Jordon Hudson, with Bill Belichick in attendance, finishes third in Miss Maine USA pageant

She lost out to Bangor's Shelby Howell, who will compete in the Miss USA pageant and reap other rewards that come with the state title. Anne Baldridge, last year's winner, spoke Sunday about how her win 'catapulted her career,' opening doors for modeling contracts as well as opportunities working with brands and magazines.
Jordon Hudson was one of 17 contestants for the Miss Maine USA title this weekend, and figured prominently in the pageant's program.

That prize package seems right up Hudson's alley, given her previously demonstrated interest in finding the spotlight. This past February,
Throughout the various portions of the competition — introductions, swimsuit, evening gown, and Q&A — Hudson never received the loudest cheers. Her support group was very small in comparison to the flocks of family and friends for the other 17 contestants, with only Belichick and her father, Heath Hudson, sitting front row.

Still, she drew plenty of interest.
Reporters and photographers from the New York Post, New York Times, People magazine, Washington Post, and more national outlets attended the two-day event. Paparazzi staked out the Holiday Inn's otherwise unremarkable lobby. The pageant's website also crashed Sunday morning and remained unavailable throughout the competition because of overwhelming traffic.
A spokeswoman for the Clemente Organization, which produces the Miss Maine USA and Miss Maine Teen USA pageants, said the media interest in this year's competition was the same as in years past. That comment is certainly hard to believe.
Jordon Hudson, competing as Miss Hancock USA, won the style award as 'the girl who best expressed her individuality and personality through her wardrobe, hair, and makeup choices.'

Hudson, however, has remained uncharacteristically quiet since. Her last post on Instagram teases the aforementioned statement following the CBS interview. Hudson typically updated her profile multiple times per week — not only with photos of her and Belichick, but responses to negative comments about her or their relationship.

But Hudson has yet to publicly address the latest series of events, so it's hard not to interpret her comments Sunday through the lens of what's happened the past two weeks.
'I'm feeling an immense amount of pride right now,' Hudson said when emcee Sal Malafronte asked how she was doing this weekend, before briefly holding back tears. 'I'm hoping that anybody who's watching this finds the strength to push through whatever it is that they're going through and embodies that hate never wins.'
After the competition concluded, only Howell and Seacoast's Jazmine Werner, winner of the Miss Maine Teen USA pageant, spoke to the media. Other contestants could not answer questions, with some saying organizers told them any interviews would be considered a breach of contract.
During the brief availability with Howell and Werner, a Clemente spokeswoman shut down multiple questions, including one about Belichick's attendance.
Hudson did receive the pageant's 'style award' — voted on by staff and given to 'the girl who best expressed her individuality and personality through her wardrobe, hair, and makeup choices.' The pageant staff also votes on 'Miss Photogenic,' while the contestants vote on 'Miss Congeniality.'
The crystal trophy apparently didn't mean much to Hudson, who never picked it up before leaving the ballroom. Maybe she's learned from her boyfriend,

UFC 318 'Embedded,' No. 2: Paulo Costa 'ready to destroy' as camp concludes

The UFC is back in the bayou for the first time in more than 10 years for UFC 318, its eighth pay-per-view of the calendar year, and the popular "Embedded" fight week video series is here to document what's happening behind the scenes. UFC 318 (pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+) takes place Saturday at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. In the headliner, Max Holloway (26-8 MMA, 22-8 UFC) will try to play spoiler against Louisiana local hero Dustin Poirier (30-9 MMA, 22-8 UFC), who will retire after the fight in front of his home fans. Poirier has two previous wins over Holloway in 2012 and 2019, making it a 13-year rivalry trilogy. The second episode of "Embedded" follows the headliners, as well as other featured fighters, while they get ready for fight week. Here's the description, via YouTube: Paulo Costa wraps up his camp in Brazil before packing at his mom's house; Kevin Holland gets a sparring session in; Daniel Rodriguez hits pads; Marvin Vettori has lunch; Daniel Zellhuber gets a cup of coffee; Patricio Pitbull recharges his batteries on the lake. Pat McAfee responds to fans' fury over polarizing Home Run Derby appearance

