As Austria revels in their Eurovision Song Contest victory, the UK's Remember Monday remain upbeat despite receiving zero points from the public vote. The girl band graced the stage at St Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland, alongside 25 other acts, vying for the coveted trophy in its 69th year.
Singers Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele seemed to be on a promising trajectory when they garnered 88 points from the jury votes for their song 'What The Hell Just Happened'. However, their aspirations were dashed when they failed to secure a single point from the public vote, resulting in an overall 19th place out of a possible 26.

Yet fans praised their "perfect response" to the 'nul points' outcome, as they were spotted brushing off the disappointment with a smile and savouring the experience. The trio could be seen laughing, raising their hands, and standing up, while the hall burst into applause.

One supporter shared the moment on X, writing: "Well done girls. The perfect response."
Another showed their support, stating: "I am sorry but that is actually criminal. Outrageous. I'm so upset for Remember Monday but that is Eurovision. Ahhhh well. We had a lovely time and the girls were phenomenal."

And especially to you Europe, thank you for making my dreams come true.Viewers took to social media to share their thoughts, with one saying on X: "Thank f**k for that!
Well done Austria. " Another echoed: "Phew, well done Austria. "However, many Brits still consider Remember Monday to be their winners, with one stating: "Oh girls. You smashed it. That was stunning and your joy on stage was infectious. So loved it. You're our winners. "
In agreement, another said: "Didn't they. Loved it. Defo best so far. Could be biased. "A final user lamented: "Our girls were robbed. Crazy public voting. Zero points for us and Switzerland. Two of the best songs.".

BBC's witch-hunt against talent is getting ever more extreme – John Torode doesn't deserve to go down like Gregg Wallace

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) GREGG Wallace had pledged in his damning statement there would be 'more casualties' from the BBC's hapless handling of the investigation into him. If the BBC has its way then John Torode will be the next. In its desperate efforts to save its mighty cash cow, MasterChef, from cancellation, the BBC seems hellbent on cancelling its own. Gregg's behaviour, by his own admission, was unacceptable. But poor John is now being hauled down with him. His mistake? Telling a story, that he cannot remember telling, in a bar seven or eight years ago, and using an offensive term. As soon as he was informed the term was racist, he immediately apologised. No complaint was made. Nobody actually knows when it happened. Or if it happened. Certainly John doesn't believe it happened. Now, so desperate to clean up its house, or indeed kitchen, is Auntie, that she is asking John to jump before he is pushed. 'We'll never work with him again', blast BBC as Gregg Wallace report reveals 'substantial' allegations over 19 YEARS Incredibly, they suggested he fabricate a mental health crisis, and walk. How, in this day and age, was this allowed to happen? Quite rightly, John refused. Putting matters of ethics to one side, the BBC's witch-hunt against its talent is becoming ever more extreme. To be clear, Gregg should have gone — but if this isolated incident is his only offence, John does not deserve to go down too. At this rate, there will be no-one left to present its shows.

The rapper claims the messages were sexual harassment, but also said that she sent the boxer nude pictures as well in a sexting-back and-forth since 2016. One image posted by Azelia seemingly shows McGregor's manhood strapped to a dumbbell, captioned "lifting weights". She wrote: "How you gonna send a b**** a some crooked d*** pics then threaten her not to tell. "'Like how are you really going to sexually harrass me with the potato farmer d*** then threaten me not to tell????" The screenshots also show a message from what appears to be McGregor's account reading: "Don't be a rat cos all rats get caught". In a later post, Azealia claimed she had sent McGregor naked pictures as well. In a follow-up post, Azealia wrote: "No me and Conor McGregor have been sending each other unsolicited nudes since 2016. LOL "I have never met the leprechaun but today is his birthday and he wants everyone to make a wish and blow out the candle." The Sun has approached representatives of McGregor for comment. It comes after he was caught kissing a mystery bikini-clad woman on holiday in Florida. Yesterday, The Sun reported that the former two-division UFC champion - who hasn't fought in nearly four years - cozied up with a dark-haired woman. He then laid down a towel for the woman and wrapped an arm around her shoulders in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Earlier today his fiancee Dee Devlin expressed her continued support for her controversial partner. She posted photos of the pair looking overjoyed as they celebrated McGregor's birthday. They pair have dated since 2008, and became engaged in 2020. They have four children together. Last year the MMA star was found liable in a civil case that accused him of sexually assaulting a woman in a hotel room in December 2018. It was alleged that he had choked the claimant, leading to her fearing for her life. He disputes the charges, arguing that they had consensual sex. A second woman accused him of sexual assault following a 2023 incident at an NBA Finals game in Miami. He has faced no criminal charges for this second case. Last month McGregor was captured punching a man to the floor during an Ibiza club night.

Despite what many called a stellar performance, many fans were left disappointed as they were led to believe they'd be getting two Drake sets - one at 18:25 and one at 20:55. But the first mysteriously vanished from the schedule mid afternoon. Festivalgoers were left even more confused when his set finished after just 40 minutes due to London's strict 9:30pm curfew. He told the crowd: "London, I will love you for the rest of my life", as he rushed through his set. Writing on Instagram after the show, Drake said he didn't know what had happened but thanked festivalgoers for their support. In a post he said: "Thank you London. Need some time to process what just happened so I don't have my usual caption…just thank you so much for the best 3 nights of my performance career."
