Pregnant Olivia Culpo is mercilessly mocked over her excessive hospital bags

Daily Mail3 days ago
Pregnant Olivia Culpo has been mercilessly mocked online thanks to her excessive hospital bags.
The model, 33, who is currently expecting her first child with husband Christian McCaffrey, took to TikTok earlier this week to share everything that she had packed to bring to the hospital with her when she gives birth.
She confessed that she had filled up two enormous suitcases to the brim with stuff like an expensive robe, pillows, comforters, multiple outfits, and of course, a ton of hair and makeup products.
And many viewers couldn't help but poke fun at how much stuff she was bringing.
Olivia began the video, which got over 1.3 million views, by explaining that she had 'worked really hard' on picking the right items.
She said she wanted to share what she chose to hopefully help other moms feel less 'overwhelmed' during the process.
'First time mom packing my hospital bag,' she said. 'I worked really hard on this, and I know how overwhelming the whole process is so I committed a while ago to making a video.
'I want to be a resource for people because I watched so many of these. And they're really interesting.'
She explained that she had she packed 'two large suitcases,' one that had all her 'comfort stuff' and another filled with her 'essentials.'
In the first, she explained that she had multiple pillows and blankets, including a twin-sized comforter.
'I am such a pillow snob so I knew I was going to need specific pillows,' she said.
'That's just a me thing. I don't know what the hospital pillows are like but I am not taking my chances. I need to get my beauty sleep, I'm gonna be a mom.'
She also packed two sleep masks, two portable fans, a small light, some scented room sprays for 'aroma therapy,' a framed picture of her dog, Oliver, and a $184 Chasa robe.
In addition, she brought two 'postpartum mom kits' from Frida Mom - 'one is for C-section and one is for vaginal birth' - and five fake candles.
'This is the most ridiculous thing, these are flameless, flickering candles,' she said of the latter.
In the essentials bag, she had a nursing bra, nipple butter, a Boppy pillow for breast feeding, a Medela breast pump and Medela hydrogel pad, electrolytes, a lactation drink mix, and a water bottle.
She also had a separate bag full of snacks, a professional camera and video recorder, headphones, chargers, and an extension chord.
There was another bag that had all her makeup and hair products, which she said also included deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, and other hygiene 'basics' like that.
In addition, the expecting mother packed six different outfits, slippers, slides, and shower shoes.
Olivia explained that she also packed a small bag with baby stuff, which included three outfits, a notebook to document everything, a Barefoot Dreams blanket, swaddle, sound machine, placenta kit, and chord collection kit.
'A lot of this stuff is more luxury as opposed to essentials,' she reflected after she finished breaking everything down. 'I'm aware of that.
'I thought it would make my hospital stay more comfortable and I hope you guys find it useful.
'And if you didn't find any of this helpful and you think I'm ridiculous and that I overpacked - one, I slightly agree with you and two, you made it this far in the video, and I commend you for that.'
Many viewers couldn't help but roast Olivia in the comment section.

'OLIVIA ARE YOU MOVING TO THE HOSPITAL?' one jokingly asked.
'Let me tell you, I didn't even open my hospital bag. I used everything the hospital provided,' shared another.
'I was in and out in 24 hours. Are you planning on staying a week?' someone else wrote.
'LOL are you camping in the hospital?' read a fourth comment.
'Is this is birthing vacation? I literally laughed out loud,' said a fifth.
A different user penned, 'Omg are you kidding that is so much, you have to do another video and tell us what you actually used lol.'
'How long is she expecting to be there? Thats a lot of stuff,' someone else added.
'This is the best TikTok I've seen in months! I haven't laughed this hard in days! Please stitch this when you unpack,' another viewer commented.
'Holy moly… I had five kids and I don't think I brought that much stuff for all five births combined,' shared one shocked user.
'Times have changed since I had my baby in 2000. I rolled in that day with an outfit and blanket for the baby and left the next morning,' a different person wrote.
In March, Olivia and Christian announced they were expecting their first child together and that Olivia was already six months pregnant.
The couple, who have been dating since 2019 and tied the knot last summer in a lavish ceremony in Rhode Island, have yet to announce the gender of the baby.

