Iconic 90s Wonderbra model shows off sensational looks 25 years on

Czech catwalk queen Eva Herzigova continues to be in high demand as a supermodel but she is much more selective nowadays, prioritising her ethical fashion stance and her family Timeless supermodel Eva Herzigova barely looks a day older than her Wonderbra hey day more than two decades on. ‌ Now 51, the Czech catwalk queen famously fronted the iconic "Hello Boys" campaign, which saw the star featured on billboards across the country. Her traffic-stopping advertisement was so eye catching it was rumoured to have caused accidents due to drivers being distracted and propelled her to international fame more than 25 years ago. ‌ Eva hasn't changed much - last year, she donned a lacy black push-up bra once more last year for the Victoria's Secret fashion show, adding a thong and a sheer coverup to dazzling effect. ‌ The star was just 16 years old when she won a modelling competition in Prague and headed to fashion capital Paris. Three years later, she played Marilyn Monroe in an advertisement for the jeans brand Guess and when she was 21, she starred in the Wonderbra campaign. ‌ The iconic ad saw the model look down at her Wonderbra-enhanced breasts, accompanied by the message "Hello Boys". Some critics thought the campaign was incredibly sexist but fans loved it and it was an advertising triumph - according to a study by the University of Michigan Business School, Wonderbra managed to sell one push-up bra every 15 seconds in the United States between 1994 and 1995. The campaign propelled Eva into the same supermodel bracket as the likes of Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Christy Turlington and she went onto accomplish pretty much everything in fashion. ‌ The Czech became a Victoria's Secret angel and graced the cover of countless magazines including Sports Illustrated and Playboy. Eva also starred in a Duran Duran music video for Girl Panic!, which was censored by MTV for being too provocative. The model continues to front magazine covers like W and model for brands including Givenchy, with photos on her Instagram showcasing her ageless looks. She also shares the odd snap off-duty, including snaps in the desert of a trip she branded "magical" and a candid shot of her sticking her tongue out being a "silly birthday girl". ‌ Nowadays, Eva is married to Italian businessman Gregorio Marsiaj, with three children. The family live in Turin, Italy and Eva has become a campaigner for slow, ethical fashion. She told El Pais magazine last year: "I don't know why brands don't slow down and go back to doing two collections a year like they used to. Now, they all do a pre-collection, a cruise collection, a capsule collection... That involves moving large production teams and generates an enormous amount of waste." The supermodel is also much more selective about modelling work she takes on nowadays. "I say no to a lot of jobs because I don't see a purpose to them," she said. "I have a life, a husband and three kids and I don't want to waste my time."

I've been to a World Cup final in the USA – here's what England fans can expect (hopefully)

Scroll down to see how much the ticket cost! AMERICAN DREAM I've been to a World Cup final in the USA – here's what England fans can expect (hopefully) A YEAR today, thousands of English fans will hope to be in uncharted territory - a World Cup final in America. There will be a scramble for tickets to watch the showpiece at the Met Life Stadium. Advertisement 8 Me, aged ten, with my dad before the 1994 World Cup final in the Rose Bowl, Pasadena 8 Our view from behind the goal as the anthems were played 8 I was a Brazil fan for the tournament and boy, did I look cool 8 We were behind this goal when Roberto Baggio skied his decisive penalty over Credit: AFP Jude Bellingham, Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka - New Jersey boys on the biggest stage. Three Lions fans might not know what to expect, but I can give them an idea as I have been to a World Cup final in America and witnessed one of football's most iconic moments. And things were very different 31 years ago. For a start, there were very few English supporters at the tournament as the national team failed to qualify. Advertisement That - along with the scheduling of Wigan borough's school holidays - gave us our chance. My dad and I were members of the England Travel Club and in pre-internet days, every FA was allocated World Cup tickets, whether they had qualified or not. The English FA doled them out through the Travel Club - and we cleaned up. It was part football trip, part brilliant family holiday. Advertisement CASINO SPECIAL - BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS We saw Brazil beat the USA in San Francisco (and Tab Ramos nearly take Leonardo's head off), Sweden beat Romania on penalties in the quarters, Romario win the semi-final for Brazil against the Swedes and then the final, Brazil v Italy. I became Brazilian for two weeks - just call me Gradinho. Donald Trump reveals he's keeping Club World Cup trophy after gatecrashing Chelsea celebrations as Blues get replica The USA has much more of a football - or soccer - culture now. Advertisement In 1994, an old couple heard our accents and politely asked what we were doing in America. My dad's mate, Phil, replied: "We're here for the football". That confused them as the NFL season had not started. Know-it-all ten-year-old me leaned over to them and said: "He means the soccer." If anything, that confused them even more! Advertisement It did not permeate all parts of US society, although the stadiums were pretty much full - certainly more packed than at Euro 96 two years later. However, that created a problem for dad's pal Phil. Four years earlier, at Italia 90, tickets had been in plentiful supply from the touts and not too highly priced either. Dad and Phil managed to get to two quarter finals and the memorable semi in Turin where Gazza and the rest of the England fans ended up in tears. But in '94, although we were warned to stay away from 'scalpers' there was barely a ticket tout in sight and Phil, who had not been so lucky in the Travel Club draw, had to scour local newspaper adverts to try to get final tickets for himself and two sons. Advertisement He managed it, too, but not before a hair-raising trip to a rough part of LA and an impromptu auction with another hopeful fan who, he claimed, had a gun. Another oddity for an English football fan was sitting on bleachers in the stadium rather than seats - especially at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, just outside Los Angeles. 8 Brazil's star man Romario with the World Cup after his side's win on penalties Credit: AFP 8 The Los Angeles Times has Brazil's victory on its front page the next day Advertisement 8 The final itself was the worst match of the tournament - but what an occasion! It was packed and boiling hot - as it will be next year - and it kicked off at 12.30pm local time (which contributed to the lack of quality). Loads of the 94,000-strong crowd were supporting Brazil - although we were sat next to a Scottish Italy fan who waxed lyrical about reserve defender Luigi Apolloni, of Parma. Advertisement He did actually get on too, after 35 minutes and helped Italy keep Romario quiet. After a forgettable 120 minutes, it went to penalties. We were behind the goal that Roberto Baggio skied his spot-kick over, nearly hitting us (OK, maybe not, we were a bit far back for that). After the match, we even got to Disneyland to watch the parade for a new film called the Lion King. A dramatic end to a brilliant trip - but things will be different next year. Advertisement 8 My ticket to the 1994 World Cup final Thanks to the MLS, Lionel Messi et al, the US public seem to be more into football and there should be more of a buzz throughout the country. And Kane will not sky his penalty in the final over the bar. Then, the fans in New Jersey will be watching Three Lions kings...

