THE PDC have been threatened with legal action amid complaints over the way darts is broadcast.
The controversy was sparked by last weekend's World Seniors Darts Champion of Champions event.

Ross Montgomery won the tournament with an 8-5 win against Richie Howson in the final.
However, the presence of Raymond van Barneveld caused a ripple in the darting world.
The Dutch superstar was a shock addition to the line-up before crashing out in the semis to Montgomery.
That's because the tournament is part of the World Seniors Darts Tour (WSDT), with Van Gerwen holding an active PDC Tour card.

PDC stars are normally only allowed to feature in competitions sanctioned by their own group.
And any non-PDC tournaments that players do feature in are non-televised.
But the Champion of Champions competition was shown live on PlutoTV, leading to confusion over Van Barneveld's participation.
And now, WSDT promoter Jason Francis claims the PDC could be threatened with legal action over its 'monopoly' on broadcasting live darts.

He believes his group should be able to show off the game's top stars if they want to play in WSDT tournaments.
And with a legal challenge currently in the works over how snooker is televised, a similar one could be coming for the world of darts.

Francis told the Weekly Dartscast: "The PDC have a monopoly on broadcast darts. And if Raymond van Barneveld wants to be a professional player, he has to sign a PDC contract.
'There's no negotiation, there's no option, and because of their dominant position, what other choice do players have?"
"If you have more than one person competing for the services of a professional sportsman, who wins? Ultimately, the player wins and the darts fan wins.
"Why is that? Because as promoters, we have to put enough prize money up to attract Raynond van Barneveld, Luke Littler or Luke Humphries to our event.
'If someone else is doing that, we then have to fight over price. Then, the ticket prices come down."
"It's no different to when supermarkets compete over a loaf of bread. Competition is good because the customer gets the best deal. But there is no competition in darts.
'The PDC have a complete monopoly on darts, and it is something that, in snooker, we are legally challenging. If that is successful, I would expect that to follow on in darts as well."

The players themselves probably don't know. How can they? But it's a moment that they won't want to let pass them by. Getting to this stage is a groundbreaking, ceiling-smashing achievement but sport always demands more. Manager Wilkinson would certainly scoff, with disdain, at the idea of simply making up the numbers here. But to some outside the camp, the results will not matter. The impact, the significance of seeing Welsh women compete on this stage is enough. And so all eyes now turn to the first game, an opener against the Dutch. The challenge throughout the group stage is fairly consistent - Netherlands, France and England are all ranked among the best teams in the world. But the opener takes on added significance. An encouraging performance, a draw or even an upset could propel Wales to exceed everyone's wildest dreams. It works both ways, though, and a heavy defeat would be a hammer blow to confidence levels and seeds of doubt would be sewn. Many in camp have already recognised that few outside of Wales are expecting much from them. But yesterday goalkeeper Olivia Clark encouraged doubters to continue writing her side off, suggesting they are comfortable with their underdog status. Captain James has insisted Wales are here to win matches. But tournament football is unforgiving and it moves quickly. Wales play three games in eight days. Blink and you'll miss it. And you'll want to be paying close attention because over the next week or so history will unfold before our eyes.

Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has returned to Liverpool to pay an emotional tribute to his ex-teammate Diogo Jota after his tragic death in a car crash in Spain Jordan Henderson wiped away tears as he returned to Anfield with a tribute for former Liverpool teammate Diogo Jota. The Portuguese forward died in a devastating car crash in Spain on Thursday night alongside his brother Andre Silva. The footballing world has been struck by grief since the news was confirmed, with kind messages being sent from all corners of the globe. Ex-Liverpool skipper Henderson - currently playing for Dutch side Ajax - decided to return to Merseyside to pay his respects. The midfielder laid a scarf and flowers within a growing memorial to Jota outside of Anfield. He was also spotted wiping away a tear as he attempted to come to terms with the heartbreaking loss of his former teammate. Henderson's gesture comes just a day after he had written a touching tribute on social media. He said: "I really can't believe what has happened today and all I can think about is Diogo and Andre's family. It's unimaginable the pain you all must be suffering. All of our prayers, love and support are with you now and forever. "Jots it was a pleasure to share a pitch with you but more importantly a friendship. All the laughs we had off the pitch and trying to find ways to wind milly up and get him fined, which we never could. "Taking pictures of me asleep on the bus travelling then sending them to me later. You always wanted to have a laugh and were a pleasure to be around. I know how much Rute and your family meant to you and I know you will always be looking down on them. "Thank you for everything you brought into this world, we will all miss you. Rest in peace along with your brother Andre. Love ya mate. YNWA." Henderson has joined many of his ex-teammates in paying tribute to Jota and his brother. Current captain Virgil van Dijk also penned some words, while making a vow to Jota's family. He said: "Man, I can't believe it, I don't wanna believe it. Absolutely devastated and in total disbelief. What a human being, what a player, but most importantly what an unbelievable family man. "You meant so much to all of us and you always will! For your family to lose two sons, a husband and a father is just unimaginable. So cruel and unfair. "My heart is breaking for all of your beautiful family, for Rute and for your kids. I promise you that in these difficult times and beyond we will always be there for your family. "A champion forever, number 20 forever. It's been a privilege to have stood by your side on the pitch, and to have been your friend off it. We will miss you beyond words and never forget you. Your legacy will live on, we will make sure of it! Rest in perfect peace Diogo & André." Liverpool have already delayed their return for pre-season following the news of Jota's passing. They were originally set to return this Friday for initial testing but that has now been pushed back to Monday at the earliest.
