Poonam Dhillon makes shocking remarks about Sridevi, says actress played dumb to avoid...

Poonam Dhillon is one of the best actresses of Bollywood. She acted well in many Bollywood films in the 70s and ruled many hearts. Recently Poonam told how earlier actresses used to behave on and off the set. She has also given her opinion about actress Sridevi. Actresses used to pretend to be stupid
In a conversation with ANI, Poonam told that earlier actresses used to behave in such a way that they are fair girls and stupid. They do not understand anything.
Poonam said, 'This used to happen due to two reasons. Sometimes if non-veg jokes were told on the set, she would not sit and laugh at them. She would just pretend that she is not understanding what they said. So that some distance remains with the people. Because as soon as the actresses started telling non-veg jokes with the hero, they used to think that this is a sign that the actress has some expectations from them. So it was good to act stupid for years.' Sridevi was not stupid
She told how people made wrong assumptions about late actress Sridevi. She said, 'Sridevi was a very brilliant actress. If she had been stupid, she would not have been so brilliant. People used to say that she is stupid. I say she was a very smart and intelligent girl. If she had been stupid, how could she have been such a brilliant actress? I refuse to believe this.' Poonam praises Sridevi
Poonam worked with Sridevi in films like 'Sone Pe Suhaaga' and 'Judai'. Talking about her experience of working with the late star, Poonam said, 'I have always praised her work. I have worked with her in a few films. She was a calm person.'
Sridevi died on February 24, 2018 in Dubai.

Malayalam actor Minu Muneer arrested by Kochi Cyber Police over defamation complaint, later granted bail

Kochi (Kerala) [India], July 2 (ANI): Malayalam actor Minu Muneer was arrested by the Kochi Cyber Police following a defamation complaint filed by veteran filmmaker and actor Balachandra Menon. The arrest stems from allegations Muneer made on social media, which Menon claimed were defamatory in nature. She was released on bail shortly after being taken into custody. The Kerala High Court had earlier dismissed her anticipatory bail plea. She is the first accused in the case, which was registered in 2024. She reportedly made repeated derogatory posts about him on social media. Minu Muneer also filed a complaint against actor and MLA M Mukesh, who represents the Kollam Assembly constituency and is a leader of the CPI(M). Meanwhile, the arrest marks a new development in a controversy that has roiled the Malayalam film industry in recent months. In a series of social media posts and subsequent interviews, Muneer had publicly accused several prominent industry figures of sexual misconduct and abuse during their professional collaborations. In August last year, Muneer named actors Mukesh, Jayasurya, Maniyanpilla Raju, and Idavela Babu, alleging both verbal and physical harassment. She also mentioned Advocate Chandrasekharan, production controller Noble, and an individual named Vichu. 'I am writing to report a series of incidents of physical and verbal abuse I suffered at the hands of Mukesh, Maniyanpilla Raju, Idavela Babu, Jayasoorya, Advocate Chandrasekharan, production controller Noble and Vichu, in the Malayalam film industry,' she wrote, claiming the incidents forced her to leave the Malayalam film industry and shift to Chennai. In a detailed account given to ANI, Muneer expanded on her allegations. 'Once, as I was coming out from the toilet, Jayasurya hugged me from behind and even kissed me forcefully... After that, Idavela Babu expressed his interest in a sexual relationship with me,' she said. She also accused actor-producer Maniyanpilla Raju of making inappropriate suggestions about her hotel stay during a film shoot, describing his behaviour as 'unprofessional and unsettling.' The incidents she referred to reportedly date back to 2013. The allegations surfaced in the wake of growing dissent within the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), following unrelated controversies that led to the resignations of director Ranjith and actor Siddique from their posts in the organisation. Naseeruddin has said that he does not 'care' about any backlash for his statement. (Also read: Naseeruddin Shah's support for Diljit Dosanjh amid Sardaar Ji 3 controversy shows his 'frustration': Ashoke Pandit) Naseeruddin Shah's post for Diljit Dosanjh amid the Sardaar Ji 3 row is no longer visible on Facebook. In his latest post, Naseeruddin wrote: 'I have NOT deleted my post about Diljit Dosanjh. I dont care a fiddler's fart for backlash.' Naseeruddin's latest post on Facebook. His previous statement Naseeruddin had previously written in defence of Diljit, which read, "I STAND FIRMLY WITH DILJIT. The dirty tricks deptt of Jumla Party has been awaiting a chance to attack him. They think they've got it at last. He was not responsible for the casting of the film, the director was.' He added, 'But no one knows who he is whereas Diljit is known the world over, and he agreed to the cast because his mind is not poisoned. What these goons want is to put an end to personal interaction between the people of India and Pakistan. I have close relatives and some dear friends there and no one can stop me from meeting them or sending them love whenever I feel like it. And my response to those who will say 'Go to Pakistan' is 'GO TO KAILASA'.' The post is still not visible on his Facebook account. However, he posted a quote by Georg Christoph Lichtenberg a day after. It read, 'It is almost impossible to carry the torch of truth through a crowd without singeing somebody's beard. -Georg Christoph Lichtenberg, scientist and philosopher.' In response for Naseeruddin's support for Diljit, filmmaker Ashoke Pandit had called out the statement and responded to news agency ANI. He said, 'We are not surprised, not shocked, by Naseeruddin Shah's response to Diljit Dosanjh's entire episode. He calls us the Jumla party, he calls us goons. The educated, versatile actor, senior person in the industry, calling us goons proves the frustration and kind of restlessness of Naseeruddin Shah.' Over the last few days, Diljit has been facing flak for his latest film Sardaar Ji 3, including Pakistani actor Hania Aamir. The film opened overseas on June 27. It didn't release in India. The stir comes in the wake of the recent Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, followed by India's Operation Sindoor on May 7, in which air strikes were carried out on terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
