Iberdrola, Echelon Form JV to Develop Data Centers in Spain

Bloomberg6 hours ago
Spanish power giant Iberdrola SA is forming a joint venture with Echelon Data Centres to build and operate data centers in Spain, gaining a foothold in the capital-intensive and energy-hungry sector in its home market.
Echelon — backed by US private equity firm Starwood Capital Group LLC — will own 80% of the new company, while Iberdrola's CPD4Green unit will hold the rest, according to an emailed statement Monday. Iberdrola will guarantee a constant supply of electricity to the new facilities and pinpoint land already connected to the power grid where centers can be built. The statement confirmed an earlier Bloomberg report.

When will my Rite Aid store close? List of pharmacy closure dates amid ongoing prescription transfers

If you've relied on your local Rite Aid pharmacy to fill your prescriptions, you should be aware that nearly all Rite Aid pharmacy locations will be closed by next month. So what happens to your prescriptions? Rite Aid will be transferring them to local third-party pharmacies in your area. Here's where you can find out where Rite Aid pharmacy prescriptions will be transferred to and when most of Rite Aid's remaining pharmacies will be closed. Why are Rite Aid's pharmacies closing? Back in May, the struggling Rite Aid pharmacy chain announced that it had filed for bankruptcy and would cease operations. The chain immediately began winding down its business. As Fast Company previously reported, Rite Aid has announced multiple waves of store closures via court documents dating back to early May. As of June 30, Rite Aid had announced the closures of more than 1,000 locations, nearing the 1,277 number of locations the company said it operated when it originally filed for bankruptcy. While some Rite Aid locations have been acquired by competitors, such as 64 by CVS, most Rite Aid locations will be shuttering for good by the time the company's bankruptcy proceedings wind down later this year. Which Rite Aid pharmacies are still open? Rite Aid has already closed a majority of its stores and pharmacies. According to the company's pharmacy closure list, hundreds of pharmacies have already closed for good. The first pharmacies on the list began shutting their doors on June 2, 2025. But as of today's date (July 28, 2025), the list still shows that more than 150 locations are still open (though over a dozen are expected to permanently shut today). The last store on the list, the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 5627-99 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is listed to be closed on Friday, August 8. However, it should be noted that this list is apparently just referencing the actual pharmacies that are operating in the closing store locations. The non-pharmacy parts of the Rite Aid locations may remain open for longer. Fast Company reached out to Rite Aid for more information on when final store closures are expected. We will update this post if we hear back. Where do I pick up my Rite Aid pharmacy prescriptions now? If you have regular recurring prescriptions at a soon-to-close Rite Aid pharmacy, Rite Aid says that it has taken steps to have your prescriptions automatically transferred to a third-party pharmacy in your area. To find out where your prescriptions have been or will be transferred to, you can use Rite Aid's Pharmacy Closure and Transfer List. To use the tool, enter the zip code of the Rite Aid pharmacy that previously held your prescriptions. The list will then filter to reveal Rite Aid locations in that zip code. Look for the location that matches your Rite Aid pharmacy's address. After its address, you'll see a column that says 'Last Day of Pharmacy Business.' The date in that column tells you when that Rite Aid pharmacy is closing. The columns after that date will show you the 'New Pharmacy Name' of where your prescriptions are being transferred to (a local Walgreens, for example) and the new pharmacy's address and phone number. It may be a good idea to call ahead to the new pharmacy to confirm that they have received your prescription transfer before visiting. You may also be able to work with your new pharmacy and/or doctor's office to have your prescriptions sent to a different pharmacy of your choosing.

Can Nvidia Stock Skyrocket Another 370% By 2030? 1 Wall Street Analyst Says Yes.

Key Points Global data center capital expenditures are expected to reach $1 trillion by 2028. Nvidia already takes a massive cut of that spending. 10 stocks we like better than Nvidia › Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) has been one of the best-performing stocks in recent years, with its price up more than 1,000% since 2023 and around 250% since 2024. However, one Wall Street analyst believes that Nvidia still has plenty of room to soar. Phil Panaro of the Boston Consulting Group thinks that the stock could reach $800 per share by 2030, representing a 370% increase from current levels. Considering that it's already the world's largest company, that's a bold call. But is this $800 price target realistic? Let's back-calculate the numbers to find out. Nvidia forecasts monster growth for data centers Nvidia makes graphics processing units (GPUs) alongside other hardware and software that support them. Although originally designed to process gaming graphics, GPUs are incredibly useful for any task that requires a significant amount of computing power. GPUs can process multiple calculations in parallel, which allows them to excel at these complex tasks. They have been widely used in processing engineering simulations, drug discovery, cryptocurrency mining, and their largest assignment to date: training and processing AI models. Nvidia sells most of its GPUs to AI hyperscalers, which then place them in data centers to create powerful computing clusters. Its revenue growth has been impressive, but it's nowhere near done expanding. The company likes to cite third-party research that shows data center capital expenditures (capex) were $400 billion in 2024 and are expected to increase to $1 trillion by 2028. Considering that the chipmaker generated $115 billion in data center revenue during fiscal 2025 (which encompasses most of 2024), it captured nearly 30% of total spending on it. Should this $1 trillion projection come to fruition and Nvidia maintains a 30% market share, that would mean it will generate $300 billion in revenue. Over the past 12 months, the company has $149 billion in revenue, indicating about 100% growth if the projection comes true. That's far shy of the 370% growth needed to turn it into an $800 stock, as Phil Panaro projects, but it's still strong and market-beating growth. But Panaro's call isn't for 2028, it's for 2030. So we need to look beyond the projection that Nvidia is citing. Even an extended time frame doesn't get Nvidia to $800 The global data center capex figure cited by Nvidia in its 2025 GTC event indicates a compound annual growth rate of 26%. If the data center industry can maintain that growth rate for two extra years until 2030, projected capex would reach nearly $1.6 trillion. If the company can maintain its 30% market share, its revenue would be $473 trillion, indicating 217% growth. This clearly falls short of the 350% Nvidia would need to achieve the $800 price target that Panaro has assigned to the stock. As a result, I don't think the chipmaker can reach Panaro's target within his specified time frame. Still, these calculations have shown that if the data center capex projections are met over the next few years -- and Nvidia maintains its market share dominance -- it can be an incredibly strong performer, delivering market-crushing returns. That makes it a solid stock to buy now, and I think investors would be wise to add Nvidia shares over the next few months. Should you buy stock in Nvidia right now?