Pat McAfee reads the comments. The polarizing ESPNer scrolled through X to see what fans thought of his involvement in MLB's Home Run Derby on Monday, and some responses made it seem like fans wanted to change the channel due to his appearance. McAfee screen-shotted three tweets about his involvement, alongside a GIF of comedian Tim Robinson looking oddly at a cell phone with the caption, 'What the hell.' Pat McAfee during introductions. Getty Images 'Good morning beautiful people Fresh off a break.. got a chance to do something new with a different sport..,' McAfee wrote Tuesday morning. 'I really enjoyed it and think it went exactly how all parties envisioned it.. let's see what X has to say…' Said the first tweet: 'Kids don't realize it, but you used to be able to turn on ESPN and not see Stephen A. Smith or Pat McAfee. They were glorious times….' 'ESPN needs to enable a feature that allows people to unsubscribe form Pat McAfee in all formats,' a second read. The third commented: 'Does ESPN know that Pat McAfee is bad at his job and subsequently annoys the f–k out of anyone who isn't 17 years old.' McAfee is one of the faces of ESPN, and it's not surprising that the Worldwide Leader would tap him to be heavily involved in the festivities for an event airing on its network. He hosted a press conference involving the managers and starting pitchers Monday, and then introduced the Home Run Derby participants later that night. McAfee, whose self-titled show airs on ESPN, leaned into his WWE announcing roots by going full Jerry 'The King' Lawler to introduce eventual champion Cal Raleigh. 'With the fattest ass in all of professional sports,' McAfee said. 'Ladies and gentlemen: Big Dumper! Cal Raleigh!' McAfee usually has not veered into MLB waters, instead sticking to wrestling, NFL and college football, and one fan told him perhaps he should not overexpose himself. 'Can't lie fam, I rock with you but this starting to become recurring. Everybody loves money but it's ok to turn down a gig here and there. We don't HAVE to see you on everything. We won't forget you I swear,' X user @shadboogie said in a quote tweet. Pat McAfee alongside his colleague Ty Schmit. SiriusXM Launches Lower Cost Ad-Supported Plan in Bid to Take on Streaming Audio Giants

The satellite radio company SiriusXM wants to take the streaming music platforms on more aggressively, launching a new and less expensive plan meant to provide a value offering to consumers. The new plan is called SiriusXM Play, the new plan will be ad-supported and cost under $7 per month, the company says. While SiriusXM's talk channels have had ads for some time, its core music channels have generally not included them. SiriusXM Play will have about half the ad load of traditional FM and AM radio stations, the company says. The new tier will be available both in-air and on streaming. Play is available on a limited basis now, with further rollouts and package pricing to come later in the year. At the moment, SiriusXM car and streaming plans start at $9.99 per month, going up to $25 per month for its most comprehensive offering. 'SiriusXM Play presents us with an incredible opportunity to thoughtfully scale our audio service on the road and off to even more listeners across North America,' said Wayne Thorsen, SiriusXM's COO. 'With Play, we can reach and engage with new, more price-sensitive listeners with a low-cost, ad-supported subscription with more than 130 channels available in-car and so much more in-app, and leverage our strengths across both content and technology as the premium audio leader in-car to deliver this compelling offering to consumers and advertisers alike.' 'Play is an exciting net-new opportunity for marketers looking to tap into passionate, high-quality audiences across some of SiriusXM's most beloved music, talk, and sports channels, reaching listeners in the moments that matter,' added Scott Walker, chief advertising revenue officer for SiriusXM. 'The car is the final frontier for digital ad-supported media. In the short term, we are opening up new inventory for marketers, including premium, curated music. In the long term, with more advanced capabilities, we have a chance to revolutionize the in-car advertising landscape.'
