Tokyo is getting a Pokémon theme park in spring 2026
But the excitement doesn't stop there – Pokémon fans are in for a major treat, as Tokyo is set to welcome its first-ever permanent outdoor Pokémon attraction in spring 2026. PokéPark Kanto will take over an expansive 26,000sqm space at Yomiuriland in the western suburbs and will feature a Pokémon Center, Trainers' Market, Gym, Pokémon Mart, Sedge Town area, and a 'Pokémon Forest' home to over 600 pocket monsters.
That last one looks set to be one of the park's highlights. The lush Pokémon Forest will feature a mix of terrains from hilly paths and tall grassy areas to tunnels and rocky trails. Here, you'll be able to observe a wide variety of Pokémon in the wild.
Another exciting area is Sedge Town, home to a Pokémon Center, Poké Market, Gym and Trainers' Market, where you can shop for exclusive merchandise. You'll also be able to catch a Disneyland-style Pokémon parade here, along with two other attractions. At the heart of the town, the Primarina Fountain serves as a gathering spot for Pokémon trainers visiting the grounds.
The grand opening of PokéPark Kanto is set for spring 2026, with advance ticket sales expected to begin in autumn 2025. We'll keep you posted when tickets become available.

Video of Morgan Gibbs-White transfer U-turn gets same response from ALL football fans
Tottenham were seemingly closing in on the signing of Morgan Gibbs-White earlier this month but the Nottingham Forest star has now signed a record contract to stay put Morgan Gibbs-White has officially committed his future to Nottingham Forest - just weeks after the attacking midfielder looked all but certain to join Tottenham. News broke earlier this month that Spurs had triggered a £60million release clause in the 25-year-old's contract. However, Forest were left angered by what they considered to be an illegal approach from their Premier League rivals for one of their most influential stars. Gibbs-White has since played for Forest in pre-season as all talk of finalising said move to Spurs went quiet. And the club have now confirmed that Gibbs-White has signed a club-record three-year deal, putting an end to speculation over the midfielder's future. A video showing Gibbs-White and Evangelos Marinakis, the club's owner, was posted online to announce the news. But some mischievous fans have quipped that the Forest star looked like a 'hostage' in said video. One social media user joked: "Nothing like a hostage video with your captor standing beside you so you don't cry for help! #FreeGibbsWhite". Another poster quipped: "Gibbs-White fake smiling with his owner after being held hostage at Forest just like Olise at Palace." A third football fan said cheekily: "A lot of interesting moments throughout this transfer window. Obviously United's chase of players, Liverpool splashing huge cash, Arsenal always in the news, the Isak situation & a lot more. But I didn't expect a Morgan Gibbs-White hostage video. Never a dull moment". Despite the jokes from fans, Gibbs-White said that he was 'excited' for what's next at Forest after the club qualified for Europe last season. Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "I've felt at home at Forest from the moment I arrived. The support from the fans, my teammates, and everyone around the club has been unbelievable. "I believe in what we're building here – and with the backing of Mr Marinakis and the enormous ambition he has, I want to be part of making something special. I'm excited for what's to come." Forest owner Marinakis, who posed with Gibbs-White in photos celebrating the new contract, said: "Morgan is a special player – not just in terms of talent, but character and mentality. He represents everything we want this football club to be: he is a winner, talented, ambitious, fearless, and proud. "There was significant interest from various clubs, but we were determined to build our future with Morgan at the heart of it. I promised our fans we would not only compete, but grow stronger and stronger every season. Today is another big step in that journey." Tougen Anki – Season 1 Episode 3 Recap & Review
Blood Eclipse Release Episode 3 of Tougen Anki continues from the Oni Tag that Naito has initiated for the Oni students. Their goal is to return to the school without getting caught by Naito. He divides them into teams—sending Shiki, a shy girl named Homare, and Shiki's supposed rival, Jin, to go first. Once inside the forest enclosure, Jin and Shiki end up in a fight, trying to battle it out. Shiki is shocked by Jin's ability to manipulate his blood into chainsaw blades. Meanwhile, Naito, observing the group from afar, is impressed by Jin's ability to draw two different types of weapons. As much as Shiki tries, however, he's unable to summon his blood shotgun again. That's when the quiet and awkward Homare arrives, just as Jin attacks Shiki using his Blood Eclipse Release. Shiki barely manages to save Homare from the assault. Seeing Shiki's wounds from trying to protect her, Homare enters a traumatic state. She unexpectedly unleashes her own Blood Eclipse Release, summoning a massive blood giant that begins attacking both Shiki and Jin with fatal force. They soon realize that the giant is trying to protect