Spinnaker Support Delivers Global Double-Digit Growth Fueled by Enterprise Scrutiny of Traditional Vendor Relationships
-Spinnaker adds global enterprises to growing client roster including BT, Telefónica Germany and more-
-SAP, Oracle and VMware vendor support divisions deliver continued growth as enterprises trust Spinnaker to maintain core IT infrastructure-
DENVER, June 04, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Spinnaker Support (Spinnaker), the third-party software support leader entrusted by 1,000+ global clients, today announced that the growing market for reliable, trustworthy and strategic global third-party support has fueled double-digit growth across its business. Spinnaker's support for enterprise SAP, Oracle and VMware deployments is giving the C-suite valuable breathing room, by avoiding costly vendor lock-in, to make digital transformation decisions to their own timescales, while also securely maintaining legacy systems.
Notable recent client wins include BT (Oracle), Telefónica Germany (Oracle/VMware), Madrileña Gas (SAP), Specsavers (Oracle), and Bombardier Recreational Products (SAP). Spinnaker's key verticals include manufacturing, utilities, telecommunications, financial services, and banking.
Spinnaker's Oracle support reaches new heights
Spinnaker's Oracle support continues to grow globally. In March 2025, Spinnaker announced it will be providing support for major telco BT Group's on-premise Oracle applications in use across the Group's technology estate. The engagement spans a wide range of critical Oracle applications and sees Spinnaker providing escalated support on key databases and applications within BT Group.
In addition, Spinnaker has also signed Specsavers and Telefónica Germany for multi-year support contracts.
Alternative option for SAP customers being pushed towards RISE
On the SAP side of its business, Spinnaker provides organizations with an alternative support option as SAP continues to push customers towards RISE.
In February 2025, Spinnaker announced that BRP, a global leader in the world of powersports products, propulsion systems and boats, has selected Spinnaker to provide third-party software support across its SAP applications and technologies. The five-year deal with Spinnaker gives BRP dedicated third-party software support to ensure that SAP Applications and Tech with Global Tax & Regulatory Compliance are maintained across the company's operations in 22 countries.
In EMEA, Madrileña Red de Gas, one of Spain's key utility companies, has freed up investment for innovation projects across the organization by outsourcing its entire SAP maintenance support to Spinnaker. With a desire to maintain its current SAP environment but with SAP maintenance costs rising.
The last 12 months has also seen Spinnaker expand its service offering in a number of ways:
Spinnaker launched its VMware support offering after listening to customer concerns following Broadcom's VMware acquisition
In July 2024, Spinnaker launched its VMware support option, in response to market demand for innovative, up-to-date and flexible support offerings. Interest remains high as VMware customers reject being forced to switch from a perpetual license model to a costly subscription alternative. Advantages of switching to Spinnaker's VMware offering include the avoidance of forced subscription models, maintaining security and compliance requirements.
In less than 12 months, Spinnaker's new VMware division has contracted multiple new customers including Telefónica Germany, Quebec Airport and Specsavers.
Spinnaker Cloud Managed Services launched: empowering organizations to modernize on their own terms
In March 2025, Spinnaker launched Spinnaker Cloud Managed Services - a new offering that allows an organization to actualize its cloud strategy without having to move away from the legacy system(s) their business is built upon. Spinnaker Cloud Managed Services supports Oracle and SAP, environments across both legacy and cloud platforms, delivering a high-touch service with expert management.
Partnerships: Channel vendors embrace Spinnaker's offering
As Oracle, SAP and VMware customers are being unwillingly pushed to the cloud and/or subscriptions, many large consultancy, global software and licensing companies are including Spinnaker Third-Party Software Support to enhance their offerings. Spinnaker's services add a unique extra dimension to our partners' offerings, strengthening their competitive advantage which, in turn, enables their customers to take control of their digital future.
Security: As security and audit compliance continue to lead to CIO concerns, Spinnaker Shield's holistic approach ensures stability.
As the digital world is increasingly under attack from cyber threats, this is causing companies to close ranks and keep their data on-premise, or at the very least hosted in their home country. This is at odds with the major software vendors driving applications onto their cloud platforms. Spinnaker can keep its customers' data secure and optimized on-site and avoid risky migrations and unknown threats.
Matt Stava, CEO of Spinnaker Support said: "The market for third-party software support is growing fast and so is Spinnaker Support. We have seen global brands make the jump and entrust Spinnaker Support with their on-going software support needs. Our personal, consultative and experienced global experts give enterprises the ability and time to move at their own pace, not that of the software vendors support offerings, while realizing significant cost benefits as they decide on their future digital strategies."
