Saiyaara lifetime box office: Biggest love story of 2025 with Rs 400 crore haul
"'Saiyaara' is tracking very well, and it's poised to have a very successful run. We all know that. I believe Rs 400 crore box office in the domestic market is a very good number. The film can very easily achieve that," he said.Saiyaara vs Son of Sardaar 2 vs Dhadak 2 vs Mahavtar Narsimha at box officeReferring to the new releases which are hitting the screens this weekend, the trade analyst shared, "There is a rush of fresh releases. 'Dhadak 2' is looking very good, everyone is talking about it. 'Son of Sardaar 2' is there. There are other films also. Even the 'Mahavtar Narsimha' animation film is doing well. Having said that, I believe that 'Saiyaara' has a very long innings at the box office. I hope it does 50 days as well, and I believe 55 days or Rs 400 crore is definitely on the cards."But how would the fresh releases impact 'Saiyaara's' business in the long run? While a "speed-breaker" will be experienced, the overall run doesn't look bleak, he added."As we all know, when new releases come, they do tend to give a little roadblock or a speed-breaker to the previous film which is running. So, in this case, 'Dhadak 2' is also a similar genre film, and people are talking about it. It's a youthful romance, a musical, and the audiences seem excited about it." He talked about the other film: 'Son of Sardar 2' is also a family entertainer. I believe if the reception of both these new releases is good, it will have some impact at the box office. However, eventually 'Saiyaara' is an audience-approved film. I don't think much difference is going to be there. It has already done a major part of its business." Considering the current trend, 'Saiyaara' is expected to continue its domestic run, but overseas will see a slight shift due to new international releases.Johar said anything between "9-10 million mark from overseas business is good."'Saiyaara' is running at around Rs 273 crore nett in India, and it will be able to enter the Rs 300 crore club by the end of its third weekend. The journey to Rs 400 crore will not be as smooth as it has been so far, but the film is likely to hit a home-run at the end of its lifetime business. It will be difficult for any romantic film to follow the same path as 'Saiyaara', at least this year. - EndsTrending Reel

'Saiyaara' box office day 16: Mohit Suri's film shows strong Saturday surge and growing theatre buzz
Saiyaara continues its impressive box office run, with early estimates placing the day 16 (third Saturday) collection at ₹ 6.35 crore. This brings the total earnings to a formidable ₹ 291.35 crore, as the film edges closer to the ₹ 300 crore milestone. After earning ₹ 107.75 crore in its second week and ₹ 4.5 crore on its third Friday, Saiyaara witnessed a noticeable uptick on Saturday, reflecting growing weekend interest and positive word-of-mouth. Theatre occupancy also showed a strong trend across major cities. Nationally, Saiyaara recorded 34.38% occupancy in evening shows, up from 30.79% in the afternoon and 16.14% in the morning, indicating a steady climb throughout the day. City-wise, Bengaluru led the surge with 58.67% occupancy, followed by Chennai at 48.67%, and Pune at 35.33%. The National Capital Region (NCR) also held firm at 30.67%, while Mumbai stood at 24.33%. Other metros like Hyderabad (31.67%) and Jaipur (32.33%) contributed to the film's momentum. While some cities such as Surat (10%), Bhopal (19.67%), and Kolkata (19%) showed relatively modest numbers, the overall performance across urban centres suggests continued audience engagement. With Sunday yet to come and momentum building, Saiyaara is well on track to surpass ₹ 300 crore in the coming days. The strong Saturday performance has reinforced the film's commercial success, making it one of the top-grossing Hindi releases of the year. Saiyaara has also become the second Indian film of 2025 to cross the ₹ 400-crore mark globally, next only to Chhaava ( ₹ 808 crore). It is now eyeing entry into the prestigious ₹ 500 crore club, possibly by the end of the third weekend. Saiyaara is a romance-drama about Krish Kapoor (Ahaan Panday), a budding musician, and Vaani Batra (Aneet Padda), a shy writer. Through their relationship, the film explores love, loss, and drama.

Dhadak 2 box office collection day 2: Shazia Iqbal's directorial debut starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri released in theatres on August 1 after facing multiple delays. After having a slow start at the box office, has Dhadak 2 managed to show growth on its second day of release? As per the latest update on Sacnilk, the film is yet to cross the ₹10 crore mark. Dhadak 2 box office collection day 2: Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri's love saga has stiff competition from Son of Sardaar 2. Dhadak 2 box office update The report states that Dhadak 2 has collected ₹3.75 crore on its second day of release. On Friday, the film made an opening day haul of ₹3.5 crore. The total collection of the film now stands at ₹7.25 crore. Dhadak 2 is facing stiff competition at the box office from another new release (and sequel)- Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar 2. The comedy saga made twice as more than Dhadak 2 on its second day with ₹7.5 crore, as per Sacnilk. Son of Sardaar 2's overall collection now stands at ₹14.5 crore. Meanwhile, Saiyaara, now in its third week, is still going strong. The film is set to cross the ₹300 crore mark by Sunday. Elsewhere, animated film Mahavtar Narasimha is also performing exceedingly well in its second week. About Dhadak 2 Dhadak 2 chronicles the turbulent love story of Nilesh (Siddhant), a Dalit law student who falls in love with his classmate Vidhi (Triptii), who hails from an upper-caste household. They have to fight casteism and classism in order to make their relationship survive. The film received positive reviews upon release, with many praising the hard-hitting direction and mature performances of the cast. It is an adaptation of Periyarum Perumal. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap lauded the film and said, 'The film captures the conversation that we avoid on a day-to-day basis. This is what mainstream cinema was meant to be, and this is what great filmmakers like Raj Kapoor, Bimal Roy, Guru Dutt, K A Abbas, B R Chopra, Yash Chopra, and so many used to do. We forgot to make mainstream films of social relevance. They got relegated to independent art house cinema. This is what Tamizh cinema and so much of cinema from south still does.'
