Cruz Beckham declares ‘truth will unfold' amid family feud with brother Brooklyn

Metro23-06-2025
Cruz Beckham made another cryptic declaration over the weekend amid rumours of a family rift.
The 20-year-old star, whose brother Brooklyn, 26, has been rumoured to be at odds with his family in recent weeks, appeared to be using lyrics to make a point as he took to Instagram on Saturday.
'The truth will unfold' he wrote alongside a clip of The Beatles' 1969 song The End on his Instagram Stories.
The lyrics read: 'Love you, I love you / Love you, I love you / Love you, I love you / Love you, I love you / And in the end / The love you take / Is equal to the love you make.'
Last month, he even shared one of his mum Victoria Beckham's own songs, as he shared her 2001 tune Every Part of Me.
'I promise I'll be here if someone ever breaks your heart,' she sings at one point.
In another bit of the song, the former Spice Girls icon croons: 'I've seen how easy things can change. And people never stay the same…
'I think you should know that people gonna come and go. Be assured of this one thing, I will still remain.
'I know that there will come a day when you have to go away. But you have no reason to fear, I promise I'll be here if someone ever breaks your heart.'
Last weekend, Cruz's dad Sir David Beckham shared an emotional Father's Day post as he shared photos of himself with each of his children, including Cruz, Brooklyn, Romeo, 22, and Harper, 13.
He wrote: 'My most important & favourite job in life is being a dad… I'm so proud of all of you and like daddy ( sorry boys ) tells you every single day I will always be here for you no matter what…'
In the comments, Cruz replied: 'You mean the world to us and inspire us every single day dad I love you.' Romeo added: 'Love you always.'
Brooklyn has not said anything, as was the case with the news of Sir David's knighthood.
Speculation of a feud between the parents and their son and his wife Nicola has been brewing since the young couple were notably absent from Sir David's big 50th birthday bash.
None of them has publicly addressed the alleged rows between the four of them but in a recent post, Brooklyn has doubled down on his commitment to his wife on social media.
He wrote: 'My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you're the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby.' More Trending
Meanwhile, a source close to Victoria has told Metro she is 'heartbroken' over the apparent rift.
They said: 'Victoria is upset that things have escalated to this point. Brooklyn has made his position clear in his recent post and that has left both herself and David heartbroken.'
But a source close to Brooklyn added: 'It's sad that a simple statement of love and appreciation for his wife is being manipulated into something that it isn't.'

BBC to stop showing 'high risk' performances at Glastonbury

Afterwards, this saw a lot of criticism aimed at the group, with Prime Minister Keir Starmer calling it "appalling hate speech". The BBC were criticised for broadcasting the gig live on BBC iPlayer and has since apologised. BBC: BBC prioritised Bob Vylan's set being on iPlayer or Sounds, but a live feed did remain until 8pm whilst the team worked on tech solution. "We are taking actions to ensure proper accountability for those found to be responsible for those failings in the live broadcast." — Scott Bryan (@scottygb) July 3, 2025 In a statement, the broadcaster said that "clear that errors were made both in the lead-up to and during Bob Vylan's appearance." The BBC explained the duo were deemed "high risk" following an assessment process applied to all acts appearing at Glastonbury, Sky News reports. However, they were deemed suitable for live streaming with "appropriate mitigations". They continued: "Prior to Glastonbury, a decision was taken that compliance risks could be mitigated in real time on the live stream - through the use of language or content warnings - without the need for a delay. This was clearly not the case." The corporation added that it would make "immediate changes to livestreaming music events", including no longer broadcasting performances deemed high risk live. The BBC has said that it regrets not pulling the live stream of punk-rap duo Bob Vylan's Glastonbury performance and said the group's comments were 'antisemitic' and 'utterly unacceptable'. — Channel 4 News (@Channel4News) June 30, 2025 In a statement, BBC director general Tim Davie also said he "deeply regrets that such offensive and deplorable behaviour appeared on the BBC". He continued: "We are unequivocal that there can be no place for antisemitism at the BBC. I and everyone need to ensure that the BBC is a role model for inclusivity and tolerance and we all have a part to play." Bob Vylan responds to criticism of Glastonbury gig Bob Vylan responded to the outcry in a post on Instagram on Tuesday (July 1), saying they had been "targeted for speaking up". "We are not for the death of Jews, Arabs or any other race or group of people. We are for the dismantling of a violent military machine," they said. They added that "we, like those in the spotlight before us, are not the story. We are a distraction from the story, and whatever sanctions we receive will be a distraction". BREAKING: Bob Vylan, the duo who led an anti-IDF chant at Glastonbury, have been dropped from Radar Festival in Manchester 📺 Sky 501, Virgin 602, Freeview 233 and YouTube — Sky News (@SkyNews) July 2, 2025 A criminal investigation into Bob Vylan's performance has already been launched by Avon and Somerset Police. Alongside that, another criminal investigation from the same police force is set to assess Kneecap's Glastonbury performance. It doesn't make sense – Cristiano Ronaldo leads tributes to Diogo Jota

