Disabled parking places order approved in North Lanarkshire
New Disabled Persons' Parking Places Order has been approved for various streets in North Lanarkshire.
On June 16, North Lanarkshire Council enacted the Traffic Regulation Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
This order, which will come into effect on Monday, June 30, was previously advertised in a selection of local newspapers, including Airdrie and Coatbridge Advertiser, Cumbernauld News, Kilsyth Chronicle, Kirkintilloch Herald, Motherwell Times, and Wishaw Press, beginning the week of May 12.

The specifics of the Traffic Regulation Order remain unchanged from the initial notice.

Two injured after car crashes near Piccadilly Circus roundabout
Two people have been injured after a car crashed near a roundabout in London's Piccadilly Circus. Emergency services were called to reports of a road traffic collision at around 5.30am on Sunday. Pictures show a heavily damaged vehicle lying on its roof near the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain, popularly known as Eros. One person was taken to a major trauma centre and the other to a local hospital. The area has been cordoned off by police. A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: 'We sent a number of resources, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and members of our hazardous area response team (Hart). 'We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London's Air Ambulance.'

That was a little too close to call for George Russell, but he pulls out enough to claim P11 after Q1. Not so lucky was the Red Bull of Yuki Tsunoda, who is already on the radio to complain about his lack of front grip. Car flips onto roof after smashing into Piccadilly Circus roundabout leaving two injured
A car has crashed into the Piccadilly Circus roundabout, leaving two people injured and causing significant disruption at the busy London landmark. Emergency services rushed to the scene in the early hours of Sunday, June 29, after reports that a car had ploughed into the famous central London junction. Images from the scene show the vehicle overturned and resting on its roof, apparently having collided directly with the iconic fountain at the roundabout's centre. All roads leading to Piccadilly Circus have been closed, and the nearby Tube station has been partially shut due to the incident. Two people were treated at the scene by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. A spokesperson said: 'Our first paramedic arrived on scene in less than four minutes. We treated two people. We took one patient to a major trauma centre and the other patient to a local hospital.' A police investigation into the collision is ongoing, and a substantial police presence remains at the site as enquiries continue.
