The company raised Dh30.5 billion through a range of capital market instruments, including the world's first AA-rated sovereign sukuk, a bond with the tightest credit spread ever issued in emerging markets, Mubadala's first dirham-denominated global sukuk and the first Euro-denominated 6- and 7-year corporate facilities in the EMEA region.
'This year marked two decades of disciplined financial performance as an investor central to the UAE's long-term competitiveness. We will work to deepen these partnerships, invest in advancing innovation and create new entities in Abu Dhabi and around the world.'
'Mubadala's 10.1 per cent return over the last five years reflects our disciplined capital allocation strategy, resilient execution and consistent focus on long-term value creation,' said Carlos Obeid, Group Chief Financial Officer. 'We continue to grow and diversify across sectors and geographies, supported by a strong balance sheet, a low cost of debt, and a conservative gearing ratio of 7.8 per cent, which positions us well for future investments.'
In 2024, Mubadala continued to be a key driver of innovation, economic diversification, and job creation in the UAE, reinforcing the country's position as a global hub for capital and future-focused industries.
Mubadala's portfolio continued to expand across North America, Europe, and Asia, guided by long-term investment horizons and aligned with global growth trends and Abu Dhabi's economic vision.
Mubadala Capital, now managing $30 billion (Dh110.2 billion), two-thirds on behalf of global investors, grew its international footprint by acquiring Fortress Investment Group and establishing a $1 billion (Dh3.6 billion) partnership with Silver Rock Financial. Mubadala's private credit portfolio grew to US$20 billion (Dh73.5 billion), supported by deep, trusted partnerships with institutions including Apollo, Ares, Carlyle, Goldman Sachs, and KKR.
Since 2021 the company has not disclosed annual financial figures such as revenue or net income but has disclosed its rolling 5-year IRR and, in 2024, has begun publishing its 10-year rolling IRR which in 2024 was 8.7 per cent.

Euro zone bond yields steady as markets assess US, UK inflation data
Euro zone government bond yields edged slightly lower on Wednesday, as markets assessed U.S. inflation figures released Tuesday that suggested tariffs may be pushing up prices while the latest hot UK inflation data pushed gilt yields higher. The June CPI data out of the U.S. on Tuesday showed an increase of 0.3%, suggesting tariffs are reading through to prices, and spurring investors to slightly scale back their bets on Federal Reserve rate cuts with Wall Street markets falling late on Tuesday as treasury yields rose. But the mood was decidedly muted on Wednesday, with German 10-year yields, the euro area's benchmark, down a mere 1 bps to 2.7%, hovering just off a nearly four-month high of 2.737% scaled on Monday. "It's relatively quiet - no spillover from UK CPI to Europe. A pause after a run up in yields makes sense. I'm keeping a close eye on stocks after profit warnings .. that puts a brake on yields," said Kenneth Broux, head of corporate research FX and rates at Societe Generale. The two-year yield – more sensitive to expectations for European Central Bank policy rates – was also down 1 bp to 1.86% . The German 30-year yield was down 1 bps at 3.23%, having risen to its highest level since October 2023 on Monday, touching 3.26%. Markets are looking ahead to U.S. producer price data due later to assess the extent of inflationary pressures in the U.S. UK CPI data meanwhile showed Britain's annual rate of consumer price inflation unexpectedly rose to its highest in over a year, at 3.6% in June. The print meant UK 10-year gilts were a rare outlier, rising 2 bps to 4.65%, while most of the other major government bonds yields were slightly down. Markets are focused on U.S. President Donald Trump's ongoing trade war, with his latest move being a 19% tariff on goods from Indonesia under a new agreement with the Southeast Asian country. It comes as the European Union is readying retaliatory measures should talks with Washington fail. Planned U.S. tariffs of 30% on imports from the EU could cost the German economy about a quarter of a percentage point in growth this year and next compared with current forecasts, the IMK institute said on Wednesday. Elsewhere, the German cabinet approved on Wednesday a medium-term fiscal plan that will be submitted to the European Commission, a spokesperson from the finance ministry said. Italian EU-harmonised consumer prices (HICP) rose 0.2% month-on-month in June and were up 1.8% from the year earlier, official statistics agency ISTAT said on Wednesday, slightly revising up preliminary data. The European Union statistics office on Wednesday said the euro zone's May seasonally adjusted trade balance was 16.2 billion euros, with an earlier Reuters poll expecting 13 billion euros. Mubadala becomes part of new consortium to acquire Techem for $7.9bn
Mubadala Investment Company, Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund, is acquiring Germany's Techem, an international provider of digitally enabled solutions for the real estate sector, for a total consideration of AED 29 billion (US$7.9 billion). Partners Group, one of the largest firms in the global private markets industry; GIC, a leading global investor; and TPG Rise Climate, the dedicated climate investing strategy of TPG's global impact investing platform, are the other involved companies. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2025, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals. Founded in 1952, Techem serves over 440,000 customers across 18 countries and manages more than 13 million dwellings. About 62 million of its devices are installed worldwide, helping the property industry and private landlords improve energy efficiency, cut consumption, costs, and CO 2 emissions through low-cost, non-invasive methods. Techem's services contribute to the long-term decarbonisation of the real estate sector, which accounts for around 40 per cent of global CO 2 emissions. In 2018, Techem was acquired by a consortium led by Partners Group's Private Equity business, alongside co-investors La Caisse and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. The group oversaw a period of strong growth at the company, with revenues reaching over EUR1 billion (US$1.17 billion) and EBITDA growing around 50 per cent. As part of the new transaction, the earlier consortium will exit their stakes in Techem and the new ownership consortium will implement a value creation plan focused on strengthening its position as a leading digital-first provider of submetering solutions for the real estate sector across Europe. This will be done by further digitalising operations, adding complementary offerings such as smart meters, and enabling other digital services focused on improving building efficiency. Abdulla Mohamed Shadid, Head of Energy and Sustainability at Mubadala's Private Equity Platform, commented: 'The decarbonisation of the real estate sector continues to be a global priority for better and more sustainable living. As a trusted and leading sub-metering services provider with a digital edge, Techem is well-positioned to continue leading this transition, improving the energy management of buildings through better efficiency and consumption. 'We are delighted to be investing alongside Partners Group, GIC, and TPG Rise Climate and to be supporting Techem as it continues to expand and strengthen its value proposition. This transaction aligns with Mubadala's long-term commitment to deploying capital purposefully and helping to find solutions to global challenges.' Following the acquisition, Partners Group's infrastructure business will have a controlling stake in Techem on behalf of its clients. David Daum, Partner, Head Infrastructure Europe, Partners Group, added: 'Over the past seven years, together with La Caisse and Ontario Teachers', our private equity business built Techem into a global energy services provider. We see great potential for the company moving forward and are pleased to be able to continue to actively drive this success story with our new investors GIC, TPG Rise Climate, and Mubadala. Energy efficiency is a key thematic focus, and Techem is poised to continue benefiting from the thematic tailwinds of the push for decarbonisation.'
