Hunter 2 Trailer: Jackie Shroff's Deadly Entry Ups The Stakes For Suniel Shetty's Vikram
The chase is back—and this time, it's personal. The trailer for Hunter Season 2 – Tootega Nahi Todega has officially dropped, and it brings with it a storm of action, drama, and emotion. At the grand trailer launch event held in Mumbai, Suniel Shetty and Jackie Shroff kicked things off quite literally by tearing through a life-sized poster of the show to make their way to the stage, setting the tone for what fans can expect from this explosive second season.
Adding to the adrenaline rush, action star Tiger Shroff made an unexpected entry at the launch. His surprise appearance electrified the room, as he came in support of the series and to cheer on the cast and crew.
The trailer teases an edge-of-the-seat showdown between Shetty's intense vigilante Vikram and Shroff's mysterious character, the Salesman. It also offers a glimpse into an emotionally charged narrative woven with high-impact action, dark secrets, and personal stakes. The ensemble cast includes Anusha Dandekar, Barkha Bisht, Anang Desai, Pramod Pathak, and Mazel Vyas.
Suniel Shetty, who returns as Vikram, reflected on the new season, 'Season 2 of Hunter – Tootega Nahi Todega digs deeper into Vikram's past, his pain, and what drives him. This trailer is just the tip of the iceberg. What I love most is how personal the action feels this time. It's not just about guns and chases—it's about what's at stake emotionally. And that emotional weight made every scene more intense. Launching the trailer in front of fans and the media gave us a real sense of how ready people are for this next chapter."
Jackie Shroff, who joins the series as the formidable antagonist, shared his take, 'Jumping into Hunter 2 – Tootega Nahi Todega was a wild ride. The world had its own vibe, and then this Salesman walks in and turns it all upside down. Playing him was like holding fire in your hands—calm, yet deadly. The trailer's out, Bhidus! Time to dive in and enjoy the ride!"
Speaking about the series, Amogh Dusad, Head of Content at Amazon MX Player, said, 'With Hunter 2 – Tootega Nahi Todega, we've scaled up every aspect of the storytelling. From the emotional depth and character arcs to the intense action and global canvas. Suniel Shetty's return and Jackie Shroff's entry take the narrative to a whole new level, creating a compelling face-off that's both personal and powerful. At Amazon MX Player, our focus remains on delivering stories that resonate emotionally while offering a high-impact viewing experience."
Siddharth Anand Kumar, Executive Vice President at Saregama India (Yoodlee Films), added, 'The response to Season 1 of Hunter showed us that audiences love edge-of-the-seat action when it's backed by heart. With Suniel Shetty returning as Vikram and Jackie Shroff stepping in as the enigmatic Salesman, Season 2 brings a powerful new energy to the story. This season dives deeper, hits harder, and delivers the kind of thrill that stays with you. At Saregama and Yoodlee Films, we're excited to continue building cinematic experiences that resonate with today's viewers, and our collaboration with Amazon MX Player allows us to reach audiences far and wide."
Directed by Prince Dhiman and Alok Batra, and produced by Yoodlee Films (the film division of Saregama India), Hunter 2 – Tootega Nahi Todega will be available to stream for free starting July 24 on Amazon MX Player. Hunter 2 Star Anusha Dandekar Says Jackie Shroff Makes You Laugh, Suniel Shetty Is A Prankster
Anusha Dandekar returns as an action hero in Hunter Season 2 with Suniel Shetty. She talks about her transformation, stunts, and camaraderie with Jackie Shroff. Anusha Dandekar makes a fierce comeback to screens with Hunter Season 2, where she steps into the shoes of a full-blown action hero. The series, led by Suniel Shetty, takes the stakes higher this time around. Interestingly, Anusha's gritty, gun-wielding role is one of the highlights. In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Anusha opened up about transforming into a female action star, matching Suniel Shetty's energy, doing her own stunts, and her off-screen camaraderie with the legendary Jackie Shroff. Tell us a bit about your character in Hunter Season 2. The trailer looks intense! I think it's really cool for female action personalities to come out. It's a great time to join that bandwagon. I don't think we have enough action girls as representatives, so I'm really happy to be one of them and I hope I do justice. I hope I make girls feel like they can kick some butt. And obviously, it's not easy being alongside somebody like Sunil Shetty, who's so good at what he does. My character, and me as a person, has to match that, right? My character has to be basically the female version of Vikram, which is Sunil Sir's character. So when I got told that, I'm like, okay, all right. The pressure and challenge is on and accepted. So I think I had a really good time doing it. Was this your first time handling guns on set? I've never touched a gun. When they put a gun in my hand, it felt so real. They gave me tips on like, when you shoot, you go backwards a little bit. I didn't know how to hold it, they showed me how to hold it and move