Sitaare Zameen Par Day 16 India Box Office: Aamir Khan's dramedy gains big; Adds Rs 4.30 crore net to tally on 3rd Saturday

Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by RS Prasanna and starring Aamir Khan, Genelia Deshmukh and others, added a strong Rs 4.30 crore to its tally on 3rd Saturday, after holding ground on its 3rd Friday (Rs 2.25 crore) despite new, strong releases. Clubbing the 3rd Friday and Saturday numbers with the first 2 week collections of the film, Sitaare Zameen Par stands at Rs 138.55 crore net in 16 days. The movie should observe growth on Sunday too, to take the cume to Rs 144 crore. The Day Wise Net India Collections Of Sitaare Zameen Par In India Are As Under Sitaare Zameen Par Will Look To End Week 3 Netting Rs 150 Crore If the weekdays for the Aamir Khan starrer hold good, it will hit the Rs 150 crore mark by the end of the 3rd week. The movie shall face stiff competition from three new releases, namely Maalik, Superman and Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan next week. It's will likely end its run in the vicinity of Rs 160 crore net. We'll have 3 2025 Bollywood movies - Housefull 5, Raid 2 and Sitaare Zameen par, all end in the same range and that's some coincidence. More so because all three are sequels from List-A stars. Sitaare Zameen Par Looks To End Its Run Slightly Over Rs 250 Crore Worldwide Sitaare Zameen Par looks to end its international run in the vicinity of USD 6.50 million. A global finish of Rs 250-255 crore is on the cards. There may be a release in a few other territories in the months to come. The movie will hope to gain acceptance in the non-traditional international markets, so that the collections can go past, not just Rs 300 crore worldwide but even Rs 400 crore.

Metro In Dino Day 2 India Box Office: Anurag Basu's directorial shows reasonable growth to net Rs 5.50 crore on first Saturday; Total remain under par

Dino, directed by Anurag Basu and starring Ali Fazal, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Nina Gupta, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma and others, showed reasonable gains on day 2, after a low opening day. With Rs 5.50 crore net on day 2, the total of the movie stands at Rs 8.75 crore. Sunday should see a slight jump from day 2, and the movie will end with a weekend of Rs 14.50 crore net or so. The Day Wise India Net Collections Of Dino Are As Under Dino's Rs 8.75 Crore Net Total In 2 Days Is Under Par; Strong Weekdays Required The collections of Dino in India so far are not up to the mark. Being a multiplex-oriented, metro-centric film with a low opening day, a Saturday growth was obviously coming. What the film essentially needs is a very strong weekday trend so that it can retain good screens in week 2 amidst stiff competition from Superman, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan and Maalik, apart from the already strong holdover releases. Dino Needs To Net Rs 55 Crore In India/Gross Rs 75 Crore Worldwide To Breakeven The weekday trend will determine whether Dino will barely cross Rs 30 crore net in India, or go on to do around Rs 40 crore net if not more. With the overseas collections not as strong as they should be, all the pressure is precisely on the India theatricals. As stated earlier, a Rs 75 crore gross worldwide collection is the bare minimum that the movie needs to do, in order to ensure that no one in the value chain loses any money. Given roughly Rs 10 crore gross will come from international markets, the Anurag Basu directorial needs to net around Rs 55 crore net, atleast. Dino In Theatres After Dino, Anurag Basu moves onto his next with Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela. Dino plays in theatres now. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates on Anurag Basu and his Dino.

Jurassic World Rebirth Day 2 India Box Office: Scarlett Johansson fronted dinosaur movie shows solid growth on Saturday; Nets good Rs 12.75 crore

Jurassic World: Rebirth, directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali and a bunch of other talented actors, has netted Rs 12.75 crore net on day 2 at the India box office. The growth of Jurassic World: Rebirth from day 1 is a striking Rs 55 percent and there should be consolidation on Sunday, for a net India weekend of Rs 35 crore or so. The Day Wise Net India Collections Of Jurassic World: Rebirth Are As Under Jurassic World Nets A Good Rs 12.75 Crore On Saturday; Showcasing Issues Get Resolved To An Extent The Scarlett Johansson movie faced showcasing issues on its opening day, with it getting lesser screens than it deserved, going by the public interest. The exhibitors made vital changes for Saturday to ensure Jurassic World: Rebirth gets the screens it requires to satiate the public's hunger. The Multiple, Unplanned Releases Are Putting Exhibitors In A Tough Spot Still, there are so many different distributors fighting for screens that it can become overwhelming for exhibtitors to do justice to all films. The release planning really needs to be done more smartly by all producers so that no movie gets screens, lesser than they deserve. Next week, the exhibitors shall again be in a fix as three new movies, namely Superman, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan and Maalik enter the marketplace. The 18th July weekend will be smooth with only Saiyaara releasing. But that shall be followed by another tight week with Son Of Sardaar 2 and Fantastic Four locking horns. The Indian producers are not in any mood to resolve conflict, and thus we'll see a massive Pan-India clash between War 2 and Coolie on 14th August, 2025. When there are so many weeks with no big releases, why are producers not targetting those? That shall always remain a mystery we guess. Jurassic World: Rebirth In Theatres