I went to Vegas-like holiday resort in Europe with glamorous concierges, adventure parks & island's biggest pool complex

SLOT machines flash and jingle as I soak up the atmosphere at the City of Dreams Mediterranean in Cyprus. This vast five-star resort features a super-casino, restaurants, bars entertainment and 500 hotel rooms — and is the first of its kind in Europe allowing guests to roll the dice after a dip in one of its many pools. 3 3 Insiders tell me it's just the start of ambitions to transform the area into a hybrid of Miami and Vegas within the next five years. If my two nights at the resort, near Limassol, were any indication, they are well on their way. Stepping inside, I was struck by the obvious luxury — guests are welcomed into a grand marble lobby lined with designer shops. Within seconds a glamorous concierge appears with a hot towel for your hands as a bellboy collects your bags. Moments later I was window shopping on my way to my suite, spotting Burberry, Gucci, and Dolce and Gabbana collections. Decorated in pine tones, my room felt like my very own Nordic spa with a massive tub, separate shower room, and a huge bed with pillows I melted into. The showstopper was the view from the balcony looking across the resort — the largest pool complex in Cyprus and a mecca for families and big kids like me. As well as the sparkling multiple pools surrounded by palm trees for shade, water slides and rapids there's a dedicated adventure park that will keep even the fussiest child happy. It features an 18-hole miniature golf course, zip-line coaster, climbing wall, high ropes obstacle courses and a huge playground. The resort's Kids' City is open every day from 10am to 8pm with supervised activities for four to 12-year-olds and by night there are movie and theatre evenings with free popcorn. For those seeking a different type of thrill there is of course the casino. While Mum and Dad enjoy a flutter, a gaming room offers snooker and retro arcade favourites like Pac-Man and table hockey. Large sofas face wall-mounted TVs with gaming consoles on hand to keep the teenagers busy. A short drive away from the hotel are sandy beaches and the vibrant city of Limassol with its regenerated marina and lavish yachts bobbing in the waters. Arming myself with a coffee from Paul bakery, I walked along a boulevard of chic cafes and restaurants you would see on any posh British high street — Jamie Oliver's, a Wagamama, and multiple Greek tavernas. From there it's an easy stroll into the old town along cobbled streets that lead to Kolossi Castle. In the Middle Ages, Cyprus was a target for Crusader campaigns to the Holy Land, and this 15th-century fortress is filled with treasures from the time. Exhibits of ancient pottery, oil lamps and coins from Byzantine, Venetian and Ottoman eras are on display in the great hall. I found myself marvelling at tombstones bearing intricate carvings of Crusader knights and ancient symbols. In the belly of the castle is an even older underground chapel which is dark, windowless and quiet. It was here that King Richard I (Richard the Lionheart) married Berengaria of Navarre. I felt time stop for a moment, and could picture the bride and groom standing next to the very stones of the ancient altar in this peaceful underground grotto. Stunning frescoes Amazingly you can taste the oldest wine in the world that was served at King Richard's wedding, called Commandaria, on a visit to the village of Agios Konstantinos. The excursion can be arranged at the City of Dreams Mediterranean hotel's front desk. Another must-do trip is to the charming village of Omodos, in the heart of the Troodos Mountains. Renowned for its traditional stone houses, Omodos is a picturesque spot and at its centre lies Timios Stavros Monastery, which dates back to the early 1800s. The preserved Byzantine church is filled with wood carvings and stunning frescoes. After a day spent exploring Cyprus's history, or enjoying the adrenalin rush of the casino, the City of Dreams Mediterranean's cave-like spa is the perfect spot to rest weary feet. This was my favourite place and I could feel my muscles immediately relax in the sauna, before booking myself in for a massage. With entertainment and relaxation options nailed down at the hotel, I couldn't wait for dinner at one of the four restaurants. As well as a buffet, there are three speciality restaurants serving French, Asian and Mediterranean cuisine. 3 The Amber Dragon, sibling of a two-star Michelin venue in Macau, serves up sushi and sashimi, dim sum and stir-fried classics as well as the best BBQ roasted duck I'd ever tasted. A chef prepared shreds of the mouthwatering bird in front of us as little baskets of pancakes and dishes of greens were laid out — I was in food heaven. Next up were the divine Shanghai dumplings that melted into a little soup, while dessert was a golden dumpling treat that resembled an ice-cream Scotch egg. Afterwards I headed to the casino's roulette table. I was hoping it was my lucky night!
