'All of my friends who have kids are in hell.'
When Chappell Roan said these words on a recent episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, she probably didn't foresee the online firestorm they would create. The 27-year-old pop star went on to say that she doesn't know anyone her age with children who is 'happy, well-rested, or has light in their eyes.'

50 Cent, Kesha, Aubrey O'Day and More Stars React to 'Diddy' Verdict: 'The Cultural Weight of This Decision Is Immeasurable'
Hollywood stars are reacting to the news of the verdict in the Sean 'Diddy' Combs sex trafficking and racketeering case that found him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution but acquitted of the more serious sex trafficking and racketeering charges. Over the past six weeks, federal prosecutors have called numerous witnesses and presented evidence that ultimately did not convince the jury that the former hip-hop mogul was guilty of using his company as a criminal enterprise and conspiring with his associates and employees to traffic and abuse women. The prosecution's star witness was Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura, Combs' longtime ex-girlfriend, who testified about years of alleged abuse, including coercion into nonconsensual sex acts, physical violence and control through threats. More from The Hollywood Reporter Foo Fighters Are Back With First Song Since 2023 to Celebrate 30th Anniversary What the Hell Happened With the Sean "Diddy" Combs Verdict? Sean "Diddy" Combs Denied Release on Bail After Mogul Was Acquitted of Most Serious Charges After the verdict was revealed Wednesday, entertainment industry figures took to social media to share their thoughts on the news. Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson, a longtime rival of Diddy's, took to Instagram to share his thoughts. 'Diddy beat the Rico, that boy a bad man !' he wrote, adding, 'he like the Gay John Gotti.' Aubrey O'Day, who worked with the Bad Boy Records founder on his Making the Band 3 reality show centered on his label's group Danity Kane, shared a video on her Instagram Stories reacting to the verdict. 'Oh my God, not guilty on Cassie, not guilty on Rico, no way that Jane is gonna be guilty,' she said while filming a video of CNN reporters sharing the verdict. 'This makes me physically ill…. Cassie probably feels so horrible. Ugh, I'm gonna vomit.' O'Day posted a separate statement to her Instagram Stories: 'The cultural weight of this decision is immeasurable. It is heartbreaking to witness how many lives have been impacted by their experiences with Sean Combs — only for those stories to fall short in the eyes of a jury. I can only hope these jurors never have to watch someone they love endure what so many survivors have described.' Over the years, O'Day has been vocal in her distaste toward Combs. After joining Danity Kane, she was kicked out of the musical group in 2008, alleging on an episode of Call Her Daddy that the mogul removed her because she 'wasn't willing to do what was expected of me, not talent-wise, but in other areas.' She shared support for Ventura in her statement, adding, 'My heart is with Cassie. A woman who could've had a life and career free of fear and control. A woman who told her truth in a courtroom, only to have the world dissect her credibility instead of her courage.' 'Women, Nor men, Nor ANY ARTIST — are the property of those with the most wealth, fame & power. We are not disposable. 12 people on a jury will not be deciding that for us,' she concluded the post. Shortly after the verdict was announced, the singer appeared on Inside Edition where she said her reaction to hearing the news was 'a gut punch.' 'I'm floored by the jury's verdict,' O'Day added. 'The evidence is there. For me, it's all the way there.' Grammy-nominated singer Kesha, too, posted on X (formerly Twitter) in solidarity with Ventura. There, she wrote, 'Cassie, I believe you. I love you. Your strength is a beacon for every survivor.' Kesha announced last year that she was changing the lyric in her 2010 hit 'TiK ToK' to 'fuck P. Diddy' from the original 'feeling like P. Diddy' after multiple allegations of sexual misconduct were leveled against Combs. Rosie O'Donnell shared her take on the verdict on Instagram, writing, 'i guess a jury just never wants to believe that a woman stays because of power and coercion – wow – they just think women stay because what? money – fame – 'they love the abuse' – what a fucking joke – this decision got me angry #cassie.' Going loco for Labubu: Why adults can't stop buying the collectible plush toy
Kevin Duong bought his first Labubu in January 2025 with his boyfriend -- before most Americans had heard of the doll. He remembers the exhilarating feeling of them each opening a "blind box," a mystery toy package in which the specific design is unknown until opened. Duong and his boyfriend each got exactly what they wanted. "I pulled the pink and he pulled the purple, and we just had that rush of yelling, screaming and all of that," said Duong, a 23-year-old YouTuber. "It's a nice little bonding, too, that we got closer." Six months later, Labubu has blown up everywhere. From long lines wrapping around malls to fights breaking out in Pop Mart stores, the little monster doll with a toothy grin -- specifically marketed for adults -- has taken the world by storm. "You have a lot of people on TikTok do blind box opening events," said Markus Maciel, associate professor of toy design at Otis College. "It's kind of like Pokemon where you get your cards, you're not sure where you're gonna get. These blind box motions help inspire people to keep wanting to collect and collect and collect." Besides the blind box phenomenon that has hooked global consumers, the success of Labubu is also largely driven by celebrity endorsement. K-pop group BLACKPINK member