Revealed: The European destinations with an even bigger party scene than Ibiza
According to new research from GetYourGuide, it's Ayia Napa that's now Europe's best destination for partying.
A tourist resort on Cyprus' southern coast, Ayia Napa is particularly popular in the summer with young adults looking to let loose.
The majority of its clubbing scene takes place on the Ayia Napa Strip which is packed with late-night venues.
Next on the list in Europe is Majorca. The Spanish island is a popular family destination but it's also home to Magaluf, one of the continent's best-known party hotspots.
Although the resort has looked to change its reputation in recent years, many Brits still see the beach destination as a clubbing haven.
But that's not the case in Ibiza.
New research from GetYourGuide has found that more than a third (33 per cent) of Britons travelling to Ibiza would try to avoid bars and clubs when visiting the Balearic island.
The study also found that 58 per cent of Britons want to skip the hangover and leave their holiday feeling rested and revived.
Nearly half (43 per cent) of women travellers say they would consider not drinking on holiday and that 'they don't need it to have a good time'.
The cost of drinks and club entry has also put some Britons off holidaying in a party destination.
Benjy Potter, a GetYourGuide spokesperson, said: 'Gone are the days of fly-and-flop as booking data and travellers themselves are telling us they want to immerse themselves in local culture and soak up the unique experiences a destination like Ibiza has to offer.
'As four in 10 British travellers admit to drinking less on holidays now than they did five years ago, it opens up their itinerary to more opportunities for discovering their destination.
'If they can just peel themselves away from the bar, they'll find a whole new side to Ibiza, beyond the buffet.'
GetYourGuide has partnered with Fearne Cotton to launch a new experience in Ibiza that will focus on everything the island has to offer beyond partying.
Fearne reveals: 'I first visited Ibiza 20 years ago and fell in love with the island's energy and people.
'There's something truly magical about this place and however hectic my life gets, a trip here will always bring me back to myself.
'Over the last two decades I've discovered the best secret spots for sunrise hikes, chilly dips and soulful yoga sessions.'
'Ibiza:Unplugged' can be booked on the GetYourGuide website and app on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The experience is available on August 1, 8, 15 and 22 in 2025.

