In their first-ever interview — where they revealed their faces and names — the Aus Foodiee creators spoke to SBS News about how life in Australia has been a surprising treat since arriving two months ago on working holiday visas. "Some people don't use shoes here. I don't know why," Lee said, laughing. "The traditional Aussie has a hairstyle like yours." He pointed to this author's mullet and laughed even harder. Lee, who worked as a videographer in Korea, is typically the one who directs, films and edits the videos. But he doesn't cook, leaving that job to Choi, who has worked as a chef in his day job for over seven years. The reason they don't show their faces is that the videos are easier to edit if there are no shots of people, they said, half-joking. The pair said they have been "best friends for 20 years". They met as eight-year-olds and have maintained a close friendship despite moving to separate cities — Lee lived in Seoul and Choi lived in Busan. It's a far cry from regional Victoria where they're living now, juggling foodie shoots in between work and travel to Melbourne to film at restaurants.
Lee said he created the account to help people understand and connect with other cultures, and said what he's learned along the way has helped him adapt to life in Australia. "I didn't expect lots of people's interest, but I think I want to make a very helpful account. And I think food has a very special energy," he said. "I didn't expect us to have an encouraging and powerful effect, but someday we are going to make this channel bigger and bigger and bigger."
Their most popular video, with nearly a million views on Instagram and TikTok combined, is the homemade sausage sizzle. Choi caramelises onions, pan-fries a packet of sausages and serves them on white bread with ketchup. Speaking in Korean with auto-generated English captions, Lee says in the video: "This is said to be the national dish of Australians ... I think it's also called Bunnings sausage sizzle. "How to make it is easier than you think."
As is often the case with their dishes, fans who frequently comment on their posts gave them another idea, so they filmed a trip to get a sausage in bread from Bunnings, describing it as "meaningful food". Choi and Lee said they weren't sure why so many people loved the sausage video in particular, but they thought the meal was one of the tastiest they've had. The duo laughed, saying they were surprised the sausages were so thin. So what's Lee's favourite dish he discovered in two months in Australia? Choi's favourite is the hot cross bun, though he really enjoys Japanese food. They said Australia's food scene should be described as multicultural. "You can try every country's food, but some are not as good as others," Lee said. He said the Korean food they tried in Melbourne was nice but not spicy enough. The duo plan to make as many videos as they can while in Australia, most likely whatever their audience suggests Choi should cook.

A US based cleaning expert has detailed a new hack to clean her trainers, and it is found in the aisles of a titan of Australian retail. Caroline Solomon shares cleaning content to her social media channels, including a thread of videos that have show her trying to clean dirty trainers. A But there is one video that she has posted which has led to a popular product sold in Australia repurposed as a cleaner for dirty trainers. 'I'm sharing two easy ways to make your white leather sneakers look brand new again,' Caroline said at the start of the video that she posted to her TikTok. 'The first thing you need of course is a Magic Eraser,' she told her followers on the video sharing sight. In Australia, the item in question is sold as a Mr Clean Eraser pad for $4.98, or a four pack which sells for $7.49. Caroline explained the method to clean dirty white sneakers with the Magic Eraser, starting by first running the melamine sponge under water to get it 'damp, but not soaked'. Then, she demonstrated gently scrubbing the foam block along both 'the sneaker and the rubber sole of the shoe'. The result? Instantly refreshed looking sneakers. Commentators were quick to praise the self-styled home guru. 'This worked for me,' read one reply. Another read 'I cut mine in half to get more use out of them that way! They get worn faster when wet so I also only wet half of sponge.' On the Bunnings website, the Mr Clean Eraser Pod Block has a 4.9 stars rating, with many reviews raving about how it 'works great' to remove scuffs and marks from walls and floors. However, none of the reviews made mention of its bonus use to clean up dirty sneakers.

Tic-tac UFOs have been coming to Earth for centuries, expert claims
Mysterious Tic Tac-shaped UFOs have been visiting Earth for centuries, leading alien investigator Mark Christopher Lee has claimed. In his new documentary Project: Alien Earth, Lee challenges the popular belief that the UFOs - like those seen by US Navy pilots off California in 2004 - are secret military technology. Instead, he presents historical and photographic evidence suggesting these craft predate modern aviation. Lee said: "We've been seeing these 'Tic Tac' shaped craft for centuries, and I believe it's time to face the truth. The idea that they are man-made simply doesn't hold up. How can we explain detailed sightings of the same type of craft in the 1600s and 1800s, before powered flight even existed?' In his new documentary film - now streaming on Amazon Prime Video - Lee highlights two major events as proof. In 1561, hundreds of witnesses in Nuremberg, Germany, reported strange aerial objects during what was described as a 'sky battle,' including cylindrical craft resembling today's Tic Tac UFOs. Similarly, during the Great Airship Wave of 1896–1897 in the United States, thousands of eye witnesses - including journalists and judges - claimed to have seen metallic, capsule-shaped craft decades before the Wright brothers' first flight. Lee said: "These objects were described in eerily similar ways to modern-day sightings. "Silent propulsion, instant acceleration, no visible means of lift, the same exact features we see in the Tic Tac UFOs today. That's not coincidence. That's continuity.' Lee - whose other films include The King of UFOs and The Rendlesham UFO : The British Roswell - also suggests that claims of military involvement are a deliberate diversion. He stated: "If the public can be convinced these craft are secret military tech, then there's no need to ask the bigger, more frightening question: Are we being visited? Have we always been watched?' Project: Alien Earth features interviews with ufologists, historians, and eyewitnesses, aiming to expose what Lee calls 'a cover-up of cosmic proportions".
