Stanislav Yanevski, best known for portraying the brooding and skilled Quidditch champion Viktor Krum in 'Harry Potter' and the 'Goblet of Fire,' has opened up about a recent health scare that led to emergency surgery.
The actor, who has mostly stayed away from the spotlight shared the unexpected news with fans via Instagram along with a photo of himself recovering in a hospital bed, his nose bandaged after the procedure.
In a heartfelt message posted on his birthday, Yanevski expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love and wishes he received. But the real surprise came when he revealed the reason behind the hospital snap, that he had been secretly struggling with serious breathing issues that ultimately required surgical intervention.
From birthday wishes to hospital recovery
'Hello lovely ladies and gentlemen,' he began in his post, thanking his fans and friends for making his birthday special. However, the message quickly turned personal as he disclosed, 'The time has finally come to reveal the news.'
According to E! News, the actor experienced worsening breathing problems over recent months and it was something he had chosen to endure privately.
It wasn't until the condition became unmanageable that he was rushed into surgery to correct the issue.
'I had reached a point where I could no longer breathe properly,' he wrote, explaining that he had been silently enduring the discomfort for quite some time. 'Only a few people knew and I'm beyond grateful for their support and especially my family.'
Reclaiming the senses of life
Post-surgery, Yanevski says he's optimistic and healing well.
He shared that the operation has already made a noticeable difference. 'I will finally be able to breathe fully and enjoy all the beautiful scents life has to offer,' he said, highlighting just how deeply the condition had affected his quality of life.
