Fans on night one of Beyoncé's 'Cowboy Carter' tour
USA TODAY's Beyoncé reporter Caché McClay spoke to fans on night one of the 'Cowboy Carter' tour.
Beyoncé performed her fourth Los Angeles show on her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin Circuit Tour.
She added throwback songs to her set list, including "Irreplaceable," "Single Ladies" and "Love on Top."
The updated setlist, first introduced on May 1st, also featured a mash-up of "Tyrant" (2024) and "Haunted" (2013).
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter took the stage in Los Angeles for night four of her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin Circuit Tour, and once again, she added some of her beloved throwbacks to the massive set list.
Beyoncé put on a stellar performance at SoFi Stadium on May 7 for her lucky No. 4 show, as she sang songs from her "Cowboy Carter" album, "Renaissance" project and classic hits, similar to night two and three of her tour.
The change first came at Beyoncé's second show on May 1. During it, she moved some songs around and added songs like "Irreplaceable" (2006), "If I were A Boy" (2008), "Single Ladies" (2008) and "Love on Top" (2011).
Fans watching online and inside the stadium seemed pleasantly surprised with the changes and wondered if she might keep the new set list for the duration of shows in Los Angeles or how often she might change it. And she kept those tunes coming for a third time in a row.
One fan also took note of a particular mash-up, where Beyoncé mixed her 2024 song "Tyrant" with her 2013 tune "Haunted."
Of course, the Grammy-winning singer debuted her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin Circuit Tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angles on April 28 with 39 songs on the set list. Her second and third show took place May 1 and May 4 on the same stage. The groundbreaking concert proved to be spectacle of many things including fashion, different music genres and most notably country music and politics.
As fans know, Beyoncé first released the 27-track project in March 2024. It has since made history and broken multiple records. As Beyoncé's first country album, she deliberately featured country legends and emerging Black country artists alike. She became the first Black woman to win best country album at the 2025 Grammys and also took home album of the year.
The nine-city tour will span the U.S. and Europe with the grand finale taking place in Las Vegas on July 26. She's set to make history again with her scheduled tour dates, including by playing the most dates at SoFi Stadium of any artist.

Steve Miller Band cancels 2025 tour before it even began: ‘Blame it on the weather'

The Steve Miller Band has pulled the plug on its 2025 tour a month before it was set to kick off. Why? In the band's words: 'Blame it on the weather.' The California rock group announced Wednesday that it has called off the remainder of its 2025 tour, including several shows in New York and concerts in Southern California, citing several extreme weather conditions. 'The combination of extreme heat, unpredictable flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes and massive forest fires makes these risks for you our audience, the band and the crew unacceptable,' the 'Fly Like an Eagle' group said in a statement shared on its social media pages. The Steve Miller Band announced its tour in March. In May, the group revealed that the slate of live shows would take its members across North America, starting with the East Coast in August. Shows in San Diego, Inglewood and Anaheim were set for November. While the announcement comes amid climate crises, including the fatal floods in the Northeast and Texas, the band did not specify which areas or weather events posed a risk to its tour plans. Wednesday's statement also left the possibility of future live performances pretty open-ended: 'Don't know where, don't know hope to see you all again.' Though the group concluded its statement by wishing fans 'peace, love and happiness,' it was met with division in the comments section. On Instagram, several followers said that they understood the rock band's decision to call off the tour, while others wrote that they found the justification 'odd' and speculated on reasons for the abrupt cancellation. A representative for the rock group did not immediately respond to The Times' request for additional information. Just a day before its sudden announcement, the group continued to promote the tour on social media. On Tuesday, the band's X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram pages published a photo of Miller, 81, receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1987. 'Catch him and the band on tour starting next month,' said the caption accompanying the photo. The post at the time directed followers to the band's website to purchase tickets. Fans visiting the website are now met with the cancellation notice. The Steve Miller Band was founded in the 1960s and is led by its namesake Grammy-winning vocalist and guitarist. It is also known for songs such as 'Jungle Love,' 'Abracadabra,' 'Take the Money and Run' and 'Space Cowboy.'

Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham's cryptic social media posts stir fan speculation

Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham appear to be thawing years of icy silence and working past their decades-long feud — one cryptic message at a time. The former Fleetwood Mac musicians, who famously dated and broke up as the group made its 1997 record 'Rumours,' shared a pair of coordinated social media posts on Thursday, July 17 that have caused some fans to believe they've got a surprise coming. Nicks posted a graphic of the words 'And if you go forward…' written in black over a plain white background to Instagram and X on Thursday morning. Less than an hour later, Buckingham shared a similarly stylized post, his reading 'I'll meet you there.' Together, the two lines form a lyric from 'Frozen Love,' a song off 'Buckingham Nicks,' the only studio album the musicians put out as a duo. The record was released in 1973, a year after they started dating and a year before they both joined Fleetwood Mac. Nicks was a lead singer for the band, with Buckingham on the guitar and keyboard. The two met while attending Menlo-Atherton High School, and have had a tense relationship since their 1976 split. While Nicks told Rolling Stone in October that she had given Buckingham 'more than 300 million chances' and emphasized she was done with him, recent efforts to reunite them may finally be working. A day before Nicks and Buckingham's coordinated posts, Mick Fleetwood shared a video of himself listening to 'Frozen Love' in a joint Instagram post with Fleetwood Mac's official account. The drummer, who has attempted to facilitate peace between his former bandmates for years, captioned the post 'Magic then, magic now.' These developments come shortly after fans discovered Nicks and Buckingham are now following each other on Instagram. Some have speculated that these interactions are teasing the streaming release of 'Buckingham Nicks,' while others are hopeful the two have officially reconciled and will be releasing new music together. Nicks has, however, has made it clear that she is uninterested in a Fleetwood Mac reunion without the band's keyboardist, Christine McVie, who died in 2022. Meanwhile, she announced in April that she is working on a new solo project about the various men in her life. She also teased a collaboration with Los Angeles pop-rock trio HAIM, though it's unclear if it will be part of her unnamed record. Nicks is scheduled to perform at Sacramento's Golden 1 center on Oct. 4, after her co-headlining tour with Billy Joel, scheduled to stop at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara the same night, was canceled due to his brain disorder diagnosis.

Ariana Grande denies rumors she's leaving music

Ariana Grande is setting the record straight, reassuring fans that her music career is far from over. Earlier this week, Grande announced that she and actor Josh Gad will star in "Wicked" director Jon M. Chu's forthcoming adaptation of the classic Dr. Seuss children's book "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" She shared a photo of the two together in a recording studio, holding binders with their scripts over their faces via Instagram Tuesday. "🧚🏻 Oh, the Places You'll Go ! 💭," she wrote in the caption at the time. A short while later, Grande, who recently starred in "Wicked" alongside Cynthia Erivo and is set to appear in "Wicked: For Good" later this year, reassured her fans that she wasn't abandoning music, despite being busy with other projects. "very silly of you all to assume that just because i have my hands full with many things that i plan to abandon singing & music … !!!" she wrote in an Instagram post Wednesday. "it is and has always been my lifeline. there will need to be room made for all of it. 🧚🏼‍♂️." She also expressed excitement and gratitude for her diverse pursuits, while also hinting at her musical plans for next year. "it may not look exactly like it did before but i much prefer how it looks in my head," she continued. "i am having fun. i feel grateful and excited and inspired. :) finding a balance, between many projects and endeavors i love, and doing it my own way." "so i'm working on a plan to sing for you all next year. even if it's just for a little," she concluded the post. "i love you." Grande released her latest album, "Eternal Sunshine," in 2024, but fans still haven't had the opportunity to experience it live. Her last tour was the Sweetener World Tour in 2019.
