Along with die hard Oasis fans, celebrities turned up in the masses to see the iconic band return to the stage to sing 23 of their best loved tunes.
One person who made sure they were there was Noel's ex-wife Meg.
The former couple were married from 1996 before divorcing four years later.
The socialite, who he shares his beloved daughter Anais with, has been a big supporter of Oasis' comeback, so she was there to show her support on the tour's first night.
She was spotted arriving at the gig in Cardiff in "good spirits", as she took her seat with friends.
A source told The Mirror: "After posting about her ex-husband for weeks, Meg Mathews had a prime seat for watching the band.
"She was in great spirits before the set, watching Richard Ashcroft with pals."
However, after Oasis' two hour set the band came back with a three song encore which included Don't Look Back In Anger, Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova.
The Mirror reports that it was at this moment Meg decided to "walk out" and leave the gig.
Hardcore fans will remember that Noel actually wrote Wonderwall for Meg, when they were together.

Speaking about his then-girlfriend back in 1996, the rock said: "It's about my girlfriend, Meg Mathews.
"She had a company which folded and she was feeling a bit sorry for herself.
"The sentiment is that there was no point in her feeling down, she has to sort my life out for me because I'm in bits had the time."
GIG OF THE CENTURY
It's fair to say last night's Oasis comeback did NOT disappoint.
Fans were treated to performances by Cast, a Britpop band from Liverpool, and The Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft before the Gallagher brothers made their long awaited return to the stage.
Oasis proved they were worth the 16 year wait, playing a whopping 23 songs from their impressive back catalogue including Roll With It, Stand By Me, and Talk Tonight.
Before Cigarettes & Alcohol Liam dished out orders to the crowd, saying: 'I want you to do us a favour. I don't ask much.
'I want you to turn around, every single one of you
'Put your arms around each other like you like each other and when the tune starts you jump up and down.
'Its f***ing easy.'
After last night's gig, Oasis play another night in Cardiff before moving on to Heaton Park in their native Manchester for five nights.

Then the band heads to Wembley Stadium for five nights from July 25 and then on to Edinburgh and Dublin, with the first part of their UK leg ending at Croke Park on August 17.
Oasis then heads over Canada and America for gigs in Toronto, Chicago, LA and Mexico City before returning to London for two more dates at Wembley at the end of September.
They then move on to Asia, Australia and South America, finally ending their tour on November 23 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Queen Camilla's son reveals the common 'myth' about his mother that just isn't true

Tom Parker-Bowles has revealed the one big 'myth' about his mother Queen Camilla that just isn't true - and it's apparently a very common misconception. Queen Camilla's eldest child, 50, who is based in London, unveiled the truth about his mother in the podcast White Wine Question Time. He told host Kate Thornton that while King Charles 's wife is often pictured enjoying a glass of red wine at social engagements, he has 'never even seen her tipsy'. Parker-Bowles said there is a common 'myth' that Queen Camilla likes to 'knock back a gin and tonic with a cigarette'. However, the food critic said his mother 'doesn't drink gin'. She does, admittedly, 'enjoy a glass of red wine', Parker-Bowles says, insisting his mother is a 'sensible' drinker. He said he has never seen Queen Camilla tipsy - and she hasn't smoked for 20 years. Earlier in the podcast, Parker-Bowles revealed that not having a trust fund when he was younger 'probably' saved his life. He told Thornton that he had a trust fund and did not have to work for financial stability, his life would look very different. 'Sadly, no trust fund. You know, actually, it's a good thing not having a trust fund. I'd probably be dead if I'd had one,' Tom said candidly on the podcast's latest episode. He added, 'Obviously, I had to work like everyone. You know, you have to work. It's important. 'So, I stumbled somewhat into food writing, 25 years ago when the landscape was rather different.' Before falling for food writing, Tom worked various jobs, including a brief stint in PR. He recalled, 'I worked for a wonderful film PR company called DDA and they used to run Cannes and you'd be looking after talent.' 'So you'd be taking Alicia Silverstone round London in the '90s or Anna Friel or whatever. So it wasn't exactly the most arduous task for a straight man. It wasn't the most arduous of jobs, but I was always late.' 'I'm still friends with my bosses, Stacey and Dennis, and they're lovely people. But eventually, enough was enough. I got sacked… So anyway, I was sitting around thinking, you know, what the hell am I going to do? Tom later settled on food writing and is now a regular contributor to the Mail on Sunday and Country Life. It comes after Tom recalled the embarrassing gaffe he made when he met Queen Elizabeth II for the first time. The food critic was discussing his new book, Cooking & the Crown, which traces the history of royal culinary cuisine through the tastes and preferences of Britain's king and queens. Speaking to The Independent, Tom said the book was originally only going to include royal recipes and anecdotes between the reigns of Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II, giving him a 'degree of separation' since he had only met the late monarch twice. The first time was when he was eight, Tom recalled, adding: 'I was so scared that I curtsied rather than bowed.' When greeting the monarch or a member of the royal family, men traditionally bow their heads (a neck bow) while women do a small curtsy. The next time he would meet the late Queen would be on the occasion of Camilla's wedding to King Charles, when he and his sister Laura Lopes 'snuck out for a fag or something' and got lost in Windsor Castle.

