Coronation Street's Sue Devaney reveals big decision over Debbie story: 'I don't want to know'
Debbie has started to show signs of the memory loss disease, with the story set to culminate in her exit, despite fan outcry.
In order to more accurately portray real life, and to make things more exciting for her as an actor, Devaney has asked soap bosses not to let her known plot details in advance.
"I have decided that I don't want to know what is coming up for Debbie," she said. "I want to wait for the scripts because in real life you don't know what is coming. I think it's more interesting to play it like that."
She also explained what research she did for the storyline, stating that: "I've spoken to my friend who works with dementia patients. She's got a clinic where she sees patients with early onset dementia so I speak to her a lot.
"We have been working with Dementia UK, when we had our initial meeting they told me a lot about the tests you have to do and how you are diagnosed with it and where you go from there."

The actor added that Debbie feels incredibly scared when the specialist refers her to the memory clinic, after initially thinking she was just going through the menopause.
"It makes her think it's something more serious," she said. "Menopause is a scary time for any woman, with hormones all over the place and doing bizarre things. It changes your brain.

"I spoke to a support worker from Dementia UK, and she said many women think it's just menopause and don't get tested, even though the symptoms can be similar, like brain fog, but on a much bigger scale with dementia."
According to a press release, this storyline will unfold "over the coming months and years", so Debbie may not be going anywhere anytime soon.

AEW returning to Prudential Center for Full Gear riding wave of All In momentum
All Elite Wrestling is returning to the tri-state area for one of its major pay-per-view events. The brand will return to the Prudential Center for the second consecutive year to host Full Gear on Saturday, Nov. 22, with tickets going on sale on Aug. 25. Advertisement AEW continues to bring major shows annually to the New York-New Jersey area, also hosting Forbidden Door at UBS Arena last year. 'Being around wrestling and being a fan of wrestling my whole life, I know it's very important to keep a great relationship with the fans around New York and New Jersey, and we have such great fans in the area,' AEW CEO Tony Khan told The Post. 'Full Gear is one of the best events every year for AEW and the wrestling fans and I'm very excited to bring Full Gear back to the Prudential Center.' The company is currently riding a wave of momentum after a highly successful All In pay-per-view in front of 25,000 fans at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas earlier this month — its most attended show ever in North America. 4 Kenny Omega Lee South/AEW Advertisement The show saw 'Hangman' Adam Page end Jon Moxley's 273-day reign as AEW World champion to a huge pop from the crowd. 'The only thing I have seen worldwide that had a comparable pace was some of the very best of the Wrestle Kingdom events [from New Japan] because typically AEW pay-per-view events have been paced differently.' Khan said he has yet to think past that on whether the event will stay there or move to different cities in the U.S., after the success in Texas. That started with him writing his outline for 'everybody's segments, not just certain segments but the entire show,' and then he would come in and 'hear people out.' 'I think I found myself in 2024 doing some of the same things I was doing in 2019, in terms of lots of meetings and lots of good conversations, but probably being almost too open to feedback and ideas and too often I was leading a committee, putting an outline and ideas together instead of, I should just sit down, and that's what I do now,' Khan said. 4 The Young Bucks take flight at All In. The approach wasn't working. Advertisement 'I looked at myself in the mirror around Christmas 2024 the same way I did around Christmas 2019 and said I need to be accountable for everything that happens on the show and I should stop having so many meetings and I should just put the show together to be what I believe it should be,' Khan said. AEW is in its first year of its new television rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, but we have yet to see the company's live pay-per-views shift HBO Max; they currently air on Prime Video in the United States. Khan said he is 'excited about the future' of pay-per-views on Max, but the technology and platform to do so on the streaming service is something that's 'absolutely being worked on right now.' While fans wait for that, AEW continues to move forward toward Full Gear back in New Jersey later this year.

Darksiders 4 was not on my 2025 bingo card
Darksiders 4 is officially coming. During the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase on Friday, we got a glimpse at the next game in the hack and slash action-adventure franchise, alongside trailers for roughly a dozen other games that are in the works, including Reanimal and The Eternal Life of Goldman. It's been a while since we've seen a new mainline Darksiders title from developer Gunfire Games, and while the fourth entry follows 2019's prequel, Darksiders Genesis, the announcement says it will "continue where the original Darksiders game left off." Darksiders 4 features all four Horsemen, and you'll get to choose which one to play as. It features "combat, traversal and puzzle solving in a lore rich post apocalyptic world." The teaser doesn't give us much information beyond that and there's no release date just yet, but we do know it'll be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. If you missed the showcase, you can catch up here on everything that was announced (like that new Spongebob game). And according to THQ Nordic, that's only half of what it has up its sleeve. At the end of the showcase, the publisher said a total of 28 games are currently in development, with 15 we still have yet to see.
