You know a fragrance brand is iconic when customers don't just like it — they fall obsessively in love with it. And few brands have that effect quite like Maison Louis Marie.
As one of the most sought-after clean perfume brands in Australia, it's no surprise that Loyal Crush shoppers have developed strong favourites. We dug through our reviews, purchase history, and scent-loving community feedback to bring you the top 5 Maison Louis Marie scents, ranked by real customers.
If there's a Maison scent that defines the brand, it's this one. No.04 Bois de Balincourt is often dubbed the 'clean dupe' for Le Labo's Santal 33 — but many customers say they prefer it. Top: Sandalwood, cedarwood
Middle: Vetiver, nutmeg, cinnamon
Base: Amber wood 'People stop me in the street to ask what I'm wearing.'
'It's warm, inviting, and never overpowering.'
'Perfect balance between earthy and elegant.'
This fragrance is creamy, grounding, and wears like a second skin. It's also endlessly layerable — try pairing it with Antidris Cassis for a sandalwood-meets-fruit combo.
Fresh, green, and softly woody, No.09 is the kind of fragrance that feels clean without being 'soapy.' It's ideal for warm weather or everyday wear. Top: Grapefruit, orange, black pepper
Middle: Cedarwood, patchouli, geranium
Base: Amber, musk, benzoin 'Smells like a rainforest spa.'
'Subtle, fresh, and modern.'
'My everyday go-to — never gets old.'
Vallée de Farney is especially loved by people who want a light but sophisticated signature scent. It's gender-neutral and makes a fantastic gift.
This is the standout fruity-floral of the range, combining juicy berries with soft musk and rose. Top: Cassis, bergamot, black pepper
Middle: White rose
Base: Musk, tonka, oakmoss 'Bright and juicy — like summer in a bottle.'
'Smells expensive and feminine.'
'Lasts longer than I expected from a clean scent.'
Pair it with No.04 Bois de Balincourt to create a rich contrast of wood and fruit.
No.02 is deep, woody, and herbaceous — great for meditation, colder months, or anyone who loves more 'grounded' scents. Top: Hinoki wood
Middle: Cedarwood
Base: Patchouli 'Reminds me of forest walks in the Blue Mountains.'
'Unique and non-perfumey in the best way.'
'Perfect scent for quiet confidence.'
No.02 is an underrated gem — especially for minimalists or those who don't usually like perfume. It wears close to the skin and feels deeply calming.
Citrusy, soft, and a little powdery, No.12 Bousval is perfect for spring. It's light, uplifting, and a refreshing break from overly musky or floral perfumes. Top: Bergamot, lemon
Middle: Green leaves, peony
Base: White musk, cedar 'Bright, elegant, and effortless.'
'Reminds me of holidays in the south of France.'
'A perfect morning scent.'

Q&A with Adam Sandler, Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald from 'Happy Gilmore 2'

