The story of Mighty Hoopla 2025, in 12 pictures – from Kesha to JADE to Ciara
With 30,000 fans in attendance, the thankfully rain-free weekend featured a joyful mix of LGBTQ performers and supportive allies.
There was also the usual balance of A-list names (one of last year's headliner was Nelly Furtado) and throwback cult favourites. (Daphne & Celeste were a coup!)
Here's Attitude's round-up of the weekend, starting with Saturday's best moments…
We're actually beyond bringing up that previous infamous festival appearance of theirs now. Respect to them!
By the way, we highly recommend the following underrated gems from her discography: 'Beware of the Dog' and 'No More'.
She later pulled off one of the shocks of the festival by bringing Craig David (of all people!) on-stage to sing 'Too Little, Too Late' with her.
The 'Put the Needle On It' singer may not have mentored on Little Mix's series of The X Factor, but as fellow alumni of the show, the introduction felt like a full circle moment. The show is so far behind them now!
Here's an excerpt from our review, which you can read in full here: 'Adele-level charisma, a JK Rowling call-out, club-ready visuals Charli XCX would approve of, and best of all, a truly powerhouse voice – Jade Thirlwall's set was an unignorable statement of star power, and possibly the most exciting moment Hoopla has ever seen.'
The superstar also performed hits like 'Goodies', 'Oh' and 'Like a Boy'.
Just as she did in her Attitude cover shoot last year.
We approve!
The star announced on stage that she's pregnant with her second child!
Last week, the 'Foundations' singer : 'I love Hoopla. It's the best. I've played it twice. I think it's the perfect place to do it. I think it is for this audience. It's needed, that voice. There's a gap in talking about this in pop culture. Yes, it's heavy in subject matter, but it will also feel really joyous to perform it, I think, and be this really fun, empowered, fiery moment.'
The pop icon is the latest in a string of high-profile names to headline the festival, following in the footsteps of Jessie Ware, Kelly Rowland, Chaka Khan and Cheryl. As well as old hits 'Tik Tok' and 'Your Love Is My Drug', the star performed recent material like 'BOY CRAZY' and 'JOYRIDE.'

A Work Friendship Evolves Into Love
When Lauren Nicole Noblitt began working as a hostess at Finka Table & Tap, a West Miami, Fla., restaurant owned by the chef Eileen Frances Andrade, she had never dated a woman. She identified as straight, although she admitted to being more attracted to women. She said she first saw her new boss sitting at the bar in October 2017 and was blown away. 'I couldn't believe Eileen was the owner because she looked super cool,' she said. Ms. Andrade, who came out in 2009, didn't look at Ms. Noblitt romantically because she was an employee. 'We really liked each other, but always socialized with other people and never acted on anything,' Ms. Andrade, 36, said. She is also the chef-owner of Amelia's 1931, a classic Latin restaurant with Asian influences in West Miami. Their solid friendship continued for about a year even after Ms. Noblitt, 27, switched to working as a hostess and server at Amelia's 1931. But things changed between them at Ms. Noblitt's 21st birthday party in September 2018. 'I ended up spending the night with Eileen,' Ms. Noblitt said. The next morning, the women were 'hung over' and craved a hearty meal. They felt bold enough to dine out publicly, feasting on tacos at Antojitos, a Mexican restaurant in Miami. 'Our hopes of keeping this attraction low-key until we were ready to share were thwarted when a co-worker walked in and busted us,' Ms. Andrade said. Ms. Noblitt had been attracted to Ms. Andrade for months, but wasn't quite ready to act on it. 'I was very Christian and wanted to marry a man, have a white picket fence, and a typical American marriage,' Ms. Noblitt said. 'But I accepted being gay after my slow romantic progression with Eileen.' Want all of The Times? Subscribe.

