30 Must-Have Products For Comfortable Travel

Buzz Feed11-05-2025
An adjustable infinity pillow designed with 360-degree support so you can sleep like royalty on your next long flight, despite being in economy seating.
A reviewer-adored Cozy Spaces-themed coloring book to help out anyone who considers airplanes *anything* other than cozy. Put on your noise-canceling headphones and remind yourself that there's no need to think about anything other than coloring on your flight. This is designed to distract your busy brain with tiny bears making turnip tinctures and bugs decorating their overturned teacup homes. Cute.
Or Beyond Bored, a 200-page activity book intended for entertaining adults in the most surprising (and hilariously mundane) ways possible. Its spiral-bound design makes it super easy to handle in small airplane seats, and the activities range from the "sensible sedan coloring sheet" to "complete the drawing tasks," involving trash raccoons who wish they were in Paris. One reviewer complained that there are too many haunted dolls in this book, and I've gotta say...that's when I knew I had to have it.
A textured NeeDoh gumdrop that'll be the best stimming toy this side of Willie Wonka's Chocolate Factory. These are made to be extra squishable with a satisfying weight *and* although they are silicone, they won't gather dust if packed into your carry-on. It's basically a real-life Everlasting Gobstopper, and it'll gladly keep you soothed when the flight gets a little...wonky.
On The Fly, a *literal* airplane facial kit from Patchology with two hydrating face masks, both day and night eye gels, and a lip gel mask. Each piece is designed to be opened and applied while in the air, so you can be confident knowing they won't be too messy to use in the window seat. Give your skin a chance to relax during a long travel day and put this in your purse!
The newest Kindle Paperwhite — the fastest Kindle yet — for anyone who genuinely thinks it's about the journey (aaand all the hours of uninterrupted reading they can sneak in on a flight) and not just the destination. A single charge can last up to 12 weeks, so go ahead and start reading Throne of Glass now (is this the second Sarah J. Mass reference I've made in this post? YES!). Plus, this is waterproof, so you can cry your heckin' eyes out after finishing the final book without waterlogging your reader.
An AirFly wireless transmitter to connect your AirPods (or wireless headphones) to your airplane's screen the next time you travel, no Bluetooth needed!! Using the unimpressive corded headphones they hand out is far too tedious. Treat yourself to some modern, cord-free entertainment while in the air.
A pair of Bose QuietComfort Wireless Bluetooth Headphones with three levels of noise cancellation, a mic and speaker perfect for calls, luscious deep bass, and up to 24 hours of music on a single charge. Snag these and they'll help you tune out the mouth sounds of the overzealous snacker you're sitting beside.
A pair of compression socks — they're gonna have you swelling with gratitude when you realize your legs aren't swelling when you reach altitude.
A Lugabug travel seat — this game-changing "chair" can attach to a carry-on suitcase so your tiny toddler isn't dragging their feet past every Cinnabon in the airport on the way to your gate. There are...so many Cinnabons.
And an all-terrain stroller so lightweight and compact it'll fit in the overhead bin on a plane. When your kid has been on a flight for hours, waiting for a stroller to be retrieved from storage after you deplane may feel like a millennium. Plus, this stroller can conquer all the cobblestone streets or rocky gravel paths your next outing may take you on!
A cord-free portable charger for keeping your iPhone and iPad alive and making SURE you have all your preferred forms of at-home entertainment with you even while you're away.
A cotton eye mask you can use when the child in the window seat won't stop playing eye-spy, despite the fact that the sun is shining right into your eyes *and* the fact that the only thing they've seen over the last two hours is, get this, clouds.
A compact trash bin sure to save your upholstery from suckers, soda bottles, and all the other sticky substances your kids sneak into the car on your family vacation. Despite what your child thinks, cupholders are not, in fact, tiny trash cans.
Dramamine can ease your mind (and your stomach) if you get queasy just thinking about all the twists and turns traveling can take. Plus, this formula won't make you too tired to enjoy the ride!
And a pack of homeopathic jet-lag pills — they may just keep you from sleeping through your vacation, no matter how late your red-eye is.
A packing checklist you can look at while on the road — keeping you confident that everything you need is packed up and on vacation with you. Don't stress, your shampoo is safe in your suitcase!
A pack of shoe bags for keeping your potentially stinky shoes from touching your perfectly pressed clothes while packing up. The thought of smelling like a shoebox while on your trip would make any anxious person extra uncomfortable — I'm speaking from experience here.
A stick-on shade to block the sun's bright rays and *hopefully* make nap time easier in the back seat. A road trip sans toddler temper tantrums is about as uncomfortable as things get. Ask any parent!
A memory foam cushion for keeping your rear in gear on particularly long drives. Keep your tush happy and comfortable through every bump in the road!
A travel bag of aromatherapy essential oil towelettes — this is sure gonna be useful when you've traveled all day and can't have an actual shower.
A flight flap that's moldable, durable, and almost as thin as a piece of paper. This can hold everything from a Kindle to an iPhone, keeping your electronics perfectly in place so you don't have to hold them throughout your flight.
A passport wallet sure to help those of us who have a habit of losing passports and important papers the minute we book a flight. Use this and give yourself some peace of mind when you travel — all of your papers are *finally* in one organized place and easy to access.
A set of decibel-reducing noise-canceling earplugs — these are gonna be great if you still wanna hear the overhead announcements but would rather not be stuck drowning in white noise the entire flight.
An inflatable wedge pillow to give you some personal space (albeit, minimal) and help you sleep soundly even when you're stuck in the middle seat.
A bottle of melatonin sleep gummies for travelers who have high anxiety up in the air and would far rather be dreaming than dreading upcoming turbulence.
A travel Poo-Pourri that's small, subtle, and ready to save you from feeling down in the ~dumps~ when you really need to use the airplane toilet and know there's a line of people outside who are trying not to think about why you're taking so long.
A Burt's Bees travel pack with just about everything your skin is gonna need on your next flight (hand lotion, body lotion, lip balm, and a foot cream). That recirculated air is gonna try and do a number on your skin, but you're gonna be ready!
An anti-nausea pack with 14 pressure point pads and a pair of wristbands that just might save you from ralphing up your complimentary in-flight meal.
And finally, a tin of perky mints with a strong taste that'll distract stressed-out travelers, freshen your breath, and keep you in ~mint~ condition the entire time you travel.

