WATCH: Ohio State basketball guard Taison Chatman appears to be recovering well
The Ohio State basketball team has been going through its summer workouts and showing some of the audio and video from the start of what it hopes will be the building blocks to a successful return to the NCAA Tournament this season after missing it for the third year in a row last year.
Optimism seems to be abounding with the health of the team, and with the mixture of incoming talent through the transfer portal and returning scoring and athleticism, the Buckeyes were able to retain. One guy, however, OSU did not have the services of last year is guard Taison Chatman. He tore his ACL during spring workouts last season and has been recovering after surgery, taking a redshirt year last year.
If he can come back healthy, he could add some needed shooting touch and ball handling that is sorely needed. And, but the looks of some video shared on the Ohio State X account, it sure looks like Chatman is getting around pretty good and scoring buckets in some of the controlled scrimmage sessions.
Take a look at Chatman in some highlights that should give everyone some excitement for what he could bring to the floor this season.
Many people forget about Chatman as an option, but if he can be another option to score, handle the ball, and provide depth, he could be a pleasant surprise this year.

After making a deep run in the college football playoffs last year, and garnering another top tier roster going into the 2025 season, Penn State has gained the respect of the rating makers on EA Sports College Football 26. Advertisement Last year before the highly anticipated game was released, the Nittany Lions ranked as the 9th best team in the game. They now sit in the four spot, although they have the same rating as they did last season, 88 overall. Nevertheless they saw a rise in their ranking, and are ranked as the second ranked team in the BIG 10, behind Ohio State who is number three on the list. Starting quarterback for Penn State Drew Allar did see a rise in his individual rating. He decided to forgo the NFL draft and come back for his senior season at Penn State. With back to back seasons of great numbers the rating makers seem to think Allar is due for a leap. His first full season as a starter in his sophomore season Allar threw for 2,631 yards. He also had 25 touchdown passes flanked by just two interceptions. Last year he threw for 3,327 yards, 24 TDs, and eight INTs. Advertisement Allar is ranked as the third highest overall quarterback prior to the game's release at a 92 overall. Last year before the game was released Allar was rated an 88 overall. Allar again this year is surrounded by some of college football's weapons. It would not be shocking by the end of the season that people look up and he is the highest rated QB on the game. He is walking into his last season of college ball with things you can not teach. He has top-level arm strength, top-level talent around him, and most importantly experience. He has played at the some of the biggest stages you can in his career, and has faced some of college football's best teams. In 2025 there is not a lot of things that will catch Allar off guard. Nebraska defensive back target picks Oregon Ducks over Huskers
Nebraska football target Devin Jackson committed to the Oregon Ducks on Friday afternoon. He made the announcement on social media. Jackson is the No. 21 overall safety in the 2026 class and the No. 32 overall player in his class from the state of Florida, according to the On3 industry rankings. Oregon, Florida, Miami, and Nebraska were all in the mix for the playmaker. Now, he will head to Eugene. Jackson recorded 80 tackles and four interceptions last season for The First Academy in Orlando, Fla., according to statistics from This is certainly a bummer for Huskers, as Jackson would have been a major impact player at the safety position. That being said, they have certainly made some major gains in the 2026 recruiting class in a month's time. The class currently ranks No. 37 overall in the country, according to the On3 rankings.