Spinnaker offers 'The Ultimate Support Guarantee', an industry-first agreement designed to mitigate any perceived risks associated with switching away from Oracle, SAP or VMware support.

PNC embeds commercial finance platform in Oracle Fusion ERP
This story was originally published on CIO Dive. To receive daily news and insights, subscribe to our free daily CIO Dive newsletter. Dive Brief: PNC Bank integrated its Pinacle Connect treasury management platform with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP. The integration is available to PNC corporate and commercial banking clients via the Oracle B2B marketplace in the technology provider's cloud-based ERP, PNC said in the announcement. The platform, launched by PNC Treasury Management in 2021, is designed to ease payment, reconciliation and balance retrieval functions and automate financial management processes, PNC said. The integration joins embedded offerings from HSBC, JPMorgan and Mastercard in the ERP marketplace, which Oracle rolled out in 2022. 'By embedding our services within Oracle Cloud ERP, our clients can more effectively manage their cash position and spend more time running their businesses, while spending less time establishing bank connectivity and handling manual financial tasks,' Howard Forman, EVP and head of PNC's Commercial Digital Channels, said in the release. Dive Insight: ERP systems sit at the heart of the enterprise, circulating critical financial and operational data across an organization's core business functions. Cloud adoption helped expand ERP capabilities and efforts to wrest value from generative AI tools have now intensified the focus on enterprise data. Oracle's growing cloud ambitions are built on integrating data systems and activating AI. The company is investing billions to expand its cloud capacity and forging key alliances throughout the enterprise technology ecosystem, including a recent pact with OpenAI to massively expand AI compute capacity. In the last two years, Oracle inked deals that have put its database servers inside AWS, Microsoft and Google cloud facilities. 'Our database is now moving very rapidly to the cloud because … the database has all these AI capabilities, but also, quite frankly, now people can get it in whatever cloud they want,' Oracle CTO Larry Ellison said last month during the company's Q4 2025 earnings call. PNC is the latest financial institution to tighten its link to Oracle's software business. JPMorgan was on board for the launch of B2B three years ago, tying its banking, travel card and expense services into Oracle Fusion ERP. The firm added its trade and working capital finance platforms to the package last year. Oracle further extended its reach into finance earlier this year through a multiyear cloud modernization pact with Lloyds Banking Group. The deal includes Oracle database deployments in Microsoft Azure data centers. 'Few sectors are evolving as rapidly as the financial services industry when it comes to cloud adoption,' Richard Smith, EVP and general manager, EMEA Cloud Infrastructure at Oracle, said in the announcement. As AI adoption moved into the agentic automation stage earlier this year, Oracle installed an AI production suite in its cloud ERP. The company brought additional agent customization tools on line in April as a separately priced Oracle Fusion offering. The Fusion ERP suite currently has more than 10,000 customers, according to Oracle. Trump administration rolls out new Social Security hurdles, then makes them optional
The Trump administration quietly rushed through a major change to Social Security's phone service policy, but after advocates for the elderly expressed concerns, the agency that oversees the program now says the change is "optional." Why it matters: The policy would have forced millions more Americans to travel to the agency's already understaffed field offices to do routine things like change their address, obtain a tax form or generate a benefit verification letter. That would be a big obstacle, particularly for seniors, people struggling with mobility issues or those in rural areas who live far from a field office. The Social Security Administration's own filing says 3.4 million more people would be forced to go to the field offices, which are already understaffed, and hard to get to for many Americans. How it works: For decades, Social Security beneficiaries could phone the agency to do routine tasks. Under the policy, described in the filing to the Office of Management and Budget, beneficiaries would first have to go online to get a one-time "Security Authentication PIN," or SAP. This was set to begin Aug. 18. The intrigue: Earlier this week, AARP, the powerful advocacy group for older Americans, and other advocates for the elderly and disabled drew attention to the change. Now, the agency says that use of the SAP PIN is optional, and was always meant to be optional. "The intention of the expanded SAP feature in the filing was always to be optional," an agency spokesperson tells Axios in an email. "The purpose of the feature is to improve the customer experience by providing a convenient and secure method for callers to verify their identity." "If a caller does not have a 'my Social Security account' or chooses not to use the SAP feature, the customer experience will be no different than it is today, and they will continue to use the existing authentication methods to verify their identity," they said. Yes, but: The filing detailing the new policy has not yet been updated or changed. The big picture: This latest dustup comes months after the agency backed off a similar plan after widespread outcry. It's part of the Trump administration's effort to combat fraud — ongoing even as Elon Musk's DOGE efforts have receded into the background. The agency instituted the policy without any announcement — a departure from how it has operated under prior administrations — and critics say that it hasn't provided substantial evidence for the fraud it's trying to combat. Between the lines: In the past, including in the first Trump administration, a big policy change would be carefully tested and messaged to the public in blogs, the website and press releases. The agency would typically reach out to stakeholders, like AARP, advocates for the poor and disabled and other lawyers who work with Americans on their benefit claims. What to watch: The agency says it will amend its filing to make it clear that this policy is optional. Advocates are keeping an eye out for that.

