LONDON (AP) — Call this episode of Iga Swiatek's marvelous tennis career 'The One Where Iga Swiatek Got A Hug from Courteney Cox After Winning Wimbledon.'
Swiatek is a huge fan the TV sitcom 'Friends,' and actress Courteney Cox — who played Monica Geller on the show — was at Centre Court on Saturday when the Polish star's 6-0, 6-0 victory over Amanda Anisimova earned her a championship at the All England Club and sixth Grand Slam title overall.

When the match ended, Swiatek went into the stands for celebratory embraces, including one from Cox.
Shortly before the start of last year's French Open, Swiatek hit some tennis balls for fun with the actress.
Then, after Swiatek won that tournament for the fourth time, she wore custom-made white sneakers that her shoe sponsor stenciled with the words, ' The One Where She Wins Her Fifth Grand Slam ' in all capital letters, a nod to the way the names of 'Friends' were titled.

Olivia Robinson, a 36-year-old ex-Worcestershire County cricketer, is walking from Land's End to John O'Groats. She is on a mission to raise £20,000 for the cricket charity Chance to Shine by visiting and playing at cricket clubs along the route. "And I've walked 523 miles so far." As she travels, she is stopping at clubs to promote the sport to young people. Her Lancashire stops this week include Springhead, Ramsbottom, and Burnley cricket clubs. The walk is personal for Ms Robinson, who spent 10 years battling severe anorexia and mental health struggles. During her journey, she plans to reflect on her experiences and hopes to use what she learns to inspire others — while also painting scenes along the route. Ms Robinson said: "All I have to worry about is putting one foot in front of the other, fuelling myself, staying safe and not getting lost. "I'm looking forward to the simplicity of it all." The group of Year 8 and 9 pupils from Patcham High School, Brighton, along with seven staff members, were due to set off on the five day trip to The Netherlands on Monday, July 7, on a football tour. Advertisement Before any of the children boarded the coach, it crashed into the school railings, causing the door of the luggage hold to come off. A group of Patcham High students, whose school trip was canceled after their coach crashed just five minutes before they were setting off, received a welcome surprise from Brighton and Hove Albion. The community was determined to find an alternative for the children and the Brighton and Hove Albion Foundation delivered exactly that. Fauja Singh: British runner - believed to be world's oldest to complete a marathon - killed in road accident
A British runner, believed to be the oldest in the world to complete a marathon, has died in a road accident aged 114. Fauja Singh was hit by a car and suffered fatal injuries while trying to cross a road in his birth village of Beas Pind in India. News of his death was confirmed by his London-based running club and charity, Sikhs In The City. Singh had lived in Ilford since 1992, and become an inspiration for countless athletes by running marathons beyond his 100th birthday. His athletic achievements were made even more remarkable considering he suffered from thin and weak legs as a child - and couldn't walk until he was five years old. Singh's maiden marathon in London was in 2000, with a time of six hours and 54 minutes - 58 minutes faster than other runners of a comparable age. A personal best came in Toronto in 2003, at five hours and 40 minutes - and eight years later, it's believed he became the first centenarian to run a marathon. After serving as a torchbearer at the London 2012 Olympics aged 101, he retired. Harmander Singh, his coach at Sikhs In The City, described him as an "icon of humanity and powerhouse of positivity". MPs also paid tribute to his legacy, with Preet Kaur Gill writing on X: "Saddened to hear about the passing of Fauja Singh. "I had the honour of meeting him. A truly inspiring man. His discipline, simple living, and deep humility left a lasting mark on me. "A reminder that age is just a number, but attitude is everything. Rest in power, legend."