Fearne Cotton's ex Jesse Wood makes first public appearance with Made In Chelsea girlfriend Gemma Gregory

FEARNE Cotton's ex husband Jesse Wood was all smiles as he made his first public appearance with his new girlfriend. The musician flashed a grin after he stepped out with Made In Chelsea alum Gemma Gregory for a VIP screening of movie Twiggy. 6 6 It came after the duo went Instagram official in April. Jesse, 48 – son of Rolling Stones legend Ronnie Wood – has been dating Gemma following the shock collapse of his 10-year marriage to Fearne last December. The duo posed alongside the model at the swanky event, with Gemma, 39, donning a chic cut-out dress and chain necklaces. Reef band member Jesse went for a casual look in a blue zip hoodie and black top, paired with dark trousers. Three months ago, Gemma went Instagram official with their budding relationship, sharing a loved-up snap of them cuddling in the sunshine. 'Bloody love this one,' she gushed, adding a red heart emoji over the snap. SAD SPLIT Fearne announced her split with Jesse on December 16 2024. A statement read: "It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know that Jesse and I are ending our marriage. "Our priority has been and always will be our children.' Fearne Cotton breaks silence on marriage split and she gives health update after surgery At the time, The Sun understood Jesse moved out while Fearne remained in the family home in West London. Earlier this year, Fearne admitted life was tough following her marriage breakdown. Yet The Sun previously revealed Fearne, 43, has found love again with TV director Elliot Hegarty. The Happy Place podcast presenter spoke about her split for the first time on ITV show Lorraine. Fearne said of their rowing antics: 'I am a very fiery person, and Jesse can also be quite fiery. We've certainly argued in front of the kids. Most parents have at some point. It's not regular but we have definitely had a pop at each other in front of them — and you don't feel good about it after. I've also shouted at my kids like I think most parents have, especially during lockdown." July 2024 - Fearne and Jesse celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary and appear happier than ever by taking part in a Beckham-esque photoshoot by donning their original wedding attire. 3rd December 2024 - Fearne shares her shock at finding two benign tumours on her jawline that require immediate surgery. 13 December 2024 - Just 10 days later, Fearne confirms her marriage is over and that she has split from Jesse for good. She insisted: 'I am good. I am really good. 'It's all very amicable and the kids are doing great. I am in a very good place.' She also revealed she feels 'completely recovered' after having two tumours removed from her jaw last year. 6 6 6

Oasis tour 2025: Confirmed Cardiff setlist and who is supporting?

