PS5 owners warned consoles ‘overheating' if you play popular game as console ‘pushed to limits' & ‘goes into overdrive'

PLAYSTATION 5 owners have been warned that a new game may be overheating their consoles.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, which launched earlier this month, has been hyped up over the game's "stunning" graphics.

But the high-definition game is launching people's consoles into overdrive, players have reported on social media.
"I've been playing the game on a base PS5 and overall it runs great – the graphics are stunning and I've had no issues during regular gameplay," one player wrote on Reddit.
"But as soon as I pause the game and the map screen comes up, the fan suddenly goes into overdrive and I get an overheat warning.
"It's strange because everything else runs smoothly, even during long gameplay sessions.
"But the moment I bring up the map and start planning a route, the fan suddenly goes crazy and I get an overheating warning."
Consoles routinely overheat if they are kept in crowded spots, or are left to get dusty.
However, the overheating issue is even happening with well-ventilated and freshly cleaned consoles, the player claimed.
While the game's creators rushed to fix the problem with a new update, it doesn't appear to have worked, PushSquare reported.
'I've got the exact same problem,' another player said.
"I'm using an original PS5 digital version. Fans start screaming only on map menu."
The issue is isolated to the base PS5, according to PushSquare, with PS5 Pro players reportedly spared the problem.
Gaming consoles may be more susceptible to overheating at the moment as warm weather spikes in parts of the UK, Europe and the US.
Though it's worth noting that there may be more to the overheating issue, such as a memory leak.

Nicole Scherzinger looks fabulous at 47 as she shows off her incredible bikini body to celebrate birthday

Nicole Scherzinger flaunted her incredible body in a skimpy swimsuit as she rung in her 47th birthday over the weekend on Sunday. The Tony winner - who has 'shelved her upcoming solo album' - jumped to her Instagram page to upload a clip as she spent time on the sandy shore of a beach to ring in the special milestone. The beauty showcased her toned figure wearing a black and white-striped bikini top as well as matching bottoms. Scherzinger's long, dark locks were parted to the side and effortlessly flowed down past her shoulders in natural waves. The performer struck a variety of poses for the camera as she had a blast while waves crashed down around her at the tropical destination. At one point, Nicole also added a large hat on top of her head as the warm sun shone down on her. The star added text over the reel which read, 'POV: People born in 2000 are turning 25... and so am I.' And in the caption of the post, the songstress penned to her 7.1 million followers: '46 you were Golden!✨.' Scherzinger additionally shared another video as she flashed her sculpted abs while meditating near the ocean. The Broadway performer was filmed sitting cross-legged near the shallow water as the sun began to set in the distance. The camera moved around behind Nicole to offer a scenic view of the orange sun setting far off in the horizon. 'Reflecting with deep gratitude as another year rises on the horizon,' she wrote. 'So grateful for every breath, for every sunrise and sunset. Thank you God for another year.' Along with enjoying a relaxing beach day, the beauty further celebrated her birthday with a group of pals inside what appeared to be a club. She uploaded snippets from the bash and put on a leggy display wearing a dazzling ensemble with shimmering, tasseled details. Scherzinger's long, dark locks were parted to the side and effortlessly flowed down past her shoulders in natural waves Scherzinger danced the night away while indulging in tasty snacks such as savory pizza and sipped on refreshing drinks. 'Thank you so much for all the birthday love and wishes❣️,' the singer typed out alongside the reel as Lizzo's track Birthday Girl played in the background. When it comes to her fit physique, the former lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls has previously opened up about her fitness regime. During a past interview with Women's Health, Nicole expressed, 'I like to switch it up and try new things, but most recently, I've just been pretty consistent with more HIIT workouts.' However, she still likes to branch out to try out other routines when it comes to fitness. 'I love doing everything from SoulCycle spinning and climbing to boxing and dance cardio. It's really good to always keep your body guessing and to always switch it up.' Scherzinger also dished on her diet, which includes intermittent fasting and having balance. 'If I have some frozen fruit laying around, I'll make an oat milk smoothie. Sometimes I'll put turmeric powder in it, which is delicious and anti-inflammatory.' 'Thank you so much for all the birthday love and wishes❣️,' the singer typed out alongside the reel as Lizzo's track Birthday Girl played in the background She also indulges in yummy snacks, such as Cheetos and allows herself to enjoy desserts. 'I love red velvet cake with cream cheese icing; carrot cake with cream cheese icing... I love muffins and cake.' Nicole has been keeping busy and recently won a Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for her performance in Sunset Blvd. She has taken on the lead role of Norma Desmond in the production and will play the character until July 20. While recently talking to People, Scherzinger recalled returning to the stage one day after her Tony win. 'I had never experienced anything like that in my life. It was absolutely incredible,' she expressed. The star added that the audience would often erupt into a standing ovation during the show. Following one song, Nicole said, 'I think it was, like, a three- or four-minute standing ovation. After a while, I was like, "This is embarrassing. You all need to sit down."' However, the singer explained that she was grateful for the moment and called it 'rewarding.' 'It was saved up over a lifetime, and it all happened in that moment, and it just richly, deeply filled my heart and my soul. It was beyond rewarding. I'll never forget it. Everything just felt on fire.' She continued, 'The cast was fired up, obviously, winning the Tony for best show, revival. I mean, that was huge. Everybody just felt the energy. 'It was a lot of work that we had put into it. It was beautiful. Everything was just on another level. It was vibrating and it was crazy. It was beyond electric.' Nicole is reportedly also in 'early talks' for a Las Vegas residency amid her Broadway success. A source told The Mirror this month, 'Nicole is achieving all her career dreams this year. 'She's conquered Broadway and won a well-deserved Tony, but Nicole has no plans to slow down her career, not when she's in her absolute prime and in such demand.' The residency - which has yet to be officically finalized - will be similar to her time at Carnegie Hall later this year in October, which includes a live band as she performs a blend of pop and Broadway tracks.

