Rico Bogen hoping momentum can lead to back-to-back T100 victories
Bogen claimed his maiden T100 victory with a dominant performance in San Francisco in May, lifting him to the top of the overall standings after two races.
The German now hopes that having earned a first race win, he can repeat the feat on a new course for all athletes in Canada just two weeks after the San Francisco leg.
'I have the momentum on my side but it's a new day and a strong field,' he said. 'Let's see how the others are in the race and if I can perform like I did in San Francisco.
'It's hard to do it back-to-back, and it's such a strong field. I am in a good mood and want to have fun out there.
'It gave me confidence, now I know I can win a race like the T100 with such a strong field. You are always a little bit nervous for the race, but this gave me confidence that with a good training block I can beat everybody.
'It would be very cool to win back-to-back races, and it would be very good for the overall series.'

The T100 arrives in Vancouver for the third stop of a world tour that will culminate in a final in Qatar in December.
Bogen finished 10th on the first stop in Singapore before rocketing up the rankings with victory in San Francisco, but knows another good result is required in Vancouver ahead of the tour's European legs in France and the UK.
The race in Vancouver is the first time the T100 has taken place in the Canadian city, and Bogen hopes his time reconnecting with nature can help him to another strong result.
'The course is very similar to San Francisco so we didn't change too much in training,' he said. We came straight from San Francisco, it's important to be able to fully reset and train.
'It's my first time here in Canada. Last week I travelled in a camper with my parents. We visited a bit of nature, it's beautiful. I love nature and I love a little bit more silence
'It's such a cool city. It's perfect conditions for triathlon. The bike course looks cool, a bit of technical stuff and a bit of hills.'

Hibs hero Liam Fontaine reveals David Gray memento he takes everywhere
Gray was the matchwinner on Hibs' last trip to Denmark nine years ago and while that ultimately ended in agony, Fontaine insists his old mate will firmly believe his side can shock Midtjylland this time round. Liam Fontaine still has a picture of David Gray 's goal from Hibs' last European trip to Denmark saved on his phone. He reckons it sums up everything his old Easter Road team mate and room mate stood for while wearing the captain's armband. Namely belief, desire and bravery. Gray's strike in a 1-0 Europa League qualifying win against Brondby in July 2016 came just two months after his famous Scottish Cup Final winner against Rangers which teed Neil Lennon's side up for that Europa League qualifier. It ultimately ended in a heartbreaking penalty shoot out defeat against the Christian Norgaard and Teemu Pukki inspired Danes. But nine years on Gray is preparing to take Hibs back to the land of fairytales for a qualifier against Midtjylland in the same competition. And, despite being underdogs again, Fontaine reckons Hibs can look forward to a happy ever after with his old defensive colleague at the helm. The 2016 Scottish Cup hero said: 'They've got to believe they can win. And with Dave that's something you always get - belief. 'One of my favourite pictures is actually from that game against Brondby, celebrating the goal with Dave. I still keep it in my phone. 'It wasn't long after his winner in the Scottish Cup Final. I don't think he actually scored a goal until he went to Hibs! 'He was going through a phase of stepping up at the big moments. That was him, he was always driven to succeed. "We were room mates. We shared on that trip to face Brondby too. I don't think many people gave us a chance going over there 1-0 down from the first leg. 'We went over as underdogs, they were a well-known club with a good history and had players like Pukki and Norgaard. They probably believed we would be a walkover. But that was never the case. 'Our squad was more than capable of competing and we showed that in the second leg. We had a team of winners and a team of people with drive and real raw ability no more so than Dave. 'We won the game 1-0 and it went to the lottery of penalties. In the end the result wasn't what we wanted. It was a disappointed dressing room. 'But I remember it being a really good occasion. The Hibs fans were brilliant. They travelled in their numbers and the atmosphere was incredible. 'I'm sure it'll be the same next Thursday.' Cocky Midtjylland boss Thomas Thomasberg has riled Hibees with his confident boasts ahead of the first leg in the MCH Arena on Thursday. But Fontaine - who won the Scottish Cup and Championship title during his spell in Leith - reckons Gray won't be paying the slightest bit of attention to what his opposite number is saying. He said: 'I knew what Dave would bring as a manager. I know the levels he demands. He's got a wide knowledge of football, with obviously his own personal career and his upbringing through football. 'Honestly, Dave is Dave. What you see is what he is. He's very humble. He doesn't really want any plaudits. 'He always conducts himself in a professional manner, no matter what. 'He's not afraid to shy away from if he gets it wrong. He's not afraid to speak up when he needs to speak up. 'That's exactly what he was as a player. Very honest, very determined. But no fear. He was up for every challenge. 'So I know Dave will send the team out over there and they'll have no fear. They'll just go for it. Hibs have got match winners in their team. 'They've got some high-quality players that are definitely going to create chances. If you've got that ability to score goals, then the challenge is going to be just matching the level of sharpness and fitness this early in the season. 'It's their first competitive game so maybe being out of rhythm with how they were towards the end of last season, you've got to try and just get into that rhythm really, really quickly and put the stamp on the game. 'It'll be interesting to watch and see.'

Just one more thing to concentrate Russell Martin 's mind as he contemplates the arrival of Panathinaikos on Tuesday night for the first leg of their qualifying tie. Beware Greeks bearing gifts you don't want. Like elimination. It's turbo charge or depth charge for the new head coach. The first one increases his team's power output in the event of an aggregate victory and instantly enhances Martin's reputation, even in the minds of the terminally sceptical. The second one detonates and destroys all of Russell's early work and requires the mounting of a salvage operation minus the riches from Europe's biggest club competition to pay for it. How about that lot for day one on the job? There is nothing about Martin's professional or private life to suggest vulnerability in the face of adversity. He confronted, and survived, the domestic difficulties of his childhood with a show of formidable fortitude. And he subsequently carved out a career in the game that was inspirational considering all that he had to overcome in order to make it at club and international level. All of which qualifies Martin as a fascinating case study . Now, though, comes the first practical examination of his suitability for what lies ahead at Rangers. The scale of what he is taking on in 48 hours' time is arguably an unfair burden to bear for the new head coach. I can't recall anyone in Russell's position at Ibrox – and I can go back to dealing with Willie Waddell in 1970 – ever having had to negotiate an occasion of this magnitude before he had even handled a domestic league match. A European tie with a multi-million pound side stake and one that threatens to carry with it profound ramifications in the event of failing to win over two legs. Martin has constructed a team in his own image in a remarkably short space of time. Now his judgment of a player comes under scrutiny. He also formulated a pre-season fixture schedule that has already brought criticism from fans who feel the team is undercooked for a match of Tuesday night's importance. That formula will be used in evidence against him if anything goes wrong at Ibrox in midweek. There was the suggestion of an authoritarian streak when Martin revealed an unspecified breach of rules at Rangers ' training facility at St George's Park last week. A misstep that made him run his players into submission, even though it was the day before a friendly match. Asserting your authority has to come with delivering positive results that justify the methodology. 'Respect, clarity and honesty, always,' he said afterwards. One man being his own man is the way it has to be when the buck stops with you, I suppose. And the buck has certainly been passed to Martin with knobs on.

Palace have tried to dampen transfer speculation by placing a £65m valuation on the England international. But BBC Sport reporter Sami Mokbel thinks they will ultimately do business for less. Speaking to The Redmen TV, Mokbel explained: 'That interest is ongoing. My understanding at the moment is that there isn't anything club-to-club yet. I expect that to happen in some form or another in the not-too-distant future. It's down to the clubs reaching an agreement.
