Met Gala 2025: 15 best dressed celebrities on the red carpet

CNA06-05-2025
Every year, the Met Gala transforms the steps of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art into the most glamourous runway in the world. As fashion's biggest night out, it brings together a star-studded guest list of celebrities, designers and cultural icons who get dressed in extravagant ensembles according to the year's theme.

'I grew up watching him', says Ahn Hyo-seop on acting with Lee Min-ho in Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy , Entertainment News

South Korean actor Ahn Hyo-seop is making his debut on the big screens with the new movie Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy, and during a press conference at Sands Expo & Convention Centre today (July 29), he said he's a fan of co-star Lee Min-ho. "It was really easy to act throughout the filming process because like how (my character) Kim Dok-ja admires and idolises (Min-ho's character) Yu Jung-hyeok, I feel the same about Min-ho. I grew up watching him act and watching his projects, so I was already his fan," said 30-year-old Hyo-seop. Dok-ja is an ordinary office worker and the only devoted reader of a little-known web novel. When the story's fictional apocalyptic world comes to life and its omnipotent hero Jung-hyeok appears before him, Dok-ja must use his knowledge of the story to write a new ending. Besides the two actors, director Kim Byung-woo is also here. Here come Lee Min-ho and Ahn Hyo-seop for the Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy.#LeeMinHo #AhnHyoSeop #OmniscientReader_TheProphet — AsiaOne (@asiaonecom) July 29, 2025 Singapore marks their first and only international promotional stop outside of South Korea. In the movie, Dok-ja is described as a "plain-looking person", and the host quipped that Hyo-seop isn't, asking if it was difficult to portray such a character. Laughing and shaking his head, he humbly said: "I don't think I'm that outstanding. Since the story talks about being ordinary, it made me question, 'What is being ordinary like in the world?' There are people who are tall, but there are also those who are short. "Some have prominent faces while others have plain ones. So, I was questioning myself, 'Who am I? Where do I belong?'" He concluded that he's ordinary: "If I consider myself outstanding or special, I thought that I wouldn't be able to start filming this movie." [[nid:720752]] Meanwhile, Jung-hyeok is described as someone with an "outstanding and beautiful face", and Min-ho, 38, said that's the hardest part about playing his character. "I believe that people should be defined by their internal self... I'm a very ordinary person internally, so knowing that, it was difficult to portray such an extraordinary character." Which character would Hyo-seop and Min-ho ally with if fiction became reality? Both of them chose machine gun-wielding Lee Ji-hye, because she's played by Blackpink's Jisoo. "Instead of using her weapon, I'll listen to her song. Her music will become the strongest power," Min-ho joked. Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy, which also stars Chae Soo-bin, Shin Seung-ho, Nana, and child actor Kwon Eun-seong, opens in Singapore cinemas on July 31. Hyo-seop, Min-ho and Byung-woo will make appearances at special screenings held at Golden Village Suntec City and Golden Village VivoCity today. Tickets are sold out. No one does maternity style quite like Rihanna. See her best fashion moments

Rihanna has never been one to play by the rules—especially when it comes to fashion. Ever since the 'Diamonds' singer made her debut in 2005, there hasn't been quite a shortage of high-octane fashion moments from the cultural supernova. From classic noughties looks to her iconic full yellow Guo Pei Met Gala gown, Riri has always been ahead of the curve. And so when she announced her first pregnancy with A$AP Rocky in 2022, in an epic reveal that featured a hot pink knee length Chanel puffer jacket and multicoloured belly chains, it was clear that she was rewriting the rules of maternity style. Sure enough, a little over a month later she arrived at the Dior show in a sheer black lace babydoll dress that showed off her stomach and her lingerie. During her second pregnancy, her fashion game remained at its high. Literally. She announced the good news to the world durning her iconic 2023 Super Bowl Halftime show, whilst suspended above the stadium in a custom red Loewe breastplate and matching jumpsuit. And so history repeated itself. Now well into her third pregnancy, Rihanna has become a seasoned pro at delivering a head-turning maternity style moment. And it had to be at an opportune moment—none other than the 2025 Met Gala—choosing a finely tailored custom Marc Jacobs ensemble to share the good news. And just when we thought we'd seen it all, the Barbadian singer kept us on our toes. Attending the Smurfs movie premiere in Los Angeles, Riri turned heads in a lace trimmed Saint Laurent gown paired with a black leather jacket and chic sunglasses. But the real show stealers? Her sons RZA and Riot, who arrived at the carpet in head to toe custom Dior by Jonathan Anderson—miniature version of the looks shown at the designer's debut menswear show for the house. Yes, fashion runs in this family. Here, we dip into the archives to round up Rihanna's best maternity looks. In late April, the singer launched the Cowboy Carter tour in Los Angeles, rolling through Texas Hold 'Em and other country hits while sharing the stage with her two daughters. Last Saturday, Beyonce finished the record-breaking tour in Las Vegas with special appearances from her husband, rapper Jay-Z, her former R&B girl group, Destiny's Child, and country singer Shaboozey. Throughout her tour, the 16 Carriages vocalist has paid homage to Black American contributions to country music, specifically honouring Black performers, some of whom are featured in the Cowboy Carter album.
