Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath holds Janta Darshan at Gorakhnath Temple
Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 28 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday held a Janta Darshan at the Gorakhnath Temple, where he met people and listened to their grievances.
He directed officials to take quick action to solve their issues.
Earlier on Friday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the 'Youth adda' and launched a mobile application 'CM Yuva' in an effort to promote entrepreneurship in the state and help the youth with employment on the occasion of International MSME Day.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister congratulated the small and big entrepreneurs of the state and more than 2 crore employees in the Mirco, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) across the state, while also highlighting that the state is moving towards the idea of 'One District One Product' which has helped various areas to develop products on their own.
'Perfume from Kannauj, hardware from Aliganj, Chikankari from Lucknow, Dholak of Amroha, Barsuri of Pilibhit, today people have got a chance to move forward everywhere, people have moved forward,' CM Yogi said during his speech at the program.
'If the government works without discrimination, then development comes fast in the state. We gave training and after training we are giving tool kits,' he added.
Talking about the CM Yuva app, the Chief Minister mentioned that more than 90 lakh MSME units have been started under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana (CM-Yuva), which also helps people get an interest-free loan upto Rs 5 lakh. According to the CM, more than 55,000 people have joined the scheme.
'90 to 96 lakh MSME units have also been given security guarantee. We have started an app in the name of CM Yuva. If any youth wants to do business, then under this we are helping up to 5 lakhs without interest. Today 55 thousand youth are connected with it.'
Highlighting the transformation the state has gone through, he said that prior to 2017, that is before the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government was formed, UP was known for mafia and goons, hitting out at the Opposition Samajwadi Party. (ANI)

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday accused a section of politicians of resorting to caste divisions for survival. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath pays homage to Bharat Mata during an event organised on the eve of the birth anniversary of the great son of Mother India, the philanthropist Bhamashah, in Lucknow on Saturday. (ANI) 'Those who once bowed before mafias and mortgaged power are now trying to divide society along caste lines,' he said, addressing a gathering at Lok Bhavan on the eve of Bhamashah Jayanti and Vyapari Kalyan Diwas. ' Earlier, they extorted money in the name of jobs. Now, they are trying to divide society in the name of caste. That is why I say: 'Batoge toh katoge, ek rahoge toh nek rahoge',' the chief minister asserted. Adityanath called upon society to rise above caste divisions and embrace the ideals of Bhamashah, the legendary figure known for his unwavering patriotism, sacrifice and support to Maharana Pratap. He described Bhamashah as a timeless symbol of unity, service, and dedication to the nation. He also cited the historical contributions of Mysore's King Chamarajendra Wadiyar and Khetri's King Ajit Singh, who supported Swami Vivekananda's journey to the Parliament of Religions in Chicago. Similarly, he mentioned how Baroda's King Sayajirao Gaekwad awarded a scholarship to Dr B.R. Ambedkar for higher education abroad. 'Where was caste in these acts of support?' he asked, adding, 'These were examples of selfless, noble contributions that gifted the world great minds like Vivekananda and Ambedkar.' 'Bhamashah's sacrifice symbolised the true spirit of 'Nation First'. He believed that wealth earned from the country should be returned in service of the country,' the chief minister said. 'Every time we remember Maharana Pratap, we will also remember Bhamashah,' he added. Adityanath stated that in 2016, the murder of a trader took place in Lucknow and a jeweller was shot in Sultanpur—incidents that occurred under a regime which provided shelter to criminals. He stated that under his administration, the security of both traders and women has been treated as paramount. 'We made it clear that anyone who endangers their safety will face strict consequences—Yamraj will cut their ticket,' he remarked. The chief minister added that when action was taken against miscreants, those who once thrived on caste-based politics began shedding crocodile tears. He also talked about the 'One District One Product' (ODOP) scheme, which he said has boosted traditional industries and generated employment for millions. He instructed the GST department to organise annual felicitation ceremonies for the top 10 GST-paying traders in the state capital and the top 10 in each district. The chief minister announced that any GST-paying trader who suffers an accident will be given ₹ 10 lakh in assistance from the government. Adityanath called on traders to join the government's efforts for environmental protection. 'River rejuvenation and plantation drives are ongoing in every district. Traders and business organisations should actively participate,' he urged. CM felicitates top taxpayers The chief minister visited an exhibition showcasing the life of Bhamashah. He also presented the Bhamashah Samman to the state's top revenue-contributing traders and honoured several others for their exemplary contributions to society.

"Want security for women": BJP MLA as protests erupt across Kolkata over gangrape case
Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], June 28 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday stepped up pressure on the ruling Trinamool Congress-led West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the alleged gangrape of a female student at South Calcutta Law College in Kolkata on June 25 evening. BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul demanded the resignation of the TMC supremo hours after the Kolata police arrested the guard of the College where the alleged incident took place. On the fourth arrest in the Kolkata alleged gangrape case, Paul told ANI, '...It is high time Banerjee should resign. We want security for women...' The BJP MLA also expressed dissatisfaction over the handling of the case and alleged negligence by the college's authorities. Kolkata police said, 'Guard of the Law College, Pinaki Banerjee (55) has also been arrested in the case.' A female student was allegedly gang-raped inside the South Calcutta Law College in Kolkata's Kasba on Wednesday. Earlier, the police had arrested three accused within 24 hours. The three accused, named as Monojit Mishra (31), Zaib Ahmed (19), and Pramit Mukhopadhyay (20), were former students or staff members of the same law college. According to the police, the accused named in the FIR will be produced before the ACJM of Alipore, South 24 Parganas, with a prayer to remand them to Police Custody for a proper investigation into the case. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma urges removal of 'secularism' and 'socialism' from Constitution's Preamble
Guwahati (Assam) [India], June 28 (ANI): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday launched a book titled 'The Emergency Diaries: Years that Forged a Leader' at the state BJP headquarters in Guwahati. Sarma said that this is the right time to remove the legacies of the Emergency, including the words secularism and socialism added to the Constitution. He said these words were not part of the original Constitution and should be dropped, as secularism goes against the Indian idea of Sarva Dharma Sambhava, and socialism was never part of India's original economic vision. Speaking to the reporters, Himanta Biswa Sarma said, 'Today, we launched the book The Emergency Diary, which talks about the struggle and resistance during the Emergency. When we talk about the Emergency, this is the right moment to remove its remaining impact, just like Prime Minister Modi is working to erase the legacy of colonial rule. Two major outcomes of the Emergency were the addition of the words secularism and socialism to our Constitution. I believe secularism goes against the Indian idea of Sarva Dharma Sambhava. Socialism was also never truly our economic vision, our focus has always been on Sarvodaya Antyodaya.' 'So, I request the Government of India to remove these two words, secularism and Socialism, from the Preamble, as they were not part of the original Constitution and were added later by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi,' Sarma said. 'The Emergency Diaries - Years that Forged a Leader' book published by BlueKraft is based on first-person anecdotes from associates who worked with young Narendra Modi, and using other archival material, the book is a first of its kind that creates new scholarship on the formative years of a young man who would give it his all in the fight against tyranny. According to the release, Emergency Diaries - paints a vivid picture of PM Modi fighting for the ideals of democracy and how he has worked all his life to preserve and promote it.
