Lauren Sánchez becomes Mrs. Bezos in elegant Venice wedding with conservative dress departing from usual style
Lauren Sánchez is officially Mrs. Bezos.
On June 27, Amazon mogul Jeff Bezos and Sánchez tied the knot at San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy, with a star-studded guest list.
On Friday, Sánchez updated her Instagram account to read "Lauren Sánchez Bezos," after saying, "I do" to the Amazon founder. She also shared the first look at her wedding gown on Instagram.
"06/27/2025," she captioned her post, adding a red heart. Sánchez also debuted her wedding gown on the cover of Vogue.
Her Dolce & Gabbana dress was a mermaid-style lace gown, with sheer long sleeves and a high neckline. She told Vogue in her cover story that she felt "like a princess."
Sánchez's inspiration behind her wedding gown was the look Sophia Loren wore while marrying Cary Grant in the 1958 movie "Houseboat."
"It went from 'I want a simple, sexy modern dress' to 'I want something that evokes a moment,' and where I am right now. I am a different person than I was five years ago," she told the outlet.
Sánchez acknowledged that her wedding gown was more conservative than the revealing looks she's worn in the past.
"It is a departure from what people expect," she said, adding, "from what I expect—but it's very much me."
Sánchez said she was expecting her now-husband to be surprised.
"Yes. I think he will be pleasantly surprised. I think he's going to be so happy. I mean, it's so elegant, it's timeless," she said.
Sánchez explained that her wedding to Bezos "is extremely intimate," and 70 of the 200 guests are family.
"She wants to do a very classic and elegant wedding," designer Stefano Gabbana told the outlet. "She didn't want to do something very flashing or bling bling."
Sánchez also told the outlet she isn't sticking to some traditional wedding rituals.
"We don't have a lot of traditions that we're keeping. I mean, I love traditions, but for a 55-year-old woman, it's a little different," she said.
She did bring something blue to her big day.
"Well, Blue Origin. It's something from my space flight," Sánchez told the outlet.
She explained to Vogue that during her recent trip to space, she brought a secret souvenir so she could bring Bezos something back "because it was literally one of the most profound experiences I've ever had in my life. Seeing Earth from space, I came down and I couldn't describe it. It was the greatest experience I've ever had. Jeff said, 'It's gonna change you more than you think,' and it completely has, visually, spiritually," she said.
During the interview, the former journalist explained the impact her now-husband has had on her life.
"I went into a lot of therapy and it's changed me in a bunch of ways. But it's really Jeff," she said with a pause. "Jeff hasn't changed me. Jeff has revealed me. I feel safe. I feel seen. He lets me be me. Like I said about Sophia Loren being unapologetically free, he lets me be unapologetically free."
Sánchez revealed that her two sons, Nikko and Evan, walked her down the aisle. Her daughter, Ella, was her maid of honor and delivered a reading during the wedding ceremony. All three of her kids, whom she shares with her ex-husband Patrick Whitesell, were wearing Dolce & Gabbana for her wedding.
Sánchez did some prep before her big day. While speaking to Vogue, she explained that she lost three and a half pounds before the ceremony on June 27 and cut out alcohol and salt in the weeks leading up to it.
"I like food!" she explained. "Food is such a big part of life. I'm Latin! Some people meditate, I work out. It's something Jeff and I do every morning. We have our coffee, we talk about whatever's going on, and then we go to the gym."
Sánchez couldn't be happier that she gets to spend the rest of her life with Bezos, she told Vogue.
"More than the dress, I'm happy that I'm getting married and I get to spend my life with my best friend, someone who sees me, someone who adores me, someone who I adore. I am the luckiest woman on the planet."

