David Duchovny gets married
The 'X Files' actor and his partner Monique Pendleberry - who he has been in a relationship with for almost six years - were spotted in Malibu on Tuesday (20.05.25) wearing rings on their wedding fingers, and insiders have now confirmed to Us Weekly that the pair have tied the knot.
The 64-year-old star - who has West, 26, and Kyd, 22, with ex-wife Tea Leoni - began dating Monique, 31, in 2017 but they have made very few public appearances together over the years.
The 'Californication' star previously told how his 2014 divorce from Tea, 59, made him "more empathetic and humble".
He told The Times about the emotional fallout he was hit by following the split: 'That darkness does deepen you. It makes you more empathetic and humble.'
David also opened up about how people are constantly trying to work out if his role as womaniser Hank Moody in 'Californication' was linked to him checking into rehab for sex addiction in 2008.
He said when asked if the role was a case of art imitating life: 'People never tire of trying to figure that out.
'But to me, that's not what acting is about. I don't look for things that are mirroring my life in any way.'
The 'Fail Better' podcaster has also confessed to feeling "inadequate" as a father because he was always working so much.
He told People magazine last year: 'Maybe I was a good parent, because my kids are great people, and they probably want to think of me as a good parent, too.
'They don't want to think of me as a failure. I'm sure I've done bad things, I'm sure I've made mistakes, but we all have. So, I try and give myself more of a break.
However, he noted it was 'also cool to model a person who's engaged with their life for a kid.'
He added: 'It might not be the best thing to just devote your entire existence to your kid either, so it could go either way.
'I don't have access to the other road that could have been traveled. I just have the one that I did travel, so certainly not a perfect parent, but I love my kids. I love my kids so, so much.'

A source told Us Weekly: 'This has brought them even closer. It's a healthy relationship for Pete. "Pete has always wanted to be a dad and thinks the timing in his life is perfect. He couldn't have done it a few years ago but is in a very different place in life now. 'He's had a great year so far with two movies coming out soon, another in production, and a return to stand-up.' While Pete and Elsie only went public with their romance in March, insiders insisted they are smitten with each other. The source said: 'They are over the moon about it. They are so excited. Pete and Elsie have a really playful relationship, and things are going really well.'

Adam Sandler is finally bringing back Happy Gilmore after nearly 30 years thanks to constant fan pressure. The 58-year-old actor and comedian confirmed the long-anticipated sequel during an appearance on Good Morning America on Monday, 21 July, and explained devotees of the golf spoof film had consistently asked about a follow-up to the 1996 comedy. He said: 'When I walk(ed) down the street a lotta times people (would) say, 'You ever gonna do Happy Gilmore 2?' 'And for 28 years, I was like, 'What are you talking about? No.' And then all of a sudden, I was like, 'Maybe'... people kept asking. And then it just felt right.' In Happy Gilmore 2, Adam reprises his role as the foul-mouthed, hockey-loving golfer. He said about how the follow-up film picks up at a more turbulent time in the character's life: 'His life isn't perfect right now – at least at the beginning of the movie. And he's a family man, and he's gettin' back into the golf game.' The new cast includes returning co-stars Ben Stiller, 58, Christopher McDonald, 70, and Julie Bowen, 54, along with newcomers such as NFL star Travis Kelce, 34, Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, 30, and several professional golfers. When asked how such a wide-ranging ensemble was assembled, Adam said: 'I don't know how it happened. 'We wrote 'em stuff and everybody was kind enough to come. And everybody in it did a great job.'