Homare, yet its behavior is wild and uncontrollable. Meanwhile, Naito continues to observe. He is joined by the principal, who reflects on the history of how Oni children were once killed or experimented on simply because of their ability to manipulate blood—a technique now known as Blood Eclipse Release. Just when it seems like Naito may have to intervene, Shiki finally understands the key to unlocking the technique: the strength of the image of the weapon they want to form from their blood. With this realization, he successfully manifests a massive shotgun and fires at the blood giant. Both Jin and Naito watch in shock as Tougen Anki Episode 3 comes to a close. The Episode Review Tougen Anki keeps getting better with each episode, delivering new and thrilling action sequences that keep us hooked. While the storytelling could have been tighter, this episode offers a deeper glimpse into the social stigma and dark past of experimentation on Oni children. The anime clearly aims to portray the Oni as a wronged and discriminated group, almost like a story told from the villains' side in My Hero Academia. It's also fascinating how the Blood Eclipse Release technique is shown to be deeply psychosomatic, reflecting each character's inner world. This creative storytelling gives us a peek into every character's personality, trauma, and worldview, just through the weapons they shape their blood into. For instance: A shotgun for Shiki, who's a bit over-the-top and impulsive. Blades for Jin, a sharp yet quietly intense character. A stylish umbrella for Naito, reflecting his sophisticated fighting style. And a defensive, rogue blood giant for Homare, hinting at her traumatic past and overwhelming need for protection. Rebel Wilson reveals she's suffered second family tragedy just months after the heartbreaking loss of her beloved grandfather
Rebel Wilson has shared a tribute to her beloved grandmother after the matriarch's death at age 95 this weekend. The 45-year-old made the heartbreaking announcement alongside an Instagram reel showing an array of images of her nan and family, including wife Ramona Agruma. 'Goodbye to my incredible Grandma Gar - the BEST grandmother ever,' the Pitch Perfect star began in a lengthy caption. 'She passed away at 95 years old. Her favourite movie was The Wizard of Oz because when she was a young girl she was banned by her father from seeing it for being "naughty". But years later, she finally got to watch it,' she continued. 'She used to keep a scrapbook of news clippings of my career because she was so proud and even last night was telling paramedics about me as she was being taken to hospital - recounting her glorious holiday on the Queen Mary that I had given her as a present when I had started making it big in Hollywood. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'When I was 11, she took me and my sister to America. It was one of the best weeks of my entire life. We took her on SPACE MOUNTAIN at Disneyland saying "it's not that scary Gar!" and she screamed the entire way down holding on for dear life.' Rebel went on: 'I'm glad her last 'big' outing was to our wedding at the Opera House. She loved watching tennis, musicals, neenish tarts, but most importantly she LOVED her family - her children, grandchildren and now great-grandchildren. 'She leaves behind an incredible legacy. She had a hair salon back in the day when few women owned businesses. 'She endured so much in her life and was always so kind and sweet. To me she is a Queen and I proudly carry her royal name of Elizabeth. Love you Gar and love to all my family at this very sad time.' The loss comes just months after Rebel's grandfather died at the age of 97 in December. Sharing a photo of herself and her elderly relative on Instagram at the time, Rebel wrote, 'RIP Poppy - 97 years young. The best grandpa!' Rebel's grandma was able to see her marry wife Ramona at the couple's second wedding in Australia in December. The actress confirmed the news on her Instagram, sharing a series of photos of the couple after they legally tied the knot in her hometown. 'It meant my 94-year-old grandmother Gar could come, which was very special to us to have her included, and it just felt right to do it in my hometown at this glorious time of the year!' Rebel wrote at the time Rebel revealed her sister Liberty officiated the wedding, which was attended by their closest family and friends. 'My sister Liberty officiated our legal wedding in Sydney!' she wrote at the time. 'It meant my 94-year-old grandmother Gar could come, which was very special to us to have her included, and it just felt right to do it in my hometown at this glorious time of the year!' Rebel and Ramona first tied the knot in Sardinia, Italy, on September 28 last year, and daughter Royce was their flower girl. It was the perfect fairytale location for the couple to exchange vows as they notably holidayed in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, just days after going Instagram official with their romance in 2022. The Bridesmaids actress and her partner were reportedly supposed to get married in a 2025 beach wedding but Rebel decided to move up the date. The couple first met in 2021 and announced their engagement in February 2023.