Leonardo DiCaprio Suffers Epic Disguise Fail at Bezos Wedding
Academy Award winner Leonardo DiCaprio is in attendance at the wedding of the year, but it appears he'd rather you didn't know that. The 50-year-old was photographed at Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's wedding in Venice, Italy, alongside his Italian supermodel girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, 27, who was not in disguise. In the photos, Leo, who is otherwise in black tie attire, sports a black Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap pulled incredibly low, almost entirely covering his eyes. Unfortunately for Leo, a baseball cap is no match for eagle-eyed fans and paparazzi. Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted arriving at Venice airport ahead of Jeff Bezos' wedding (June 26, 2025).📸 More photos: — Leonardo DiCaprio Fan (@dicapriofans) June 27, 2025 The actor is no stranger to attempting to go incognito—he was photographed arriving in Venice for the wedding once again dressed in all-black, with a hoodie, baseball cap, and mask obscuring much of his face. Fans on social media were quick to roast Leo for his botched attempt at a disguise, with many wondering why exactly he was so eager to cover up. Several wondered if he was embarrassed to be spotted attending the wedding of such controversial figures as Bezos and Sánchez, particularly considering his track record as an environmental activist. One X user wrote, 'Why is Leonardo DiCaprio still pretending to be this Hollywood climate activist and then he goes to Jeff Bezos' wedding and is on a yacht every week. What a fake frau[d]ster,' while a fan on Instagram wrote, 'For someone who loves the environment I'm pretty shocked he was at this wedding.' Venice residents, who have been protesting the wedding for weeks, are upset at the potential for disruption in the already overwhelmed city, as well as the presence of Bezos himself. Last week, protesters unfurled signs over the Rialto Bridge that read, 'NO SPACE FOR BEZOS,' while another showed Bezos with a red X over his face. At another protest earlier this week, activists took over the Piazza San Marco with a sign that read, 'IF YOU CAN RENT VENICE FOR YOUR WEDDING YOU CAN PAY MORE TAX.' Venice has been struggling with the issue of overtourism for years, and city authorities have attempted to alleviate some of the burden by implementing a tourist tax, though critics have argued the tax is insufficient. DiCaprio has spent much of his career advocating for environmental causes as both an individual and on behalf of the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, which has supported more than 200 projects in 50 countries since 1998. He has also produced several documentary films about the climate crisis, including The 11th Hour and Before the Flood. The actor's commitment to environmental causes is what makes his attendance at the wedding so strange to some fans, considering both the wedding's environmental impact—on top of everything else, several guests arrived on private jets—and Bezos' own track record, which is murky at best. A 2022 report found that Amazon, the company Bezos founded in 1994 and of which he is still executive chairman, drastically undercounts its own carbon footprint. Other analyses have found that Amazon generated 599 million pounds of plastic packaging waste in 2020 alone, contributing significantly to pollution, particularly of the world's oceans. Other environmental activists have honed in on Bezos for the role he has played in accelerating climate change. In 2023, a group called Amazon Employees for Climate Justice published an open letter titled, 'Amazon is failing its own Climate Pledge,' ahead of an organized walkout. In it, the group criticized their employer for failing to meet the standards set by the Climate Pledge announced by Bezos in 2019. At the time, Bezos said of the decision to make the pledge, 'We're done being in the middle of the herd on this issue—we've decided to use our size and scale to make a difference.' Four years on from the pledge, Amazon's emissions had increased by 40 percent, and it had abandoned commitments like the Shipment Zero pledge to make half of all shipments net-zero carbon by 2030. In his acceptance speech at the Academy Awards for Best Actor for his role in The Revenant, DiCaprio told the crowd, 'Climate change is real, it is happening right now.' 'It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating.'

