle on a closing basis, we can expect the 50-stock index to touch 26,200 soon. On the lower side, Nifty today has immediate support at 25,500, whereas it has crucial support at the 25,250 to 25,300 range. Speaking on the outlook for the Nifty 50 today, Vaishali Parekh said, "The Nifty 50 index witnessed a halt resisting near the 25,650 zone in the morning session and thereafter witnessed a gradual slide as the day progressed to end near the 25,500 zone with overall bias and sentiment maintained strong expecting for further rise in the coming days. As mentioned earlier, the index would have near-term support near the 25,250-25,300 zone. On the upside, with the strong undertone, the scope for higher targets of 25700 and 26200 levels is achievable, with bias and sentiment better placed." "The Bank Nifty index took a breather near the 57600 zone after the strong pick-up witnessed in the previous session and ended the day near the 57300 level with overall positive bias. The index continues to have important support near the 56000 zone, which needs to be sustained, and, on the upside, with the bias improving, can expect fresh targets of 58500 and 60000 levels in the coming days," said Parekh. Parekh said the immediate support for Nifty today is at 25400 levels, while the resistance is at 25,700. BankNifty would have a daily range of 57000-57800. Regarding stocks to buy today, Vaishali Parekh recommended buying TCS, Zen Tech, and UCO Bank, which are buy-or-sell stocks. 1] TCS: Buy at ₹ 3463, Target ₹ 3800, Stop Loss ₹ 3300; 2] Zen Tech: Buy at ₹ 1979, Target ₹ 2060, Stop Loss ₹ 1900; and 3] UCO Bank: Buy at ₹ 32, Target ₹ 36, Stop Loss ₹ 30. Haryana RTS panel orders ₹5K compensation to electricity consumer in Rohtak
The Haryana Right to Service Commission (RTS) has directed the concerned authorities to deduct ₹ 6,000 from the June month salary of a power department accountant, holding the official responsible for the harassment of a Rohtak-based electricity consumer. The Commission has termed this as very unfortunate saying that such a simple case could not be resolved at the level of first grievance redressal authority or second grievance redressal authority. (Getty Images/iStockphoto) The Haryana RTS has ordered that out of the ₹ 6,000 to be deducted from the salary of the official, ₹ 1,000 will be the fine to be imposed on the accountant in question and that ₹ 5,000 will be either paid as compensation to the complainant or adjusted in the consumer's bill. The Commission said that there was a delay of about one year in updating the consumer's metre change order in the system. Though the metre change order was updated by the department on June 11, 2023, the error remained in the consumer's bill, due to which he had to repeatedly lodge complaints and visit the office. This error was ultimately rectified only with the intervention of the Commission. The Commission has termed this as very unfortunate saying that such a simple case could not be resolved at the level of first grievance redressal authority or second grievance redressal authority. In a statement the Commission said that it was possible only due to the auto appeal system started by the Haryana Right to Service Commission that a consumer and his son could send their complaint to the Commission from home without any additional cost and they could get a total refund of ₹ 15,838 and ₹ 16,330, out of which ₹ 16,330 was received only as a result of the intervention of the Commission. 'The Commission has ordered that an amount of ₹ 6,000 be deducted from the salary of the concerned accountant… ₹ 1,000 be deposited in the state fund and ₹ 5,000 be adjusted in the consumer's bill or transferred to his bank account. Instructions have been given to ensure this payment by obtaining bank details from the consumer,' the spokesperson said. Apart from this, the Commission has also advised the Junior Engineer working as Second Grievance Redressal Authority-cum-XEN and First Grievance Redressal Authority to take consumer complaints seriously at the primary level itself and ensure timely resolution so that common citizens do not have to approach the Commission.

Shri Hare-Krishna Sponge Iron IPO to debut today. No GMP seen in unofficial market
Raipur-based Shri Hare-Krishna Sponge Iron is slated to make its debut on the NSE SME platform on Tuesday following a fully subscribed Rs 29.91 crore IPO. However, the issue is drawing no premium in the grey market, with the GMP currently at Rs 0, reflecting muted listing expectations among investors. The public offer, which ran from June 24 to June 26, was entirely a fresh issue of 50.70 lakh shares priced at Rs 59 apiece. The IPO received anchor backing worth Rs 8.50 crore on June 23, with 14.4 lakh shares allotted to institutional buyers. The registrar to the issue is Kfin Technologies , with Hem Securities managing the book and Hem Finlease acting as market maker. Incorporated in 2003, the company operates a 30,000 metric tonne per annum sponge iron manufacturing unit in Siltara, Raipur, spread over 13.45 acres. Proceeds from the IPO will largely be used to set up a captive power plant at the company's manufacturing site, with Rs 23 crore earmarked for this capex project. The remaining funds will go towards general corporate purposes. On the financial front, the company posted Rs 83.60 crore in revenue and Rs 9.2 crore in PAT for FY25. The absence of grey market interest may reflect broader market caution or limited institutional buzz. Investors will closely watch how the stock performs on debut amid a packed IPO week and several SME listings competing for attention.