I tried DIY stencilling my bedroom but when I unpeeled the finished look I was horrified – it was too advanced for me

DOING your own DIY can save you a lot of money, but some people make it look easier than others. One woman shared how she had been inspired to stencil her bedroom wall, but it hadn't gone according to plan. 3 3 TikTok user @lifeatthelma showed how she had picked out a gorgeous sage green paint and had then taped a decorative stencil to the wall. She thought everything had gone swimmingly, until she peeled back the stencil to reveal her hard work. To her horror, the paint had spread until the stencil and it looked messy and not like the design she had wanted. On her video, which has over 1.6million views, she wrote: "Unfortunately I think stencilling may be too advanced for me lol. 'This bedroom really has been testing me.' After she pulled off a larger section, she joked: 'But do we think it is giving cottage core (the goal) or chain link fence?' Many people were quick to offer their advice in the comments as to how she could fix it. One said: 'dry the brush as much as possible , almost no color on it and then multiple coats.' Another added: 'You need a stenciling brush and BLOT the paint off before you put it on the stencil.' And a third commented: 'Practice makes perfect. Either the stencil wasn't snug against the wall, you used too much product, or you used the wrong applicator.' My garden was looking so old and the patio was broken - now it's a lush oasis and people can't believe how little I spent The woman said she was going to continue, after making the recommended tweaks. She continued: 'So, people also said to get a box or, like, cardboard to wipe the brush off so it's mostly dry. So we're gonna try that. 'One other suggestion was to have adhesive for this. No one told me what kind of adhesive, so let me know, because if this doesn't work, then I'll try it out. 'Because it does pucker a little bit from the wall. But I don't want any residue left on the wall, so that's what I'm concerned about.' STENCIL WAR 3 We previously shared how another woman had more success with her stencilling her front porch area, but it sparked a neighbour row. A clip shared to TikTok showed how she had added the stencils to the front steps of her home, and also to the passageway leading to her neighbours' houses either side. She had abruptly stopped when she reached one of the neighbour's boundaries due to a dispute. The woman explained on her @__bambamx account: 'When you help your mum paint her slabs, and she has two neighbours - but she doesn't like one. 'Neighbours at war - Don't get any more blatant than that.'

Tennis legend Martina Navratilova slams Hollywood star Pedro Pascal over his JK Rowling criticism following trans feud

TENNIS legend Martina Navratilova has slammed Pedro Pascal for criticizing JK Rowling. Pascal is one of Hollywood's biggest stars right now and a stern supporter of trans rights. 3 3 Rowling has conflicting views with Pascal, who has a transgender sibling. The Harry Potter author recently supported the Supreme Court ruling that protected women-only spaces. "I love it when a plan comes together," she posted alongside a picture of her smoking a cigar on a boat. Pascal responded by calling Rowling's reaction "awful" and "disgusting." "I can't think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist," he responded in a separate post. In a recent Vanity Fair interview, he continued his tirade against Rowling while defending his strong response. "The one thing that I would say I agonized over a little bit was just, 'Am I helping? Am I f***ing helping?'" Pascal said. "It's a situation that deserves the utmost elegance so that something can actually happen, and people will actually be protected. "Listen, I want to protect the people I love. "But it goes beyond that. Bullies make me f***ing sick." The Last of Us season 2 trailer hints at long-awaited release date Rowling quickly fired off a response at Pascal. "Can't say I feel very shut down, but keep at it, Pedro," she said. "God loves a trier." Navratilova is outspoken against transgender topics like Rowling. "I hate that the Democrats totally failed women and girls on this very clear issue of women's sports being for females only," she posted in April. Navratilova joined Rowling in posting against Pascal. "Another Johnny come lately telling women to STFU," she posted. Navratilova is a tennis legend, winning 18 major titles in her career.
