(Image: Robert Perry) In a video shared on Facebook he said: "I started hearing really weird noises like crackling noises like it was raining really heavily and I looked up and the building was looking weird so I ran across the street as it collapsed."
He continued: "I got a fright but obviously love getting caught up in the drama.
"I phoned the police of course. Because I've been watching 911 religiously I knew how to be concise and tell them exactly where it was and the postcode, there was no danger and all that.
"So the street is now completely full of fire engines and police and all sorts, so there you go. Mental."

There were no reported injuries as a result of the incident.
Pictures taken at the scene today show much of the building, which was already fenced off, has collapsed with only some of the outer walls still standing.

As a result of the collapse Kenmure Street is closed between Maxwell Road and Leslie Street while Albert Drive is closed between Keir Street and Glenapp Street until further assessments can be carried out.
Diversions will be signposted.

An SFRS spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 12.09am on Saturday, July 12 to reports of a collapsed derelict building on Kenmure Street in Glasgow.
"Operations control mobilised eight appliances to the scene.
"A number of nearby residents have been evacuated as firefighters work to make the area safe.
"There are no reported casualties."
(Image: Robert Perry) A spokesperson for Glasgow City Council said an inspection of the site will be carried out on Saturday.
Police Scotland are understood to be assisting with road closures.

Tom Holland confirms 'massive' Spider-Man filming plans for Glasgow
Speaking in a recent interview with Flip Your Wig, the Hollywood actor said filming during the pandemic had previously limited their creative freedom — something he is keen to correct this time around. "It's going to feel like making Homecoming again ... a breath of fresh air," he said. Filming is due to begin on August 1, with Glasgow's city centre being transformed for a 'massive set piece', according to the movie star. Holland said about returning to the role: 'I'm obviously over the moon and so excited. 'Playing Spider-Man is like hanging out with an old pal, and I think we were really restricted with what we could do in the last movie. "We shot the entire film on stages. Now we're really going to lean into that old school filmmaking and shoot in real locations, which is why we're starting in Glasgow. "We are going to use the streets of Glasgow for this massive set piece that we are putting together.' (Image: PA) The production will cause significant disruption, with nearly 60 streets closed and widespread traffic, pedestrian and transport restrictions. Glasgow City Council has confirmed: Road closures Parking bans Bus and taxi lane suspensions Diversions around key commuter routes Pedestrian restrictions during active filming The shoot is expected to cause delays and congestion across the city for over two weeks, with residents and commuters urged to plan ahead and follow all signage and steward instructions. Spider-Man: Brand New Day – What We Know So Far Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (who did Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Spider-Man: Brand New Day picks up after the dramatic conclusion of No Way Home, where Peter Parker sacrificed his identity to save those he loves. Tom shared: "Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a fresh start. It is exactly that. "That's all I can say. "That's all I've been allowed to say, and I'm well over the hump of giving away spoilers. So don't you worry: I'm not going to do that today.'