'Botched' Dr. Terry Dubrow On Raising 3 LGBTQ Kids: This Is What We're Supposed To Do
Dr. Terry Dubrow and his wife Heather Dubrow encounter a ton of drama on their reality shows (E!'s 'Botched Presents' and Bravo's 'Real Housewives of Orange County,' respectively), but at home, the parents of four seem tightly aligned on their values. 'We have such a rainbow of kids," Terry told E! News in a June 29 interview. He said he tells his wife, "'We were chosen for it. That's what we're supposed to do with our platform.' The pair are raising 21-year-old Nick and his twin sister Max (who came out as bisexual during the pandemic), 18-year-old Kat (who said she was a lesbian in the family group chat) and 14-year-old Ace (who Heather shared was transgender two years ago). 'If we can change hearts and minds by showing how our version of a normal, supportive family can be, we're in,' Terry said. 'We try to be role models for these conversations, and that's the platform that Heather and I have been chosen to have and to put out there. And we're honored.' The couple has been open with sharing their lives and their parenting style. Terry offered some advice to other parents who want to be similarly supportive of their children's lifestyle choices. 'Act like there are cameras around and that you're going to be held accountable for the way you act,' he said. 'That immediately removes all of your preconceived douchiness you might have.' Not sure where to start? Simply "give your kids a supportive, loving environment," he said. His wife agreed. "One of my biggest desires in being a parent was to create a home where my kids could open up to me about their feelings," she told in June 2024. "I think that's why I don't have any dramatic coming-out stories to share about my kids. With all of them, it was just a normal, ongoing conversation. There was never a big moment." Terry noted that keeping an open mind is vital. 'You may have your biases and your preconceived notions, but it ain't about you, it's about them, and they live in a completely different world than you grew up in,' Terry told E! News. 'We all know the right thing to do. We all know the right way to act with our kids.' This article was originally published on

Meet Out's Most Eligible Bachelorexes of 2025
;; Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic River Gallo; Holmes; Kehlani It's once again time for Out's Most Eligible lists! We've already brought you our list of 2025's Most Eligible Bachelors and Bachelorettes, but what about all the they/thems, she/theys, he/theys, and other nonbinary and gender nonconforming hotties? These queer, nonbinary luminaries inspire us to be our best selves. Here are our love letters to 2025 list of Most Eligible Bachelorexes. - YouTube We like you, Kehlani, like we like our honey! We've been getting down to your music for a decade now, Kehlani, and we'll never get enough! From your collaborations and guest spots on other artists' songs to your original R&B, we've had your music in constant rotation for most of our adult lives. Thank you for providing us with some of the sexiest songs of the decade, including "After Hours," "Next 2 U," "1st Position," and your newest single, "Folded." Whenever one of your songs comes on, we know the temperature is going up! We also remember when you teamed up with Lesbian Jesus Hayley Kiyoko for the "What I Need" single and video, giving sapphic music fans one of the hottest and most memorable collabs in music history! We also love your politics, Kehlani. You're always one of the first ones to speak up when you see injustice in the world, and even when you're attacked for your beliefs, you never back down. We'd love to worship at your "Altar," let us light the candles and call your name! Holmes, is anyone in the world as funny as you? We were already huge fans thanks to your work on Welcome to Flatch, as the hilarious, big-hearted, and overly confident Kelly. Then, this year, you showed up in two of our favorite shows, Hacks and Overcompensating, and we fell head over heels! You brought so much chaotic energy to the college world of Overcompensating as Hailee, Carmen's unhinged roommate. Hailee's always ready to pump up her girlfriends, she's always down to party, and she's willing to drop everything if Carmen needs her. All of her lines are iconic, and each line read is legendary. She's exactly the kind of college bff we could all use! And Holmes, you're exactly the kind of comedian and actor that makes us fans. River, what can we say other than thank you? Thank you for raising awareness about intersex issues through your advocacy and art. Thank you for never backing down about your life and identity. Thank you for blessing us with the genius with Ponyboi. You wrote and starred in the 2024 film that shines a light on intersex stories. And yours is one of