There Are New Reports On Justin And Hailey Bieber's Alleged "Rocky" Marriage After Justin's Troubling Social Media Posts
It sounds like things aren't going so good between Justin and Hailey Bieber. As you know, there's been talk about the pair's relationship for months – years even — but things recently intensified following a series of cryptic posts from Justin, including one venting about relationships and another about getting the silent treatment. The posts notably came after he faced huge backlash for his public treatment of Hailey, including his underwhelming response to her summer Vogue cover, his short reaction when her makeup brand, Rhode, made a billion-dollar beauty deal with e.l.f. Cosmetics, and his "vile" Mother's Day post, which partly said, "mothers day sucks ass." While neither Justin nor Hailey has addressed the latest round of speculation, a source tells Entertainment Tonight that "things have been rocky" between the couple. Related: You Have Excellent Facial Recognition If You Can Recognize These 12 Celebrities As Kids "Justin has been super moody," the source said, "and they've had a lot of unpleasant conversations and arguments." That apparently includes "fights about simple things like what they're having for dinner," which has reportedly made Hailey feel "drained." Related: Courtney Stodden Did A Face Reveal After Dissolving Her Fillers And She Looks Really Different Now "Hailey has been frustrated by Justin's antics on Instagram ... and feels unsupported by him," the source shared. Another thing that she's reportedly found "upsetting" about Justin, who's been on hiatus since his 2021 album, Justice, is his "lack of motivation." But she's not the only one with alleged issues in the marriage. Justin reportedly has his qualms, too. The source said, "Justin has been getting irritated easily and feels like Hailey can be superficial about the way their relationship looks in the public eye." Reps for Hailey and Justin didn't immediately return BuzzFeed's request for comment, but Hailey previously shared that the majority of the news about her is "not real." "And that's the thing," she told Vogue. "I have a real life. My real life is that I get to wake up to my beautiful family and my son and my friends and I have people that know me and love me and I love them." Meanwhile, Justin told the outlet that "the smartest thing I've ever done was marry Hailey." "I'm walking in the days I always dreamed of," he said of becoming a husband and father to their 10-month-old son, Jack. I hope everything is OK with the two of them! We'll see if either of them comments on the report. The mystery of the paedophile who hired out Disneyland
When it emerged that last weekend a convicted paedophile had organised a fake wedding to a nine-year-old at Disneyland Paris, many people were perplexed. Who would do such a thing? How was it even possible? The BBC understands it was the latest bizarre stunt by Jacky Jhaj – a British man I have been investigating for two years. He first came to my attention after a tip off from a teenage girl came out of the blue in 2023. She was horrified that she had come face to face with a paedophile who she had been hired to fawn over. She was too terrified of him to go on the record - but I tracked down a number of aspiring actors who had also been directed to scream at Jhaj while he was parading down a red carpet, and reach out to try and touch him. In all, 200 children and young women had been recruited by reputable casting agencies to play Jhaj's fans at a fake film premiere in London's Leicester Square that year. Some were as young as six. Towards the end of the event someone recognised Jhaj - who had previously been found guilty of sexual activity with two 15-year-olds in 2016 and sent to prison. The fake red carpet was one of a litany of stunts he has organised since his release which often involve casting girls as his fans. All have been organised at great expense, while he was on the Sex Offenders Register and subject to restrictions on his activities. For the mock-wedding at Disneyland Paris a nine-year-old Ukrainian girl was flown in to play his bride. The theme park can be privately rented outside of its opening hours and actors had been booked at great cost to be there – one received £10,000. The BBC understands that Jacky Jhaj, 39, who is from west London, has now been charged by French authorities in connection with organising the event. Over the past two years I've set out to try and understand how he has been able to carry out these stunts and why there are not more stringent rules preventing them. Many have taken place at high profile British landmarks – including the British Museum, the Royal Exchange in London and the University of Oxford. They also typically involve young people being hired to act as his fans in elaborate productions. Videos of some of them were uploaded to a YouTube channel which was watched more than six million times and had 12 million subscribers. Many remained on YouTube for years until last September, when the BBC alerted Google, which owns the platform. A video on a separate channel showed him next to one of the victims he was convicted of sexual activity with – with her face