Drake And His Fans Have A 'F**k Kendrick' Moment At Wireless Festival

Drake took the stage on Saturday (July 12), for night two of the 2025 Wireless Festival in London, where fans at Finsbury Park made their allegiance loud and clear. Mid-performance, the crowd broke out into a chant of 'f**k Kendrick,' and instead of ignoring it, Drake embraced the moment. Turning to his longtime friend and security lead Chubbs, he responded, 'Grab me a shot. I'll drink to that.' The moment came shortly after Drake challenged the audience to 'name another artist' who could match his performance level — doubling down on his position in the ongoing rap battle between himself and K. Dot. Kendrick wasn't the only one to catch shade during Drake's set. The Toronto native also appeared to send a subtle message to NBA legend LeBron James by switching up the lyrics to his 2018 hit 'Nonstop.' Instead of the original line: 'How I go from 6 to 23 like I'm LeBron?' he rapped, 'How I go from 6 to 23, but not LeBron,' hinting at tension in their once-close friendship. The lyrical switch-up follows speculation sparked by Drake recently covering up his LeBron tattoo and replacing it with new ink honoring NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. After delivering an R&B-focused set on Friday (July 11), Drizzy shifted gears on Saturday with a London-themed performance that celebrated the U.K.'s rap scene. He brought out British rap heavyweights Skepta, Central Cee, and Dave, and made a bold declaration about London's place in Hip-Hop. 'Nobody can out-rap London — nobody,' he declared to the crowd. 'No disrespect to America. No disrespect to my country. But nobody can out-rap London rappers. This is the best. This is the highest level. This is what I aspire to be.' Drake headlined all three nights of this year's Wireless Festival July 11-13, which celebrated its 20th anniversary. Mosquito Supper Club Chef Expands With Quaint New Restaurant

is an award-winning food and travel writer living in New Orleans. Her work has appeared in Atlas Obscura, The Local Palate, and the Los Angeles Times. Saint Claire, from chef Melissa Martin, opens in Algiers Point Chef Melissa Martin, best known for her Uptown tasting menu-centric Mosquito Supper Club and a duo of James Beard Award-winning cookbooks, has expanded with the June 26 opening of the country French-themed Saint Claire in Algiers Point. Martin partnered with her friend Cassi Dymond to open Saint Claire. Dymond is co-founder of Maple Street's Satsuma Cafe and co-owner of Kalimera Construction, which specializes in dynamic restaurant build-outs, including Dakar NOLA, the Tell Me Bar, and N7. Located across the river, 15 minutes from the CBD, Saint Claire is situated in a historic 1920s home at the center of a cul-de-sac, surrounded by live oak trees, just steps from the Mississippi River levee. The restored building at 1300 Richland Road was once the medical officer's home on the site of Camp Algiers, an immigration center, and a WWII-era internment camp. Unlike Mosquito Supper Club, Saint Claire doesn't feature a prix fixe menu or communal dining. The opening menu features nods to seasonal vegetables and local seafood, including eggplant fritters with powdered sugar, smoked beets with trout roe, and farmed Brightside oysters from Grand Isle. There's a duck and andouille gumbo, gnocchi with crabmeat in a lemon beurre blanc sauce, and grouper with fried okra. Inside, the space is warm and inviting, with a palette of buttery yellow and soft blues, rustic French antiques, and mismatched porcelain plates and silverware. Candlelight flickers at Saint Claire, the welcoming country mouse to Mosquito Supper Club's city setting. Spicy Mango is now open on Frenchmen Street Larry Morrow, whose goal is to have 'the largest Black-owned restaurant group in the country,' opened Morrow Hospitality's fifth restaurant in New Orleans on July 5. Morrow premiered Spicy Mango, a Creole-Caribbean fusion restaurant on the corner of Frenchmen Street and Esplanade Avenue during Essence Fest. The 200-seat restaurant exudes an island vibe, with its creative use of thatching, a dining room mango tree, and an expansive patio featuring a central fountain. Jordan Lindsey, the company's culinary director, created an irie menu with specialties like jerked chicken, crawfish beignets, and a mango-fueled island salad. Since he and his mother, Lenora Chong, opened their first restaurant, Morrow's, in 2018, the company's portfolio has grown to include Morrow Steak, Monday Restaurant and Bar, Sun Chong, and Spicy Mango, as well as two nightclubs, Hide/Seek and Treehouse. Thaihey has a stall at St. Roch Market Chef Orawin's 'Nim' Yimchalam now has a Thaihey presence at the St. Roch Market. Yimchalam, who operates Thaihey at 308 Decatur Street with her husband Nathan Greene, now serves a menu of not the usual Thai dishes, like nam khoa tod, a crispy rice ball spiced with red curry, Thai herbs, and chunks of salami. The Thai sloppy Joe, a loose meat sandwich on a bun, bright with Thai basil, is a craveable new classic. Her expansion into the St. Roch Market brings her full circle— the chef's first location was at the now-shuttered White Star Market in Baton Rouge. Cajun Flames becomes the second LUFU The short-lived Cajun Flames restaurant from the team behind LUFU in the CBD, is now the Indian restaurant's second location. The Cajun concept didn't fly, opening and closing within a year. Led by chefs Sachin Darade, Aman Kota, and Shan Samantray, the location that was formerly Saint John at 1117 Decatur Street will drill deeper into the regional Indian dishes popular at the original restaurant. LUFU, which stands for Let Us Feed U, opened July 3. Fur Bébe Café is perfect for the dog days of summer Fur Bébe Café is New Orleans's first dog cafe, located at 4826 Magazine Street, Uptown. When it comes to a theme, owner Barrett Cooper is like a dog with a bone. He knows how to create a mood — Cooper operated the atmospheric Double Dealer lounge at the Orpheum. This cafe's theme is ever-present, from the bone-shaped door handle to the menu of dog treats and hilarious AI-generated dog art hung at pooch level. Of course, there's a menu for humans too, a deep coffee program along with doggy named bites like the Corgi Cobb salad and the Catahoula toast topped with blueberry compote, lemon ricotta, and mint. The dog- and family-friendly spot includes a shaded side patio with plans for an off-leash play area in the near future.

Las Vegas isn't exactly a city synonymous with family friendly fun, but a new venture from the Palms Casino Resort is looking to bring some good, clean fun to Sin City. The Palms launched the first-ever 'UNO Social Club' in Vegas this past weekend,, and there are plans for more locations to launch across the U.S. later this year, according to Mattel, which owns UNO. 'We created UNO Social Clubs to reimagine what game night can be—bringing people together for real-world fun, connection, and a bit of friendly competition,' Ray Adler, Vice President and Global Head of Games at Mattel told Newsweek. 'The UNO Social Club in Las Vegas is just the beginning, and we're excited to see how these new experiences inspire players to show up, play hard, and make unforgettable memories.' 3 A shot from the Uno Social Club. @uno/Instagram The Palms, which is located off the strip in Vegas, turned its Kingpin Suite into a UNO-themed paradise, complete with colorful decor and a private bowling alley. UNO noted on Instagram that the games were not placed on the casino floors directly, despite some rumors. 3 A look at the Uno Social Club. @uno/Instagram 'We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but the casino floor isn't ready for us yet,' the account wrote. 'We've been told that while they do have tight security, it's not robust enough for UNO at this time.' UNO, which was invented by a barber named Merle Robbins in 1971 and was acquired in 1992 by Mattel, the second-largest toymaker in terms of revenue (behind Lego) has grown into one of the most successful brands in gaming over the last 30 years. 3 Uno is going to be bringing in newcomers to the casino in Las Vegas. Getty Images Mattel and the Palms are banking on the game's popularity to be strong enough to get people away from their kitchen tables and into brick-and-mortar UNO-inspired clubs. According to the Palms, more UNO Social Clubs will pop up around the country later in 2025, using bars in major cities as hosts.