the best performances of the year. As a sex worker on the run from the mob and trying to find love and community, you blew us away. No cap, we think Ponyboi is a better movie than Anora, and we think your performance is just as good as Mikey Madison's. We see an Oscar in your future! You're also so charming, funny, and smart in every interview we watch with you, and we'd love to sit down with you over coffee and hear your stories. Call us? From Glee to Broadway and film and TV roles like Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist and Another Simple Favor, we love every time we see you, Alex! Back when we first met you on The Glee Project and then Glee, we were blown away by your voice, your presence, and your power. Now that we've had the opportunity to see you grow into your whole self, we are truly stunned. When you show up in Shucked singing about being independently owned and operated, you make us all want to be the best women we can be! In 2023, you made history as one of the first two nonbinary actors to win a Tony Award, and we know you've got more wins in your future! We'd love to stand by you, Alex! Amandla, we've been fans since you starred in one of our favorite teen series, The Hunger Games, and we've only become bigger fans as your career has progressed! As a teen, you came out as both nonbinary and queer, inspiring young people everywhere, and helping young Black queer people to feel less alone in the world. When you starred in The Hate U Give and Dear Evan Hansen, we got a new taste of just how talented you are, but it was in your roles in the party horror film Bodies Bodies Bodies and the Star Wars show The Acolyte that solidified your place in our hearts. We love the queer energy you brought to the Star Wars universe as twins Osha and Mae, making us look at Jedi and the Force in a whole new way. We can't wait to see what you do next! Lily Gladstone, we're still mad you didn't win the Oscar for Killers of the Flower Moon! We love Emma Stone, but your stoic and powerful performance as Mollie Burkhart stole the show from acting legends like Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro. You also blew us away in other films like Certain Women and First Cow from Kelly Reichardt, and we adored you as the cool lesbian auntie helping her niece in Fancy Dance. You appeared in just two episodes of Reservation Dogs and blew us away with your immense talent. You left us sobbing as Hokti, Daniel's imprisoned mother. Watching you help Willie Jack connect with her ancestors in the episode "Offerings" was one of the most powerful things we've ever seen on TV. You also starred in Under the Bridge as a queer cop investigating the murder of a teen girl opposite Riley Keough, and we were mesmerized. This year, in The Wedding Banquet, you showed us a new model for queer families and made us laugh, cry, and cheer. We know you'll get that Oscar soon! Anania, you ping our Gaydars! We love you, Anania. We love your fashion, makeup, and beautiful smile. We love your voice, your laugh, and your sense of humor. And we love your show, Gaydar! Your interviews with queer celebs are some of the funniest on the internet and have the bonus of being genuinely educational about the queer community and queer history! Whether you're asking Reneé Rapp and Chappell Roan how many famous lesbians they can name, asking the Governor of Michigan for gay bar recommendations, or asking Lucy Dacus to do gay math, you have us transfixed! And we have to thank you for letting us know which of our fav queeer celebs are secretly homophobes! How else would we know? We never tire of hearing your voice, seeing your face, or learning from you, Anania. Please keep it up! P.S. We believe your theory that Prince was a he/him lesbian! My Bike Needs Oil…….. 🖤🚲🖤🎶🚲🖤🎶🚲🫶 This is me teasing my song… Coming soon. (Far out I think yall gonna love) #fyp #newmusic #mybikeneedsoil #caitle #emo #goth # This year, sapphics around the world discovered they had a new type when they saw you, Caitlin Cunningham! With your cool tattoos, emo makeup, sexy haircut, and fierce fangs, you have queers from Austraila to America losing it! We love a tall girl, and at 6'4", we love looking up to you! As a player in Australia's WNBL, you staged an inspiring comeback when you returned to basketball during the COVID-19 pandemic after years away from the game. Your hard work and tenacious attitude have shown us that we can pursue all our dreams! Now, you're making even the most committed non-sports fan want to watch a game! You're awesome (and intimidating!) makeup during games brings a new meaning to "in the paint!" And we love the way you continue to be your most authentic self off the court as a model, singer, and fashion icon. You're the GOAT (Goth of All Time), Caitlin, we'd love to play some one-on-one with you sometime!