Follow the latest on the Oasis reunion tour The wait is finally over. After 16 years, Oasis reunited last night for the first of two spectacular stadium shows in Cardiff, before embarking on a wider tour that takes in Manchester's Heaton Park, Wembley Stadium in London and Murrayfield in Edinburgh – as well as dates in cities from New York to Sydney and Buenos Aires later in the year. If you're one of the other 1.4 million lucky Britons (or a fan who has travelled around the world to see the first leg of the tour) who secured a ticket, here's our ultimate guide to the decade's most anticipated rock gigs: from all of the tour dates to which bandmates will be joining the Gallaghers on stage, the setlist and all of the confirmed support acts. Skip to What's on the setlist? Who's actually in the band? Who is supporting? Where to buy merch Our tips – from those who've been Ticket information Oasis tour: UK dates and locations Cardiff, Principality Stadium – July 4 and 5 Manchester, Heaton Park – July 11, 12, 16, 19 and 20 London, Wembley Stadium – July 25, 26 and 30; August 2 and 3; September 27 and 28 Edinburgh, Murrayfield Stadium – August 8, 9 and 12 What time are the bands on stage? At the first two dates in Cardiff, doors to the Principality Stadium will open at 17:00, with Cast on stage 18:00, Richard Ashcroft at 19:00 and Oasis at 20:15. The curfew is 22:30. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Oasis (@oasis) What's on the setlist? At the opening concert in Cardiff, the songs were as follows: Hello Acquiesce Morning Glory Some Might Say Bring It On Down Cigarettes & Alcohol Fade Away Supersonic Roll With It Talk Tonight Half the World Away Little By Little D'You Know What I Mean Stand By Me Cast No Shadow Slide Away Whatever Live Forever Rock and Roll Star The Masterplan Don't Look Back in Anger Wonderwall Champagne Supernova Who's actually in the band? The line-up consists of Liam and Noel Gallagher, Andy Bell on bass, Gem Archer and Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs on guitar with session players on drums and keyboard. Who is supporting? The band has been criticised for choosing well-established acts over less well-known up-and-comers, with some fans suggesting Oasis's tour could have provided a much-needed leg-up for fresh new talent. But the artists Oasis have selected should get the crowd fired up regardless: former The Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft will perform solo, as well as indie rock band Cast. Support on the US leg of the tour will come from Cage the Elephant. The dates at Manchester's Heaton Park are expected to start earlier than the ones in stadiums, leading to rumours the event could fling open its doors from earlier in the day and offer other, additional support acts. However, this has not yet been confirmed. Where to buy merch Yet to sort out your bucket hat, Adidas sweatshirt or band tee? Don't fear – to capitalise on demand, there will be numerous official pop-up shops across the country selling Oasis merchandise ahead of the tour. Pop-up stores can be found in Manchester (on The Avenue, Spinningfields), London (Carnaby Street), Cardiff, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Dublin, plus there are official merchandise stands outside and inside the gigs. Fans visiting the pop-up stores will be able to buy exclusive clothing, home accessories (everything from mugs, pint glasses and baby grows to Zippo lighters) and vinyl records. To gain entry, fans can either book an (advised) timed entry slot or queue. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Oasis (@oasis) The Gallagher brothers have also recently announced an exclusive partnership with clothing brand Adidas, consisting of jackets, shirts, T-shirts, sweatshirts, tracksuit bottoms and trainers. These can be purchased (by pre-order) on the official Adidas website as well as online retailer ASOS, plus from an official store in Manchester city centre. Be quick, though: many items have already sold out. Manchester has truly embraced the celebratory atmosphere, with a local Aldi supermarket transforming into 'Aldeh' in a riff on the Gallagher's accents. Our tips – from those who've been The shows are guaranteed to be rowdy, but just try to embrace it. Nobody knows exactly what the performance will entail, but you can count on a fair few pints of beer (and other fluids) being chucked over the crowd, so don't wear your fanciest clothes – comfortable walking shoes, a raincoat and a protective bucket hat are gig/festival staples for a reason. Plus, pack those earplugs: even if the music and speakers aren't too deafening, the screams from the excited crowd are bound to be. Get there early if you're standing and want to source a good spot and not-so-early if you're seated. Oasis will take to the stage in Cardiff at 20:15 with a strict curfew of 22:30. Exact timings for the other shows are yet to be confirmed, but gigs at Wembley Stadium and other similar-sized venues generally finish by 11pm, to conform to noise pollution rules, so expect a kick off of around 8.30pm from Oasis; support acts will start much earlier. The Manchester date, which is taking place outside in Heaton Park, looks set to be more of a day festival-style set-up. Ticket information Tickets for the UK tour sold out in minutes, but it is worth keeping an eye on sites such as Ticketmaster, See Tickets and Twickets for returns and resale tickets. Be careful of scams: unregulated websites purporting to have tickets will probably rip you off, and if you see an amazing bargain on social media, remember – if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Using PayPal to purchase tickets also adds another layer of protection: remember to mark the payment as 'Goods and Services' so the transaction is protected by the company's Buyer Protection Programme.
