Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes vows to shut critics as Tom Brady provides offseason guidance
Having come up short against the Philadelphia Eagles in February,
Patrick Mahomes
has been working quietly behind the scenes for redemption as the sports world wonders if the Kansas City Chiefs' dominance is coming to an end.
That talk, he concedes, hasn't escaped him—but he's poised to answer back the only way he knows how: by letting his game do the talking.
But he's not doing it alone—he's being assisted by seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady.
Tom Brady assists Patrick Mahomes in restarting before challenging schedule
The Kansas City Chiefs will begin the 2025
NFL
season against the Los Angeles Chargers and then enter a high-pressure rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles, who are quarterbacked by Jalen Hurts.
The first part of the season is filled with challenging games—something Patrick Mahomes is aware of but not afraid of.
Speaking with Kay Adams ahead of training camp, Mahomes made it clear that he's using the offseason doubts as fuel. 'I've had to sit back and just listen to people talk and talk. Let's just play football and handle it all out there,' he said.

That competitive mindset is being shaped in part by Tom Brady, who, despite his new roles with the Las Vegas Raiders and a soccer franchise, has carved out time to mentor Mahomes this offseason.
"I've talked to Tom a good amount this offseason, and it's cool that he wants to give me advice,' Mahomes said, suggesting that Brady's input has been pivotal in helping him mentally reset.
In the meantime, tight end
Travis Kelce
is all about football, even with a whirlwind of Hollywood rumors. As he gears up for potentially his last NFL season, Kelce has also made an appearance in Happy Gilmore 2, coming out on Netflix later this month. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, a long-time fan of the original, intends to rent a theater out for the team as a team-building experience.

With leadership at their best, a clear mind, and even mentorship from Tom Brady, the Kansas City Chiefs are most certainly not about to relinquish their crown quite yet.
