Zoe Ball set to land new TV role
Now it appears Ball has landed another TV role.
The 54-year-old could be set to star on a new factual series about maths, created by her father Johnny Ball, according The Sun.
The new show would tell the story behind 'the history of maths' and is based on the first six chapters of his book - Wonders Beyond Numbers.
Zoe and Johnny Ball would team up to host the show along with Zoe's son Woody Cook.
Johnny Ball, speaking to The Sun, said: 'The material can be honed down to the essentials, so that anyone could present it in a light and transparent way.
'This is why I believe myself, Zoe and my grandson Woody could add all what each age group requires to make it a fascinating and revealing series.'
A channel for this untitled show is yet to be decided, with Johnny hoping to convince TV bosses to commission the series, admitting having Zoe on board is a 'big pull'.
Zoe and son Woody have appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox before, but this would be the first time three generations of Ball have appeared on air together.

TV star Claire Sweeney speaks out as ex Ricky Hatton makes major announcement

Coronation Street's Claire Sweeney has thrown her support behind her ex-partner Ricky Hatton following his bombshell announcement about a return to boxing. The British boxing icon, who had a romance with the actor over several months last year, is set to make a sensational comeback to the ring after a 13-year hiatus. Hatton, aged 46 and originally from Hyde, is poised to take on Eisa Al Dah in a middleweight clash scheduled for December 2 in Dubai, marking his first professional fight since 2012. Al Dah, also 46, holds the accolade of being the United Arab Emirates' inaugural professional boxer, having started his career back in March 2007 against Larry Foster, reports the Manchester Evening News. Plans for Hatton to jet off to Dubai for the press conference announcing the fight were thwarted after he reportedly suffered an eye injury at the Oasis reunion concert last week in Cardiff; he was advised not to travel until it had fully healed. Despite not attending in person, Hatton joined in via video link, expressing his enthusiasm: "I'm very much looking forward to it myself, to be honest with you. What you're trying to do there for boxing in Dubai is fantastic." Sweeney shared her enthusiasm on her Instagram Story, posting a video of the announcement with the caption: "This is brilliant @rickyhitmahatton." The duo's relationship sparked while both participating in Dancing on Ice earlier in 2024, although their paths had crossed intermittently over the past two decades. Claire, famed for her stint on Channel 4's Brookside, has experienced marriage twice. Her first was with Tony Hibbard, lasting from 2001 until their split in 2007, followed by a union with Daniel Reilly from 2013 to 2015. Ricky, on the other hand, has never tied the knot but was involved in a lengthy 11-year relationship with Jennifer Dooley, spanning from 2005 to 2016. The pair, Claire and Ricky, have been spotted basking in each other's company, having jetted off on multiple breaks together. However, it was confirmed that their relationship drew to a close in December. Addressing the split with MailOnline, Claire shared: "I'm great - we're still friends, we were friends, we dated and now we're friends again. It's all good!". This revelation aligns with what an insider informed the publication, making it clear that they "remain good friends" and that there was no "fallout between them".

'I went to the British GP at Silverstone and cost of car park left me floored'

A woman who attended the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on Sunday (July 6) has taken to social media to hit out at one costly aspect of the Formula 1 event A Formula 1 fan expressed her frustration at one aspect of Sunday's British Grand Prix at Silverstone. British McLaren driver, Landon Norris emerged victorious on a rain-soaked afternoon in Northamptonshire, with teammate Oscar Pistori and Nico Hulkenberg also securing podium finishes. Amid the celebrations at the event - which cost between £70 and £329 for a single-day admission - TikTok user @f1girlGB was left having to fork out another small fortune, simply to park her own car. Sharing a video from the site's public car park, a sign stated that payments should be made prior to leaving, outlines costs for stays on each day from Thursday to Sunday. ‌ Despite the race taking place on Sunday, fans are invited to attend from Thursday to meet team members, visit the track's museum as well as take part in several more race-related events. Friday sees more action including drivers' practices, before Saturday's qualifying ahead of the main event on Sunday. ‌ To be there on all four days appears to cost an arm and a leg – as the TikTok user's video also laid out the costs detailed on the sign. These were: Thursday parking £80; Friday parking £80; Saturday parking £130; and Sunday parking £130. The video of the sign has been viewed a staggering 900,000 times, despite the fan's modest following of just 314. Thousands of those who viewed it vented their ill feelings too. "There's me thinking I couldn't afford the actual tickets when actually I couldn't even afford the parking!", one person quipped in response. A second fumed: "Exactly why I won't go to Silverstone F1, but will go abroad to watch F1." ‌ A third added: "Silverstone is now just a rip off. I don't know how people can afford it, when they have no money to pay bills etc." A fourth TikTok user slammed: "That's actually insane and totally unjustified. Things just die on the vine in this country because of price gouging and corporate greed. In a few years they'll be complaining that the crowds aren't as big any more and they'll wonder why." Whilst a fifth pondered: "Must put a lot of people off, but they still seem to have lots of cars there, so people must be willing to pay those extortionate prices, fair enough. Guess I'll never go to Silverstone." Detailing a slightly more cost-effective alternative, meanwhile, another individual pointed out: "If you book online in advance its £50 a day or £150 for the full weekend." Whilst someone else claimed: "Local schools charged £50 for the weekend, which was about a 30 minute walk and much quicker than queuing out of the car park."

Mel B offers Spice Girls second chance with wedding after Geri Halliwell 'snub'

Mel B is set to celebrate her nuptials with Rory McPhee a second time, giving her Spice Girls bandmates a chance to attend after not being present on her big day. The musician, 50, tied the knot with her hairstylist partner, 37, after six years of dating, but three of her former bandmates were nowhere to be seen at the St Paul's Cathedral ceremony. Emma Bunton looked stylish in a baby pink number for the event, while Victoria Beckham and Melanie Chisholm shared well-wishes online as they could not be in attendance. Geri Halliwell, meanwhile, remains radio silent online, seemingly 'snubbing' Scary Spice and her wedding day. However, the girl group has another chance to get with their friend as she plans a 'more informal and sexy' ceremony abroad. Speaking to The Sun, she teased the glamorous gown she had splashed out on for the occasion. 'In one incredible afternoon, I found two perfect dresses,' she revealed. 'One beautiful classic dress by Josephine Scott, a British designer, and one stunning dramatic dress by a US designer, Justin Alexander'. The couple tied the knot before enjoying a lavish £28,000 reception at The Shard in London. The guest list was truly star-studded, with Katherine Ryan, Alan Carr, Gaby Roslin, Cara Delevingne, and Daisy Lowe all in attendance. Sharing her congratulations with the couple, Victoria, 51, took to Instagram to share a throwback picture of the pair with a touching message. 'Congratulations @officalmelb @rorymcphee on your special day! I couldn't be more excited for you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness! kisses xx,' she said. Meanwhile, Mel C, 51, said she was 'gutted' to miss out on the nuptials. Sharing a snap from the day, she wrote on Insta to the newlyweds: 'So so happy for you both and beyond gutted I couldn't be there. Excited to celebrate with you really soon! Yippee!' More Trending Details on why Geri, 52, opted to skip the wedding are unknown, but it has been reported that their troubled relationship over the years had something to do with it. The former bandmates were once reportedly unable to be in the same room due to animosity between them and their tendency to fight. When appearing on Piers Morgan's Life Stories, Mel made the bombshell confession that she and Geri had an intimate relationship during the band's early days. It's believed Geri was upset by the revelation, for which Mel never apologised. Her husband, Christian Horner, was also reportedly angered by the claims. Got a story?