anonymised. It had remained on YouTube for four years with more than a million views. Google told the BBC at the time that it takes users' safety seriously but offered no explanation as to how an account featuring a man with almost no profile or success had 12 million subscribers, or why the videos had not been previously removed. Clips on social media sites appear to cast Jhaj as a successful writer and singer and are often styled as music videos. Many are highly concerning - some feature him posing with young children and weapons. It is not clear if the guns are real or fake. Others revel in his infamy. In one, he is greeted by fans apparently celebrating his release from Wormwood Scrubs prison. I wanted to know how he had organised the stunts – and if he had received help. Over the past two years, I have spoken to videographers, production assistants and technicians who were hired for some of the events before they discovered Jhaj's real identity. One man repeatedly appears in videos they shared with me. We have been sent images and footage of him at three of the stunts by people who described him as assisting the choreographer hired for dance auditions, and apparently filming. At a different event last year, he was confronted by duped cast members who recognised Jhaj from our reports and showed him the online article. The cast members filmed him acknowledging that Jhaj is a convicted sex offender but he says he is his "friend" and is now "free". At this event Jhaj was filmed posing naked in front of a mocked-up BBC News lorry in London which had been set on fire. Jhaj had initially appeared there disguised by prosthetics – before he removed them and was identified as the man from our story. Preliminary findings from the French prosecutor also said that make-up artists had allegedly changed the organiser's facial features dramatically at the Disneyland event. How Jhaj funds his stunts - which involve extraordinary costs on venue hire, casts and props - is a mystery. One production hired a tank, while in another a mock police car was set on fire. The booking of Disneyland Paris alone would have cost more than €130,000 (£110,000), according to the French broadcaster BFMTV. I was also told that hiring the red carpet space that is the home of movie premieres in Leicester Square would have required tens of thousands of pounds. Jhaj was listed as a director of a business that was wound up in 2016 – but there is no other obvious source of money. I also wanted to know how he had been able to carry out these events while subject to a sexual harm prevention order. We have seen a copy of it. It lists ten restrictions on his activities – but does not appear to explicitly prohibit the stunts he had organised. The order restricts Jhaj from contacting his previous victims, entering public places for the use of children and deliberately contacting any girl under the age of 16. However, there is no blanket ban on hosting events with children under 16 if they are supervised – as was the case with the Leicester Square stunt, where some adults attended as chaperones. I also wanted to know who, if anyone, was responsible for monitoring convicted paedophiles. Following my first report, a police officer who helped monitor Jhaj rang me, asking for information on his movements. He said he was responsible for managing the whereabouts of dozens of offenders - and it was challenging work. The National Police Chiefs' Council advise that the minimum safe staffing levels at which paedophiles should be monitored is one officer to every 50 offenders. The Metropolitan Police's average offender management ratio was one officer to 40 offenders – well within the benchmark. I asked other forces what their ratios were and some never replied. But 10 out of 26 forces failed to meet this benchmark, according to Freedom of Information requests received last year. At one force, officers were responsible for monitoring 85 offenders each on average. Some forces defended their resourcing – arguing that these are advisory levels only and also dependent on risk assessments of offenders. But successfully managing 50 sex offenders is "impossible" according to Jonathan Taylor, a safeguarding expert and former child abuse investigator. "I feel so sorry for the officers", he says. "It's a poisoned chalice - one of the paedophiles will re-offend. This case also highlights concerns about a lack of safeguarding in entertainment and tech companies enabling these types of offenders." The BBC understands that Jhaj is currently detained in French custody. The local prosecutor there says the Ukrainian girl involved in Saturday's stunt had not been a victim of either physical or sexual violence and had not been forced to play the role of a bride. His statement also said Disneyland Paris had been "deceived" and that the organiser had used a fake Latvian ID to hire the venue. The BBC approached Disneyland Paris for comment - they did not respond. The Metropolitan Police said that a 39-year-old man is wanted by them for breaching restrictions placed on his activities, and is also separately being investigated for "any possible" fraud offences. Additional reporting by Alex Dackevych and Richard Irvine-Brown.