'Happy Gilmore 2' is streaming live on Netflix today, July 25, and the anticipation for the sequel has been at a fever pitch, ever since the Adam Sandler project was announced. In the sequel, co-written by Sandler, Happy has left golf behind after a tragic accident years ago. When he needs to raise $300,000 to send his daughter Vienna (Sunny Sandler) to a prestigious ballet school in Paris, Happy hits the links again, where he runs into old pal Shooter (and his celebratory finger guns). Happy also has to save traditional golf when an energy drink mogul (Benny Safdie) tries to popularize a more extreme version of the sport. Our friends at USA Today caught up with the trio in advance of the release and asked a few questions of stars Adam Sandler (Gilmore), Julie Bowen (Virginia Venit) and Christopher McDonald (Shooter McGavin). Q: Adam, it takes Happy a few holes to get his signature swing back. How about you in real life? Sandler: I didn't practice at all before the movie. I don't know why. And then I was like, "Oh, yeah, how's this go again?" And then it came back pretty quick. The beauty of the movie is you can swing and miss and then they say, "OK, let's do another take." We got a few chances to get it right. Julie and Chris, this movie is packed with cameos. Who were your favorites to see walk on set? Sandler: None of them would talk to Julie. Bowen: Also, my trailer was a mile away from set. McDonald: By design. Bowen: The call sheet was coded. It did not have anybody's names on it and there were 135 different cast members. I was flying back and forth because I still have kids in school in California and we shot in New Jersey. I would see Polaroids in the hair and makeup trailer and I saw a person that no one's mentioned yet. And I'm like, "When was he here?!" "He's Newscaster No. 4." And I'm like, "Are you kidding me?" More: This breakdown of Happy Gilmore's incredible golf swing is something to behold Sandler: Bubba Watson. You loved your Bubba. Julie knows her golf, by the way. McDonald: He's a good man, Bubba Watson. I have known a few of these golf legends and legends-in-training. But seeing them one-on-one, it's like: "Oh, my God, that's Rory McIlroy. That's Bryson DeChambeau. That's Scottie Scheffler." It was mind-blowing for me. And I came in on my days off just to hang out with them. Sandler: They all love seeing Shooter. Adam, both your daughters and wife are in the sequel. What does it mean to you to have these kinds of movies that you used to make with your friends now become part of this bigger family legacy? Sandler: It is just all happening fast. Kids are growing up − they really are into acting and movies, and it's always been our thing to work with our friends and family. It's cool to see them getting better. They work hard and they go to school for it, and they love it. So, yeah, I'm just proud. Couldn't love them more. Was there anything from the first movie that you all used in the new movie? Bowen: I got my hair back. Was that your OG jersey? Sandler: I got a different size (laughs). The hockey jersey went from a medium to a something. There were a couple Xs in there. The real grandpa's clubs (from the first film) are in the movie. Bowen: Finger guns? McDonald: I brought the kids out. Chris, how many times in a week do people do the finger guns to you? McDonald: Well, it depends on where I am. Airports, 4,000. Walking the city streets of New York, 9,000. It seems like it's every day when I'm out in public. It's really cool. People are kind enough just to go, "Shootah!" and we have a good laugh. The fans are what keeps this classic going. So I have no problems at all pulling out the guns when necessary.

