Palhinha, 30, has fallen down the pecking order at Bayern and could be available for around £22million.
Should Spurs firm up their interest, it would be most likely in the form of a loan approach, yet central midfield is an area where they already have plenty of players.

However, he only made six Bundesliga starts in an injury-hit debut term with the German giants.

Team Ineos soigneur David Rozman leaves Tour de France amid 2012 doping questions raised by Sunday Independent
"Following recent media allegations, David (Rozman) has now received a request from the ITA to attend an interview. Accordingly, he has stepped back from race duties and has left the Tour," Ineos Grenadiers said, adding the team had not been presented with formal evidence or asked to participate in any inquiry. The ITA declined to comment and Rozman did not answer phone calls. Rozman was reported by the Sunday Independent earlier this month to have exchanged messages in 2012 with a doctor linked to the Operation Aderlass doping scandal that shook the sporting world in 2019. German broadcaster ARD also last month reported exchanges involving Ineos, but did not name Rozman. Operation Aderlass involved a German physician Mark Schmidt, who had been giving illegal blood transfusions to athletes from various disciplines including cycling. Schmidt was later convicted and sentenced in 2021 to four years and 10 months in prison for administering illegal blood transfusions. The 2012 Tour de France was won by Britain's Bradley Wiggins with the team, then known as Team Sky. His former teammate Chris Froome went on to win another four Tour titles for the team. Soigneurs typically look after the cyclists, provide massages and carry out a host of other jobs for the team. Ineos said in its statement that it had commissioned an inquiry by an external law firm after Rozman informed the team of a first meeting with the ITA earlier this year. "Team member David Rozman was informally contacted in April 2025 by a member of ITA staff, who asked him about alleged historical communications," it said. "Although the ITA assured David at the time that he was not under investigation, Ineos promptly commissioned a thorough review by an external law firm," it said, without elaborating.

Should Liverpool complete the mega-money deals, then Slot will have a headache trying to fit in all his new pieces. The Dutchman could stick with the club's proven 4-3-3 formation and add the new signings. Ekitike dropped Liverpool transfer hint before £79m move thanks to Gerrard
Before Liverpool even made contact with Eintracht Frankfurt regarding his £79million transfer, Hugo Ekitike had already dropped a hint about his move, courtesy of Steven Gerrard. The French striker sealed his move to the reigning Premier League champions on Wednesday, penning a six-year deal that will keep him at Anfield until 2031. The 23 year old had an outstanding season with the Bundesliga outfit, netting 22 goals and setting up 12 more in 48 appearances across all competitions. Despite Newcastle United's rejected bid, Ekitike was destined for Merseyside once Arne Slot's team entered the fray for the forward following the Magpies' failed attempt. While their first bid was turned down, a second offer of £69m up front with £10m in add-ons provided an outline agreement between the two clubs that would see the striker become the Reds' fifth major signing of the summer. It was a relatively speedy swoop from Liverpool's hierarchy to clinch a deal for Ekitike who first made contact with the player's camp in January before he enjoyed a conversation with Slot at the end of the season. However, discussions with Frankfurt only commenced after Newcastle's rejected bid 10 days ago. It was earlier this summer that Ekitike sparked rumours of a potential move to Anfield after he was spotted wearing a retro Liverpool kit with Gerrard's name at the back. The France U21 international was photographed training at the Marbella Football Centre, understood to be in June, wearing the Reds' away strip believed to be from the 1998/99 season. The kit featured the ex-Liverpool skipper's first squad number of 28 in what was his inaugural season of professional football. Gerrard spent two seasons with number 28 before switching to 17 in the 2000/01 season. He then landed on his iconic number 8 in 2004 which he stayed with until his departure from the club in 2015. Ekitike wore the No. 11 at Frankfurt but his favoured number is currently occupied by Mohamed Salah. He's since been given a temporary squad number of 54, similar to the rest of his new team-mates as the Reds are likely awaiting on several outgoings before handing their summer signings permanent numbers. After spending 17 months in Frankfurt, Liverpool fans will be glad to know that he was thought of glowingly by his former team-mate Mario Gotze who himself was close to an Anfield move in 2016 to reunite with Jurgen Klopp. Speaking to beIN Sports last year, the World Cup winner said: "I think Hugo Ekitike has an ability that few players have with his dribbling, his finishing, and his speed. Of course, he can help us [Frankfurt] a lot. "We saw it last year: we simply need everyone to be at 100 per cent. This applies to everyone who has played, to the new ones, to those who have been here a little longer. And he is undoubtedly an added value for the team."
