Tributes are continuing to pour in for The Cosby Show star Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who has died at the age of 54.
The American actor and singer drowned while on holiday with his family in Costa Rica.
He was reportedly swimming at Playa Grande near the town of Cahuita in Limón province on Sunday afternoon when a strong current pulled him into deeper water.
According to CNN, Costa Rica's Judicial Investigation Police said beachgoers tried to assist Warner, but he was later declared dead by the Red Cross.

'Malcolm-Jamal Warner was a true, great person'
Fans and celebrities have taken to social media to remember Warner.
Warner's long-time friend and fellow actor Adam Sandler said he was a great person.
'We had such good times together. I was probably 18 and Malcolm was maybe 17 or 16 – I don't know. We would take walks, pick up food, talk, play basketball, hang out on weekends and go to parties together.
'He was so good to me as a person. And his mum was amazing to him. I'm sending love to the family. Malcolm was a true, great person – hilarious, smart – and he meant a lot to America,' Sandler told Entertainment Tonight.

The 88-year-old star told "ABC News": "He was always a great student, and I enjoyed working with him very much. He was very professional. He always knew his part ... He always knew his lines, and he always knew where to go." Cosby, who has faced sexual misconduct allegations from a number of women in recent years and had a sexual assault conviction quashed in 2021, explained that he and Malcolm remained close when "The Cosby Show" ended. He said, "Malcolm calls here regularly." Warner's cause of death has been confirmed as "asphyxia by submersion" by local authorities in Costa Rica. The country's Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) explained in a statement that they "removed the body of a man who apparently died as a result of asphyxiation by submersion", who was later identified as the actor, who also starred in "Suits" and "The Resident". 'A legacy of grace and talent': Hollywood mourns Malcolm-Jamal Warner's death at 54
Hollywood is mourning the death of beloved actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner best known for his breakout role as Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show. According to a law enforcement source who confirmed the news to Reuters, Warner drowned on Monday at the age of 54 while on holiday in Costa Rica with his family. Warner rose to fame in the 1980s as the only son in the Huxtable family in the groundbreaking NBC sitcom The Cosby Show. His role as Theo, the middle child in a family of five, became iconic and earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 1986. Over the decades, Warner built a diverse and respected career, with roles in Jeremiah, Sons of Anarchy, Suits, A Different World and The Resident. He hosted Saturday Night Live in 1986 and in 2015 won a Grammy Award for Best Traditional R&B Performance for the song Jesus Children.