Lisa explained her Labubu obsession in a Vanity Fair interview in November, becoming one of the first celebrities to showcase the doll in the United States. Since then, many celebrities have publicly engaged with Labubu. Brad Pitt and his fellow "F1" castmates opened Labubu blind boxes during a Warner Bros. interview. Sarah Jessica Parker learned about it during a "Call Her Daddy" episode. Cher was seen draping one off her handbag at the Tribeca Film Festival in June. "I went from thinking this was the most stupid thing I've ever seen to thinking this is the most brilliant thing," reality TV star Bethenny Frankel admitted in a TikTok post, showing off her Labubu as a bag charm for her "Firkins," or fake Birkin bags. Stars such as Emma Roberts, Tom Brady and Lizzo have also shown their love for the doll on social media. "A lot of stars are taking part in it and actually showcasing [Pop Mart's] product lines," said Maciel. "And that's a huge shift. Once you have somebody that you admire, and they are just showing a product that you may or may not know much about, you're going to [know] now." Created by Hong Kong-born Belgian artist Kasing Lung as part of the picture book series "The Monsters," Labubu is based on figures from Nordic mythology. In 2019, the "monsters" were transformed by Chinese designer toy company Pop Mart into a collectible that eventually unlocked a global mania. The global obsession for Labubu has made Pop Mart a billion-dollar business. The company's revenue doubled in 2024, reaching $1.8 billion, according to Pop Mart's annual financial report. While the doll retails for about $30, they can go for hundreds and sometimes even thousands of dollars on the resale market. According to Emily Brough, head of licensing at Pop Mart, "recent Labubu drops have sold out within minutes -- both online and in-store." Experienced collectors like Kevy Oh, who describes himself as having "a PhD in Labubunomics," give detailed tutorials on how to get a Labubu on TikTok. "I think a lot of us wanted [it] because it was getting so hard to obtain," said Duong, who has now spent over $1,000 on his Labubu collection. "I just wanted that rush of getting it, and I think the journey and the obstacles of getting the Labubu really made it even more enjoyable." For Duong, the appeal of Labubu is more than its scarcity or collectibility. Like many adult consumers, Duong seeks nostalgia and comfort in the bug-eyed doll. "I had a really good childhood where toys were a big part of my life," said Duong. "Being an adult is very stressful and overwhelming at times, but having just a little part of my life where I can just sit down, open a blind box or look at my toys and be happy about it, it's really good to not overthink about life."

Charlize Theron raves about 'freedom' of her 40s and 'amazing' one-night stand with a 26-year-old
On screen, Charlize Theron kicks ass an immortal warrior. But off screen, the Old Guard 2 star knows that age is nothing but a number. On the latest episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, Theron spoke candidly about the newfound sexual freedom she's discovered in her 40s and revealed that she recently had a one-night stand with a man nearly half her age. While discussing dating with host Alex Cooper, the actress, 49, said she's only had a few one-night stands in her life, "But I did just recently f‑‑‑ a 26-year-old, and it was really f‑‑‑ing amazing." She added, "I've never done that. And I was like, 'Oh, this is great. Okay.'" Asked to share any "sex tips" she might have for female listeners, Theron was unsure. "I am the last person to ask," she replied. "I'm like sounding very cocky here, but I think it's because I have found this freedom in my 40s where I'm like, 'Oh my God.' So I just want to say this in perspective: I've probably had three one-night stands in my entire life." The Atomic Blonde star noted that when she had her recent one-night stand, it made her think, "Oh, f‑‑‑, I should have done this in my 20s." But she pointed out that between being partnered up and having kids, there was never time for such things. "Who has f‑‑‑ing time for dates and shaving and waxing and makeup?" Theron quipped. "I've got two children that have to go to school the next [day]." As for her advice to listeners, Theron encouraged them to advocate for themselves in intimate situations, noting, "Women who come across as confident and outspoken tend to also be, in bed, people who want to please males. Isn't it strange? We should be the ones that are like, 'F‑‑‑ you, I'm going to have an orgasm.' My advice would be this: 'Don't f‑‑‑ing do that. For two reasons: You're going to have better orgasms, and your man is going to like that.'" Her advice didn't stop there. Theron also opened up about her experience on dating apps, including Raya, offering guidance to the men she often swipes past."Not because I want to date you, but because I want to help you," she began. "No Burning Man photos. No photos of you with other women. I don't care. I don't want to know that you have girlfriends. And I don't want you shooting a f‑‑‑ing selfie in your closet of your hand in a jean pocket.' She continued: "It makes my vagina close. I just can't. And don't tell me you're a CEO, because you're not. Like, I'm sorry. Of what? Of some business you can't explain to me that none of my friends can understand? Like, no. I'm a 50-ass-year-old woman telling you, 'Don't do it.' Girls don't like it. They don't f‑‑‑ing like it." Theron has previously been romantically linked to actors Stuart Townsend, Craig Bierko, and Sean Penn, as well as Third Eye Blind frontman Stephan Jenkins and model Alex Dimitrijevic. She is a mother of two, having adopted daughters Jackson and August in 2012 and 2015. Watch Theron's full Call her Daddy episode above. Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly
