UN expert: What's happening in Gaza is not war, it's genocide
She accused institutions and corporations of profiting from the destruction and targeting of civilians in Gaza, and called for urgent international action to halt support for what she described as an "economy of annihilation."
'Over the past 20 months, the Israeli army and settlers have destroyed vast areas of Palestinian land, while the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange continued to post profits,' Albanese said.
She added that genocide is being committed 'under the pretext of distributing humanitarian aid in Gaza,' and reiterated her calls for a global arms embargo on 'Israel' and the suspension of all trade agreements with it.
Albanese urged over 1,000 companies to cut ties with 'Israel' or face accountability, stating that 'the time has come for corporations involved in the economy of genocide to stop profiting at the expense of human rights.'
The UN official stressed that the only path forward is for states to abide by the standards set by the International Court of Justice (ICJ). She said entities participating in the economic support of the 'Israeli' campaign should have boycotted 'Israel' instead of continuing commercial relations.

‘Israeli' military outlines post-Gideon's Chariots plans
According to a report in Hebrew media, Israeli Occupation Forces' Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. announced that Operation Gideon's Chariots is steadily advancing toward its objectives in Gaza. Eyal Zamir has presented three potential courses of action for the period following the operation's completion, according to reports citing 'Israeli' security sources. The operation is expected to achieve its goals in the coming weeks, including control over approximately 75 percent of Gaza's territory and the objectives set by the political leadership for the military. The first option, considered the least desirable by senior military and security officials, is a full conquest of the Gaza Strip, effectively establishing a military government. This path poses significant operational risks, including the danger it would pose to captives still held in Gaza. The report stated that a full occupation would place immense pressure on both reserve and regular forces, as well as strain the IOF's logistical resources, especially ground forces. The second alternative cited by the report involves surrounding Gaza City and the central camps while shifting to a strategy of attrition. Under this approach, the IOF would carry out repeated aerial and ground raids on Gaza. The third alternative proposes an agreement for the release of captives combined with a ceasefire. According to the report, this option would allow the IOF to prepare for threats across all fronts and provide much-needed breathing room for both ground and air forces.

Ben-Gvir urges Netanyahu to reject US-backed Gaza deal
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has publicly urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to withdraw from the U.S.-backed captive deal proposal, which he referred to as the 'surrender framework.' In a post on X Saturday evening, Ben-Gvir called for a return to a 'framework of decisive victory' rather than accepting the current agreement under negotiation. 'The only path to decisive victory and the secure return of our hostages is the full conquest of the Gaza Strip, a complete halt to so-called 'humanitarian' aid, and the encouragement of emigration,' he wrote. Ben-Gvir emphasized that the true goal of the ongoing war is the collapse of Hamas. He criticized the proposed deal, saying it would stray from this goal and effectively 'reward terrorism.' He further warned that permitting large amounts of aid into Gaza risks 'resuscitating Hamas,' undermining efforts to defeat the group decisively. The statement highlights a sharp divergence within 'Israeli' leadership over the best approach to ending the war and securing captives held by Hamas.