CW Sports Goes Bananas With NASCAR And Baseball Crossover

KANSAS CITY, KS - MAY 06: Split, the mascot of the Savannah Bananas dances before the start of a ... More banana ball game against the the Kansas City Monarchs at Legends Field on Friday, May 6, 2022 in Kansas City, KS. (Kent Nishimura / Los Angeles Times via Getty Images) While most of the attention in NASCAR broadcasting this season has gone to the Cup Series—with all eyes on Amazon Prime's flashy debut—a different kind of network has quietly been using the NASCAR Xfinity Series to rewrite the rules of sports television. And frankly, it's doing it with a lot more guts, and just the right amount of bananas. Enter The CW. Yes, that CW—the one that grew out of the smoldering remains of the WB and UPN in 2006. For years, it was a haven for capes, teenage angst, and endless spin-offs from the DC Comics multiverse. The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow—they all had a home there. It wasn't exactly a profitable few years for the network, so The CW's new owners at Nexstar decided it was time to chart a new course. Gone were superheroes and teenage dramas. They were replaced by unscripted programs, game shows, and—perhaps most surprisingly—a full-on charge into the world of live sports. But not just any sports. The CW Sports didn't pick up NFL rights or chase March Madness. No, they went rogue, became a disruptor of sorts. They signed deals with LIV Golf. Then WWE's NXT. Then the AVP (beach volleyball), the PBA (bowling), and most recently, professional bull riding. If there's a sport too wild, weird, or off-brand for the legacy networks, chances are The CW is giving it a primetime slot. Signing NASCAR's Xfinity series last year made perfect sense for the network. It was a smart move. The Xfinity Series audience is loyal and deeply engaged—just the kind of fanbase a network with big sports ambitions could rally around. A Savannah Bananas and CW-themed No. 99 Chevrolet, driven by Matt DiBenedetto, will be on-track ... More during the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 26. But then came a twist a few months after the deal was announced. Originally set to begin broadcasting NASCAR Xfinity Series races starting in 2025, The CW didn't wait. They jumped the green flag, taking over race coverage in September 2024. Next up on The CW? Baseball. But not the kind of baseball that gently hums Take Me Out to the Ballgame. This is Banana Ball—the high-octane, choreographed, TikTok-dominating, foul-ball-caught-by-a-fan-is-an-out baseball circus that's selling out stadiums and redefining what a 'game' actually is. Think Harlem Globetrotters meet Jackass, played in cleats. And NASCAR fans will be getting a glimpse of it Saturday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The CW and the Savannah Bananas have partnered with Viking Motorsports to bring the spirit of Banana Ball to the track. The No. 99 Chevrolet, driven by Matt DiBenedetto, will carry a full Savannah Bananas and CW-themed livery in Saturday's NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway—a high-speed billboard for the team's live broadcast debut the very next day. Since their inception in 2016 the Savannah Bananas have turned baseball on its head. With choreographed dances, celebratory antics, flaming bats (yes, literal flaming bats), and a firm commitment to entertaining the crowd first and worrying about the score later, the Bananas have become a cultural phenomenon. With over 9.8 million followers on TikTok, they've surpassed every team in MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL, and yes even NASCAR, in social reach. And every game at their home field, Savannah's historic Grayson Stadium, has sold out since day one. Just the kind of chaos The CW seems built for. "These guys are fun, and we consider ourselves that way," said Mike Perman, Senior Vice President of CW Sports. 'We're trying to grow the network from a sports perspective and reach younger demos. We just felt like this would align—it would be something fun.' Perman said the Bananas were a perfect match for a network with a strategy built around bold, unconventional moves. 'We had heard ESPN was about to do a deal, and we figured if they're looking, we should move fast. Our president Brad Schwartz has always leaned into creative risks, and Banana Ball just fits that mold.' WASHINGTON, DC - JULY 13, 2024: The Savannah Bananas perform after a game against the Firefighters ... More at Nationals Park on July 13, 2024 in Washington, DC. (Photo by Chris Bernacchi/Diamond Images via Getty Images) And it's more than just a gimmick. Perman emphasized that, while the Bananas bring energy and antics, it's still competitive sport. 'The players are really good athletes. The games still matter. The rules may be different, but they still have to perform. It's not just a show—it's competition with a twist.' Perman also confirmed that this isn't just a one-off. 'We've done cross-promotions before with WWE talent at NASCAR races, and we're doing the same here. Matt DiBenedetto will throw out the ceremonial first banana at the game in Philly on Sunday. We even turned our logo yellow this week—we're calling it Banana Palooza.' Sunday, the Bananas make their broadcast television debut live from Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. A sold-out crowd of more than 40,000 will be on hand as the Bananas take on the Texas Tailgaters. DiBenedetto, fresh off Saturday's race, will trade his firesuit for a jersey and throw out the ceremonial first pitch—connecting the dots between motorsport mayhem and baseball bedlam. What began as a midseason NASCAR promotion might just be the blueprint for how The CW plans to tie its sports properties together and continue being the disruptor. One flaming bat, one painted racecar, and one national broadcast at a time.

Ciara making her presence felt as Russell Wilson opens Giants training camp

The Wilsons looked good rocking blue while at the first day of Giants training camp on Wednesday. The Giants posted photos of their new quarterback, Russell Wilson, with his wife Ciara and their daughters Sienna, 8, and Amora, 1, and son Win, 5 — and Future Jr, 11, the singer's son from her previous relationship with rapper, Future. Ciara and her kids sported Wilson's No. 3 Giants jersey in blue, while the Super Bowl champ rocked red. Another video, which was shared by the Giants, showed Future Jr. and Win running to Wilson on the practice field and hugging him. Wilson can be heard commemorating Win's fifth birthday, which was also on Wednesday. During his media availability on Wednesday, Wilson spoke highly of the Giants culture and fanbase, adding that being in New York is also great for Ciara's singing career. 'I've been in New York a bunch in the past, I have a lot of family that have been here and lived here and stuff like that, but we love it here. It's just a great city. New York is amazing, Jersey as well,' said Wilson, who signed a one-year deal with the Giants in March after one season with the Steelers. 'I think what I love is the fans, the sports culture. Obviously for Ciara, the music culture is great too, and I think that's great. But I think just for me, I've always been a fast-paced guy. I don't know if everybody knows me really well. I'm constantly just highly focused. I was always taking 18 credits in college, playing football, baseball. I just like being occupied. 5 Giants quarterback Russell Wilson with wife Ciara and their kids during the first day of training camp on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. I get to do what I love to do and these guys love doing it together and we're spending a lot of time together. 'So, these moments, like this training camp, is the part where you love those bonding [moments] at the hotel, the bonding early in the mornings, the late at night, the extra film, that time that you spend together talking ball. I mean that's the part that you forever remember.' 5 Russell Wilson and his wife, Ciara, arrive at the ESPY Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
