Kristen Stewart Debuts Bright Pink Hair With a Rule-Bending Outfit at Cannes
Kristen Stewart debuted a bold, pink dip-dye hair look at Cannes Film Festival for the world premiere of her directorial debut.
She also wore a sheer Chanel outfit that bended the new Cannes fashion rule.
Stewart's appearance comes after her intimate wedding to Dylan Meyer last month.Kristen Stewart just debuted a major hair change in Cannes. Attending the film festival for the world premiere of her directorial debut, The Chronology of Water, the actress added a fresh pink dip dye to her bleached blonde locks. To complement her new pink 'do, Stewart also wore an all-pink look—that almost broke one of the festival's new fashion rules.
Stewart sported her new hair in a messy updo, showing off her new pink strands on the top of her head. She also rocked a new set of choppy bangs.
Styled by Tara Swennen, Stewart wore a pale pink Chanel outfit that comprised of a short-sleeve tweed cardigan and a matching pair of shorts, with a sheer pink maxi skirt on top. She finished off the look with a pair of pink heels, a diamond choker necklace, and a few silver rings.
The sheer skirt and midriff-baring cardigan arguably bend the new Cannes Film Festival fashion rules, which ban sheer nude looks and voluminous gowns.
Stewart makes her directorial debut with The Chronology of Water, a biographical romantic drama inspired by the memoir of writer Lidia Yuknavitch. The film was co-written by Stewart and Andy Mingo.
'It became a sacred text for me overnight," Stewart said to Vanity Fair of Yuknavitch's memoir. Speaking about the themes of the book and film, she added, 'It's about repossessing your voice through your body, and just how you process that as a woman in this motherfucking day and age. And that's not easy right now.'
Stewart's appearance at Cannes comes less than a month after her quiet Los Angeles wedding ceremony where she tied the knot with Dylan Meyer.

The duo looked exquisite at their rare red carpet appearance. Pitt and de Ramon have been dating since 2022, marking their second appearance on the red carpet together. Brad Pitt and his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, look spellbinding during the premiere of the actor's upcoming film 'F1.' The couple recently made heads turn at their recent red carpet appearance in Times Square on June 16. The couple were in New York City to attend the premiere of Pitt's upcoming racing movie, 'F1,' which also stars Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, and Javier Bardem. The movie also has cameos of professional Formula One drivers Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris, Max Verstappen, and Charles Leclerc. At the red carpet, the couple happily posed for pictures while holding hands. However, what stole the limelight, apart from their PDA packed date night, was their style. Pitt looked dapper in a navy blue suit with a light pink shirt and matching pocket square. Meanwhile, Ines de Ramon dazzled in a baby blue Chanel number, featuring a sheer, plunging halter top paired with a belted, feathered, long skirt. The 32-year-old completed her look with a white Chanel purse and a neat hairstyle. The dad of six has been dating de Ramon since late 2022. The Jewellery designer was previously married to 'Vampire Diaries' alum Paul Wesley. However, the former couple parted ways in September of the same year. Their divorce was finalized in February 2024. After years of legal battle, even Pitt and his ex-wife Angelina Jolie finally settled their divorce in December 2024. The couple has mostly been private about their love life. But it was in July 2024 when Pitt and de Ramon made their first public appearance at the British Grand Prix. A source told People that de Ramon has 'brought a lot of peace into Brad's life,' adding, 'Their relationship has been easy and natural.' Rod Stewart shares special message for Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis
Rod Stewart welcomed Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis onto the Pyramid Stage during his Legends slot at the festival on Sunday (29 June), in a heartwarming move to mark Eavis's 90th birthday. Eavis, who will turn 90 in October this year, arrived on stage in a wheelchair, accompanied by his daughter Emily, the festival's organiser. As Eavis entered the main stage at Worthy Farm, Stewart, 80, greeted him with an embrace and a kiss on the cheek.'Happy Birthday to Michael Eavis, he's the guy who founded Glastonbury,' Stewart told the crowd. 'Let's all give him a big round of applause. Michael, where are ya? Don't be shy!' Stewart then launched into a performance of his 1975 hit 'I Don't Want to Talk About It', featuring a singalong from the enormous crowd. Eavis's appearance wasn't the only surprise of the show. Stewart brought out Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall straight afterwards, for a rendition of Simply Red's 1989 track 'If You Don't Know Me by Now'. He then welcomed Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie Wood, for their 2004 Faces hit 'Stay With Me', followed by Scottish star Lulu. Elsewhere, Stewart's set included hits such as 'Maggie May' and 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?'. His performance came just days after he endorsed Nigel Farage in a newspaper interview, telling Brits to 'give Farage a chance'. He claimed that the Reform UK leader is 'coming across well' when asked about the political future of the UK. Eavis also made headlines earlier this week when he stated that those who disagree with Glastonbury's political leanings 'can go somewhere else'. The event has long been known for its strong political undercurrent, with stages such as Left Field and Green Fields' Speakers Forum regularly hosting politicians, pundits, and celebrities. Asked by the Glastonbury Free Press, the festival's resident newspaper, if the event still stands for something, Eavis did not mince his words. 'Oh heaven's above, yes, of course it does,' he said. 'And I think the people that come here are into all those things. People that don't agree with the politics of the event can go somewhere else!' US pop star Olivia Rodrigo will be closing the festival with her headline performance on the Pyramid Stage at 9.45pm on Sunday night. Keep up to date with 's Glastonbury live blog here.