1 Supercharged Artificial Intelligence (AI) Stock to Buy Before It Soars to $1 Trillion by 2028, According to Wall Street
Key Points Oracle's cloud, database, and enterprise software products are in use at 98% of the Fortune 500 companies. Many of its customers are rapidly adopting generative AI, which is helping drive the company's robust growth. There's a clear path to $1 trillion within three years thanks to Oracle's fundamental position in the IT ecosystem. 10 stocks we like better than Oracle › The impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the technology landscape has been incontrovertible over the past few years, but the transformation is ongoing. Indeed, a review of the world's most valuable companies by market cap offers up compelling insight: Eight of the top 10 companies boast membership in the $1 trillion club, and they all have unmistakable ties to AI. Some of the most important players in the semiconductor and information technology (IT) spaces have taken up residence on the list. For example, Nvidia pioneered the graphics processing units (GPUs) that power the technology, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing produces roughly 90% of the world's most advanced semiconductors, and Broadcom is a critical part of the AI ecosystem, with 99% of all internet traffic passing through its equipment. With a market cap of $705 billion, it seems like it's only a matter of time before Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) secures its membership in this elite fraternity. The company's growth is accelerating, and management's long-term outlook provides compelling evidence that AI will fuel robust growth for years to come. A trusted technology partner Oracle notes that roughly 98% of Global Fortune 500 companies are among its customers, using a combination of its database, cloud, and enterprise software products and services. This gives Oracle a captive audience for its expanding suite of AI and cloud solutions. This has helped propel the company's recent growth spurt. During Oracle's fiscal 2025 fourth quarter (ended May 31), revenue grew 11% year over year to $15.9 billion, while adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.70 grew 4%. Both numbers easily surpassed Wall Street's consensus estimates, which called for revenue of $15.6 billion and adjusted EPS of $1.64. CEO Safra Catz noted that the company had reached a "tipping point," with revenue growth accelerating, "and it's only going up from here." She also said she expects cloud revenue for the coming year to accelerate to 40% in fiscal 2026, up from 24%, and far outpace the growth of its larger cloud rivals. This is driving the expansion of the company's remaining performance obligation (RPO) -- or contractual obligations not yet included in revenue -- which surged 41% year over year to $138 billion. The fact that RPO is growing faster than revenue provides a glimpse into the future. Perhaps even more telling is Catz's statement that "RPO is likely to grow more than 100% in fiscal year 2026." At the same time, Oracle expects its revenue to top $67 billion next fiscal year, which would represent 16% growth in constant currency. The clear path to $1 trillion Oracle has a sterling reputation for helping its clients pick the appropriate cloud and AI solutions for their needs. This puts the company in the pole position to benefit from the growing adoption of generative AI. Given the sheer magnitude of the opportunity, this transition will take years, if not decades, to unfold. According to Wall Street, Oracle is expected to generate revenue of $66.8 billion in its fiscal 2026 (which began June 1), giving it a forward price-to-sales (P/S) ratio of about 11. Assuming its P/S remains constant, Oracle would need to generate revenue of approximately $95 billion annually to support a $1 trillion market cap. Analysts are forecasting revenue growth of nearly 18% annually over the coming three years. If the company achieves these targets, Oracle could achieve a $1 trillion market cap by 2028. Wall Street's forecast appears to be in lockstep with management's long-term outlook, which is guiding for revenue of at least $104 billion by fiscal 2029. Estimates regarding the market value of generative AI are all over the map, but bear watching. Big Four accounting firm PwC estimates the market could be worth as much as $15.7 trillion annually by 2030, which helps illustrate the magnitude of the opportunity. If Oracle can carve out just a sliver of that windfall by serving up appropriate AI solutions to its customers, its impressive growth will continue, helping Oracle join the fraternity of trillionaires sooner rather than later.
