The story of Mighty Hoopla 2025, in 12 pictures – from Kesha to JADE to Ciara
With 30,000 fans in attendance, the thankfully rain-free weekend featured a joyful mix of LGBTQ performers and supportive allies.
There was also the usual balance of A-list names (one of last year's headliner was Nelly Furtado) and throwback cult favourites. (Daphne & Celeste were a coup!)
Here's Attitude's round-up of the weekend, starting with Saturday's best moments…

By the way, we highly recommend the following underrated gems from her discography: 'Beware of the Dog' and 'No More'.
She later pulled off one of the shocks of the festival by bringing Craig David (of all people!) on-stage to sing 'Too Little, Too Late' with her.
The 'Put the Needle On It' singer may not have mentored on Little Mix's series of The X Factor, but as fellow alumni of the show, the introduction felt like a full circle moment. The show is so far behind them now!

The star announced on stage that she's pregnant with her second child!
Last week, the 'Foundations' singer : 'I love Hoopla. It's the best. I've played it twice. I think it's the perfect place to do it. I think it is for this audience. It's needed, that voice. There's a gap in talking about this in pop culture. Yes, it's heavy in subject matter, but it will also feel really joyous to perform it, I think, and be this really fun, empowered, fiery moment.'
The pop icon is the latest in a string of high-profile names to headline the festival, following in the footsteps of Jessie Ware, Kelly Rowland, Chaka Khan and Cheryl. As well as old hits 'Tik Tok' and 'Your Love Is My Drug', the star performed recent material like 'BOY CRAZY' and 'JOYRIDE.'

A Work Friendship Evolves Into Love
When Lauren Nicole Noblitt began working as a hostess at Finka Table & Tap, a West Miami, Fla., restaurant owned by the chef Eileen Frances Andrade, she had never dated a woman. She identified as straight, although she admitted to being more attracted to women. She said she first saw her new boss sitting at the bar in October 2017 and was blown away. 'I couldn't believe Eileen was the owner because she looked super cool,' she said. Ms. Andrade, who came out in 2009, didn't look at Ms. Noblitt romantically because she was an employee. 'We really liked each other, but always socialized with other people and never acted on anything,' Ms. Andrade, 36, said. She is also the chef-owner of Amelia's 1931, a classic Latin restaurant with Asian influences in West Miami. Their solid friendship continued for about a year even after Ms. Noblitt, 27, switched to working as a hostess and server at Amelia's 1931. But things changed between them at Ms. Noblitt's 21st birthday party in September 2018. 'I ended up spending the night with Eileen,' Ms. Noblitt said. The next morning, the women were 'hung over' and craved a hearty meal. They felt bold enough to dine out publicly, feasting on tacos at Antojitos, a Mexican restaurant in Miami. 'Our hopes of keeping this attraction low-key until we were ready to share were thwarted when a co-worker walked in and busted us,' Ms. Andrade said. Ms. Noblitt had been attracted to Ms. Andrade for months, but wasn't quite ready to act on it. 'I was very Christian and wanted to marry a man, have a white picket fence, and a typical American marriage,' Ms. Noblitt said. 'Botched' Dr. Terry Dubrow On Raising 3 LGBTQ Kids: This Is What We're Supposed To Do
Dr. Terry Dubrow and his wife Heather Dubrow encounter a ton of drama on their reality shows (E!'s 'Botched Presents' and Bravo's 'Real Housewives of Orange County,' respectively), but at home, the parents of four seem tightly aligned on their values. 'We have such a rainbow of kids," Terry told E! News in a June 29 interview. He said he tells his wife, "'We were chosen for it. That's what we're supposed to do with our platform.' The pair are raising 21-year-old Nick and his twin sister Max (who came out as bisexual during the pandemic), 18-year-old Kat (who said she was a lesbian in the family group chat) and 14-year-old Ace (who Heather shared was transgender two years ago). 'If we can change hearts and minds by showing how our version of a normal, supportive family can be, we're in,' Terry said. 'We try to be role models for these conversations, and that's the platform that Heather and I have been chosen to have and to put out there. And we're honored.' The couple has been open with sharing their lives and their parenting style. Terry offered some advice to other parents who want to be similarly supportive of their children's lifestyle choices. 'Act like there are cameras around and that you're going to be held accountable for the way you act,' he said. 'That immediately removes all of your preconceived douchiness you might have.' Not sure where to start? Simply "give your kids a supportive, loving environment," he said. His wife agreed. "One of my biggest desires in being a parent was to create a home where my kids could open up to me about their feelings," she told in June 2024. "I think that's why I don't have any dramatic coming-out stories to share about my kids. With all of them, it was just a normal, ongoing conversation. There was never a big moment." Terry noted that keeping an open mind is vital. 'You may have your biases and your preconceived notions, but it ain't about you, it's about them, and they live in a completely different world than you grew up in,' Terry told E! News.