Dua Lipa mocked over jet set lifestyle as she shares steamy snaps from Italy trip with fiance Callum Turner
Dua Lipa fans couldn't help but poke fun at the pop star's jet set lifestyle after it was revealed that she was on yet another trip with her fiancé. The singer, 29 - who is currently engaged to The Boys in the Boat actor Callum Turner, 35 - is often seen embarking on glamorous vacations and traveling the world with her beau. Most recently, they headed to Italy, where they were spotted soaking up the sun on a stunning beach in a series of social media posts. But as she continues to document her lavish trips online, some X, formerly Twitter, users cracked jokes about her nonstop traveling. Many wondered where she and Callum would go for their honeymoon since the couple had already been 'everywhere.' Some even joked that she might take it to the next extreme and head to space. 'This girl has already traveled all over the world, where are they going for their honeymoon to make it memorable? Mars?' one user jokingly wondered on X. 'Their honeymoon is gonna be three years long,' another wrote. 'For their honeymoon, they will discover Atlantis,' someone else theorized. 'LMAO right?!? Girl has literally been EVERYWHERE,' a fourth comment read. 'Pre-honeymoon in Mount Everest, main honeymoon on Mars, [and] post-honeymoon in Titanic wreckage,' a fifth said. Others suggested the Arctic and Antarctica, while one even joked they might go to the moon sometime soon. Some people referred to the pop singer's lyrics from her hit song Levitating. 'She did say, "Whatever, let's get lost on Mars,"' one said. 'She knows a galaxy they can run off to,' another humored. Dua is well-aware of the travel jokes and previously made a statement about it with British Vogue. Most recently, they headed to Italy , where they were spotted soaking up the sun on a stunning beach in a series of social media posts But as she continues to document her lavish trips online, many of her fans wondered where she and Callum would go for their honeymoon since the couple had already been 'everywhere' 'I'm not always on holiday, I just make everything I do feel like a holiday,' she told the outlet last month. The hitmaker was recently spotted with her actor fiancé Callum, as they soaked up the sun on the beaches of the Amalfi Coast. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Dua put on a sizzling display as she relaxed on a sun lounger in a black and white polka dot bikini with lace lining. Elsewhere in the post, Dua shared more sweet snaps with actor Callum, as he draped his arm around the singer's shoulder in a selfie. Dua also shared a picture of Callum in front of a stunning view of the turquoise water and nearby cliffs, as well as the window looking out of a helicopter as they enjoyed a VIP flight. In another snap, Dua could be seen sporting a cropped green T-shirt and jeans, as well as a baseball cap, as she wandered the cobbled streets. It comes after Dua and Callum couldn't keep their hands off each other as they were spotted sharing a passionate kiss while sunbathing. Her long raven tresses were wet after plunging into the crystal-clear water to cool off. Meanwhile, Callum displayed his sunburnt chest and back while wearing a pair of bright orange swimming trunks. Recently, the One Kiss songstress posed for the front cover of British Vogue, where she stunned in a pale pink bra that highlighted her jaw-dropping figure. In the interview, Dua discussed her family plans, saying she's concerned about how having children will fit in with her career as a pop star. 'I'd love to have kids one day,' she said. 'But it's like the constant question of when would there ever be a good time – how it would fit in with my job and how it would work if I went on tour, and how much time out I'd have to take. 'I think it's just one of those things that's going to happen when it happens. I love kids, but I think there's so much more to raising a child than just loving children.' Confirming their engagement, Dua said: 'Yeah, we're engaged. It's very exciting. 'This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don't know, be best friends forever - it's a really special feeling.'

Heathrow could SUE National Grid after fault that caused fire was identified seven years ago
HEATHROW may sue the National Grid after a probe found a fault causing the huge substation fire was identified seven years ago. The blaze in March halted flights for 24 hours — affecting 270,000 passengers and costing the airport millions. A probe by the National Energy System Operator found faulty fire safety equipment and moisture in electrical parts flagged in 2018 were not addressed, and maintenance was delayed again in 2022. The North Hyde substation fire was caused by 'catastrophic failure' in a transformer, triggered by moisture entering electrical components. Heathrow's network was not designed to recover quickly. The airport said it was making improvements. Energy watchdog Ofgem has now launched a probe into the National Grid, which could result in fines. Heathrow said: 'A combination of outdated regulation, inadequate safety mechanisms and National Grid's failure to maintain infrastructure led to this catastrophic power outage.' National Grid said it had 'taken action'. called the findings 'concerning' and promised action to prevent similar incidents. Heathrow, Europe's busiest airport, handled over 83.9million passengers in 2024. 1

An elderly British man has died on a cruise ship travelling through a Greek holiday hotspot. The 67-year-old man passed away while on board the vessel which was 'flying the Maltese flag' in the port of Corfu. The Port Authority said in a statement on Tuesday: 'In the morning hours today, the Corfu Port Authority was informed of the death of a 67-year-old foreign passenger (British citizen) on a cruise ship (C/Z) flying the Maltese flag in the port of Corfu. 'The body was transferred to the Corfu General Hospital for an autopsy. 'A preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Corfu Central Port Authority.' MailOnline has approached the Foreign Office for comment. The tragedy comes just two months after cruise ship passengers were stunned to learn their captain had tragically died in the middle of their 19-day voyage in Asia. Devastation ensued upon Princess Cruises' Diamond Princess ship in May when guests received a letter breaking the news of Captain Michele Bartolomei's sudden death. The 52-year-old, who lived in Canada, died from a medical emergency and was discovered Monday morning while the ship was docked in Keelung, Taiwan.