Hannah Ingram-Moore, the daughter of Captain Tom Moore, has launched a new career on TikTok, rebranding herself as a "resilience coach". The hair expert also claimed a viral growth syrup was not worth the hype HAIR THIS I had bald patches at 21 & tried all the hair hacks – a viral Amazon buy reversed it and now my locks are thick & long Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) WHEN Sofia started losing her hair at just 21, she turned to every viral TikTok hack and pricey hair serum out there but says that only one product actually worked. Now 24, the London-based hair researcher claims XXX buy has totally transformed her hair, helping her grow back thick, healthy locks after years of bald patches and self-esteem struggles. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Sophia began balding at just 21-years-old Credit: tiktok/@sofiahairhealth 2 She's shared the secret product that's landed her luscious locks Credit: Sophia said: 'I've tried every 'miracle' product on the market, and nothing compares." She claims Growplex's Vitafoam 5% Minoxidil gave her her hair back and gave it 10/10 for hair growth, ranking it the best on the market. The over-the-counter scalp treatment works by increasing blood flow to hair follicles, helping to stimulate growth. Sofia said she applies the foam formula to her scalp every night before bed and hasn't looked back since. What other hair-growth products has she tried? Her reviews as a trichologist are refreshingly honest, especially when it comes to viral hair care that just didn't deliver. Sophie gave cult-favourite Kerastase Genesis just 5/10, calling it 'glamorous but pointless' for actual hair regrowth. She said although the product might reduce a bit of breakage it "doesn't touch hormonal or genetic causes'. Another hyped-up TikTok pick, Seapuri Hair Growth Serum, scored a dismal 2/10. Sophia claimed the hype was all due to marketing, as it doesn't contain any clinically-proven ingredients to actually regrow hair. Surprisingly, she also slammed Hair Syrup, rating it just 1/10. The hair researcher called it a "total scam" and claimed it clogged her scalp pores and "made everything worse". My hair's so thin you can see my scalp but miracle £8 buy fixes it in seconds On the more positive end, she gave Champo's Pitta Growth Serum a 7/10, saying although it won't reverse baldness it will support overall hair health. Nioxin's Anti-Hair Loss Serum also scored fairly well with 7.5/10. Sophia explained that it activates hair growth by triggering an olfactory response — basically waking the follicles up with scent stimulation. She claims it's smart, but still not as effective as Minoxidil. Sophie's ultimate hair-growth hack She swears by combining Minoxidil with DHT-blocking supplements like pumpkin seed oil, saw palmetto and stinging nettle root. She explained that DHT is the hormone that shrinks hair follicles and so stopping it is key if you want to stop the loss. Still, she insists: 'You can spend hundreds on shampoos, tonics and influencers' favourites, but nothing beats Minoxidil, DHT blockers and maybe laser therapy if you're serious about regrowth.' But behind all the testing and reviews is a much deeper journey. Sofia first realised something was wrong when she started noticing thinning around her hairline during university. 'I'd wake up and see more scalp than hair,' she recalled. 'Then I spotted actual bald patches.' Eventually, she was diagnosed with androgenic alopecia, a genetic condition more commonly found in older women but hers came on fast and early. At the time, she says she withdrew from friends, felt deeply insecure, and spent months researching solutions. Doctors warned there was no permanent cure, just ongoing treatments. That's when Sofia threw herself into learning about hair biology and testing everything she could get her hands on. Hair re-growth FAQs Anabel Kingsley, Consultant Trichologist and Brand President at Philip Kingsley spoke exclusively to Fabulous. How long does it take for hair to grow back? Hair grows, on average, half an inch a month. You cannot speed this up. Do rosemary oil and scalp massages work? Oils do not promote hair growth. In terms of rosemary oil, the current trend stems from one small study carried out on 50 men in 2015. No women were involved, and the study compared the effects of 2 per cent minoxidil to Rosemary oil. 2 per cent minoxidil doesn't do much for male pattern hair loss anyway, so the results were not very impressive. Oils do serve a purpose in conditioning hair treatments though. They help add shine and smooth the hair cuticle to lock-in moisture and improve combability. Scalp massages alone won't cure hair loss, but it can help relax you, aid in lymphatic drainage, exfoliate and help topicals penetrate. Are there any products or foods/vitamins you recommend someone using or eating to help with hair regrowth? To support healthy hair regrowth, if you are experiencing hair thinning we'd recommend our Density Preserving Scalp Drops clinically proven to help slow hair loss with continued daily use within three months. Telogen effluvium (hair shedding) due to nutritional deficiencies can often be simply treated with changes to your diet, and nutritional supplements such as our specially formulated Density Healthy Hair Complex and Density Amino Acid Booster. Iron and Ferritin (stored iron) in red meat, dried apricots and dark, leafy greens. Vitamin B12 in animal products and fortified plant-based foods. Protein from oily fish, lean meat, cottage cheese, tofu, nuts, chickpeas, and beans. However, there may be an underlying cause for their hair loss and rather than this being masked by using an off-the-shelf product, they should be encouraged to seek the advice of a specialist such as a Trichologist. Now, thanks to her routine and that game-changing Amazon foam, her hair is visibly fuller and healthier, and her confidence is back too. She's built a supportive following on TikTok where she shares advice, reviews, and encouragement with others facing hair loss. 'People message me every day, from teen boys to women in their 50s, saying thank you for being honest about what works and what doesn't,' she said. She says her comment section has become a "beautiful space where people just support each other".

Forget butter yellow – this is the colour all chic Italian women are wearing this summer

From the burnt tones at Roberto Cavalli to the bright citrus hues at Etro and the sun-kissed shades at Bottega Veneta, the SS25 catwalks at Milan Fashion Week last September were awash with the statement-making colour. And now our TikTok and Instagram feeds are too. Though it may seem like an intimidating colour to wear, tangerine orange plays surprisingly well with the rest of your wardrobe; adding warmth to crisp whites, livening up earthy neutrals and popping against blacks. Take cues from the fashion set and keep the styling relaxed and a little undone for a low-effort take on the trend. Team a tangerine top with some loose white trousers and brown woven flats to tone down the brightness; or elevate the combination of fiery orange trousers and tan fisherman sandals with a white button-down. If you want to go all in, a maxi dress or playful co-ord is the easy answer – let the colour do the talking but add dimension with gold jewellery and raffia accessories. Or, for a bold, intentional spin on tangerine, play with different tones (lighter or deeper oranges) and textures (silks, linens, cottons or knits) to add depth and interest. Ahead, you'll find 15 of the best tangerine orange pieces to mix into your summer wardrobe.
