Armea takes over as Sapiro's queen after Ybrahim's death
Wednesday's episode of "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" showed Alena (Gabbi Garcia) being informed of her husband's death.
In tears, Alena expressed that perhaps it was better she was not by his side in his final moments, acknowledging that Ybrahim's heart had long belonged to someone else.
Ybrahim's lifeless body was shown being carried by guards, laid to rest in a ceremonial setup adorned with floral arrangements, befitting his status as Sapiro's beloved ruler.
Once he was left alone, Amihan (Kylie Padilla) appeared at the wake.
She lovingly told Ybrahim she was excited to finally be with him again. The late Sang'gre allowed the mystical group of Retre to take his soul, then disappeared once more.
Armea crowned as queen
In the wake of Ybrahim's passing, Sapiro ushered in a new era as his daughter Armea (Ysabel Ortega) was officially crowned queen in a solemn ceremony.
Among those who celebrated Armea's coronation was Lira (Mikee Quintos), Ybrahim's eldest child.
Despite the honor, Armea expressed hesitation in her new position, admitting that she feels unworthy of the title and even suggested that Lira should lead instead, given her seniority as Ybrahim's firstborn.
However, Lira reassured her that she had long declined the throne, believing that Armea was both destined and deserving to rule Sapiro.
With humility and determination, Armea vowed to do her best as queen, promising to serve and protect Sapiro as her father once did.
"Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" airs on GMA Network from Mondays to Fridays at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." You can also watch it online via the Kapuso Stream on YouTube. —Carby Rose Basina/MGP, GMA Integrated News

AZ Martinez wishes ex-BF Larkin Castor the best: 'I want to focus more on myself, career'
AZ Martinez revealed in "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Wednesday that she has not been in contact with her ex-boyfriend, Larkin Castor, ever since she got out of Bahay ni Kuya. "Hindi na po kami nag-usap and right now focus talaga on what's ahead of me, but I wish him all the best talaga," she said. Tito Boy then brought up the letter that Larkin wrote for AZ while she was a housemate in "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition," adding that he was hoping she and Larkin would have the chance to talk after the show. AZ, for her part, admitted that she is not ready to speak to him. "Honestly, Tito Boy as of now, I'm not ready yet to talk, I wanna focus muna on... Like I'm not ready to talk to him, but I want to focus more on myself and career," she said. In Larkin's letter, he told AZ how proud he was of her and that he was watching her journey in "PBB." He also told her that he has not given up waiting for her, that she should be happy, and that he loves her. Days later, AZ wrote him a letter in response, telling him that she is finally letting him go. "Kung gusto niya pa rin maghintay Kuya, that's his choice na. Pero ayoko na po siya kontrolin, ayoko na siya pilitin, ayoko na siya habulin or guluhin pa Kuya. Kasi alam ko mas masasaktan, mas masisira lang siya if I leave him hanging," AZ had told Kuya in the confession room. AZ and her Kapamilya duo River Joseph ended their "PBB" journey as the fourth big placers. Following her stint in the show, AZ made her return to music school. She is also set to appear in "Bubble Gang" soon. —CDC, GMA Integrated News

Barbie Forteza garners praise for professionalism, punctuality: 'Artista na nauuna sa staff'
Barbie Forteza received praises for her exceptional professionalism and punctuality during the production of her latest film, 'P77,' which made a significant impression on both the director and network executives. At Tuesday's media conference for the horror movie, director Derick Cabrido expressed his admiration, noting that the Kapuso Primetime Princess consistently arrives on set even before the crew. 'Ito 'yung artista na nauuna kaysa sa staff. Maraming time na nakaka-receive ako ng tawag, tumatawag sa 'kin, nagda-drive pa lang ako. Imagine mo, call time namin, mga 6:30, 7:00. Tumatawag na sa akin 'yung PM namin o kaya 'yung mga staff. Sabi 'Nandito na si Barbie,'' he said. He would ask why she was there so early, and the crew would inform him that Barbie went directly to the 'P77' shoot from another project, which was 'Pulang Araw.' 'Direk, hindi pa naka-set up ang tent,' the crew would tell him. Direk Derick shared, 'May time na parang parang nando'n na siya nang 5:30, pero 7:00 dapat siya dumating, 7:30. For me, alam ko na talagang sobrang ano siya doon sa work niya.' GMA Public Affairs Senior Vice President Nessa Valdellon further echoed these sentiments, explaining why Barbie is such a favorite to work with. 'She's such a pro,' she said. She shared that at 2:15 p.m., she came in to check the setup for the press conference, and she was surprised to see that Barbie was already at the venue when the event was scheduled to start at 3 p.m. 'Nauna pa siya sa akin. So, ganoon siya lagi. She is always early. She is just so prepared. She is so professional. So, why wouldn't we want to work with her?' she said. The network executive added that Barbie is always willing to do anything. 'As in, no weirdness, no freak-outs. She doesn't disappear in the middle of a shooting day. So, we love Barbie. And she acts so well, ever since bata pa na siya.' Also present at the press event was GMA Network Senior Vice President Annette Gozon-Valdes, who commented on the significance of 'P77.' 'Matagal nang hindi gumagawa ang GMA Pictures ng horror na movie, na nasa horror genre, at ito 'yung comeback namin sa horror kaya pinaghandaan talaga 'to at gusto naming magbigay ng kakaibang type of horror na tamang-tama naman sa mga panahon ngayon,' she said. 'P77' also stars JC Alcantara, Euwenn Mikaell, Gina Pareño, Carlos Siguion-Reyna, and Jackie Lou Blanco. The film is coming to cinemas on July 30. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