it. It was pretty cool. I loved it. I've only held a gun once before — on holiday in Prague, at a shooting range — and it scared the hell out of me because it was so loud. But I actually did a good job there! View this post on Instagram A post shared by Anusha Dandekar (@anushadandekar) Did you miss your mark during takes? Like I said, I had to match the character and do everything in one take. So I didn't have time to miss my shot. I did it pretty good. I don't think I did more than like two takes, maybe three. Did you insist on doing your own stunts? I did all of them. Obviously they always had action doubles, but no, I wanted to do all of my own. So all of it is me." What was the most physically or emotionally challenging part of shooting? I think it was when I had to do kicks that I've never done before or slide on the floor. Sunil sir is so seasoned, he never makes contact with the stunt guys. But I didn't know how to calculate that. The stunt guys were so sweet, they were like, just make contact with us, it's okay. That really helped. There was a scene where Sunil sir grabs me, I walk along the wall and then kick someone in the head. One of the guys said, 'Just kick me, I have a lot of padding on.' They helped me get the timing right and let me punch and kick them. Did you end up hurting yourself or anyone else? No, I was hoping I didn't hurt them. I don't think I'm strong enough, but I didn't hurt myself either. I'm fine. What was the set environment like, working with Suniel Shetty and Jackie Shroff? Jackie sir makes you laugh. Suniel sir is a prankster on set. Don't be fooled by his very serious, demure face. He and his team are such pranksters. We had so much fun. I love stealing his food on set because he always has really yummy food. He is very generous. Jackie sir would make you laugh. They are just really kind people. They are not only inspiring but super encouraging. I really had such a fun time. I didn't feel like I was working." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Anusha Dandekar (@anushadandekar) As actors, how were they to work alongside on screen? So good. I think this is really great for Sunil sir as well because it's like a graph. Everybody knows he's fantastic in comedy and action and drama but he gets to do all of it in one. I think because he's such a family man, the emotions that he has with his daughter in this really shows. He becomes a badass and he's like kicking ass. It's a really cool graph to watch him do all of that and his personality is just like a cool guy anyway. And then Jackie sir, what can I say? He just gets into that character. They'll call action and suddenly you'll just see him with that whole personality just comes out. You're just watching like wow, this is so cool. To witness it close up and get to act alongside it — it's just super fun. Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive. Suniel Shetty under fire over ‘wife should take care of kids' comment
Actor Suniel Shetty has once again landed himself in controversy after making remarks about the division of responsibilities between husbands and wives. The actor implied that if a husband is focused on building his career, the wife should, in turn, take primary responsibility for raising the child, a view that has sparked considerable backlash on social an interview with Pinkvilla, Shetty said: "Aaj kal bachchon mein patience hai hi nahi. Shaadi kuch time ke baad ek samjhauta hota hai, where you have to understand each other, live for each other.' (These days, children have no patience. Marriage, over time, becomes a compromise where both partners must understand and support one another.)advertisementHe went on to add, "Phir ek bacchha aata hai, aur patni ko yeh jaanna zaruri hai ki husband career banayega toh bachche ko main dekh rahi hoon. Husband, of course, saath mein dekhega. Par aaj kal sab cheezon mein pressure bohot ho gaya hai.' (When a child arrives, the wife needs to realise that if the husband is focused on building his career, she should be the one to primarily care for the child. Of course, the husband will also be involved, but there's a lot of pressure in everything nowadays.) His comments haven't gone down well with fans, many of whom have expressed their disapproval on social media. One user remarked, 'He needs to stop talking,' while another wrote, 'Bhai apni image khud hee kharab kar raha hai (Brother is ruining his image himself) Sometimes being quiet is the wisest thing. Doesn't their PR team advise them? Or even people around them?'Others criticised his mindset as being out of touch, with one user commenting, 'Don't be fooled by his appearance or the roles he plays — Suniel is over 60 and shares the same outdated thinking as many from his generation, including his contemporaries.'Another person wrote, "After the whole 'natural birth warrior' saga, here he is again with a textbook example of male chauvinism. Honestly, he should just stop talking." One social media user even labelled the actor's comments as 'unacceptable.'Professionally, Suniel Shetty is currently appearing in 'Hunter 2' on Amazon MX Player, reprising his role as ACP Vikram Sinha, who sets out on a dangerous mission to rescue his kidnapped daughter.- EndsTrending Reel