Cristiano Ronaldo said 'it doesn't make sense' following the death of his Portugal team-mate Diogo Jota, aged 28. The Liverpool forward died following a car crash in Spain, along with his younger brother Andre Silva, who was also a professional footballer and played for Liga Portugal 2 side Penafiel. Jota helped Liverpool to win the Premier League title last season and was part of the Portugal side, along with Ronaldo, that lifted the Nations League last month, and he got married less than a fortnight ago. — Cristiano Ronaldo (@Cristiano) July 3, 2025 Ronaldo said in a post on X alongside a photo of Jota: 'It doesn't make sense. Just now we were together in the National Team, just now you had gotten married. 'To your family, your wife, and your children, I send my condolences and wish them all the strength in the world. I know you will always be with them. Rest in Peace, Diogo and Andre. We will all miss you.' Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher also paid tribute to Jota, saying on Sky Sports News: 'Just in a state of shock. Not with anyone associated to Liverpool but football in general. It is one of the few times when the football family all come together. 'I just cannot believe it. For everybody involved but especially his family – his wife and the children they've got, it's devastating for all involved. 'I can only imagine how his team-mates feel at Liverpool and Portugal, they must be in a world of pain with his friends and family. 'It just shows us all how quickly life can change. What a summer he's had, and you get this devastating news that his family have had in the last few hours, you can't even comprehend it.' Atlético de Madrid is shocked by the tragic news of the passing of former club player Diogo Jota and his brother André. We send our deepest condolences to their family and loved ones. May they rest in peace. — Atlético de Madrid (@atletienglish) July 3, 2025 Raul Jimenez and Ruben Neves posted on their Instagram stories following the announcement of their former Wolves team-mate's death. Mexico striker Jimenez, now at Fulham, said: 'It's hard to receive this kind of news, and I still can't believe it. 'An excellent colleague, friend, and above all, a great father. Thanks for everything, my friend. We'll always remember you.' Jota's Portuguese compatriot Neves said: 'They say we only lose people when we forget them. I will never forget them.' My prayers goes out to his loved ones during this time! May you all be guided and protected! YNWA JOTA!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️ — LeBron James (@KingJames) July 3, 2025 Jota's former clubs Porto and Atletico Madrid also took to social media. Porto said on X they were in 'mourning' in a statement, while Atletico added they were 'shocked by the tragic news'. Former Manchester United and England defender Gary Neville wrote on X: 'That is heartbreaking news on Diogo Jota and his brother. All my love and best wishes to his family.' NBA great and well-known Liverpool supporter LeBron James posted on X: 'My prayers goes out to his loved ones during this time! May you all be guided and protected! YNWA (You'll Never Walk Alone) JOTA!!' — Gary Neville (@GNev2) July 3, 2025 Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot, who shared a dressing room with Jota on international duty with Portugal, said on his Instagram story: ' strength to the family.' UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin said in a statement: 'Just three weeks ago, I had the honour of presenting Diogo Jota with a medal after the UEFA Nations League final – a moment of joy, pride, and celebration that will now forever be burned in memory with sorrow. 'His passion, energy and spirit on the field inspired everyone around him. It is devastating to think that a life so full of joy and potential has been taken far too soon. Rest in peace, dear Diogo. You will not be forgotten.'

Orlando Bloom shares cryptic post about 'loneliness' after Katy Perry split

Lord of the Rings star Orlando Bloom has shared a series of quotes. attributed to psychologist Carl Jung, following reports in recent weeks that he has split from Katy Perry Orlando Bloom has shared a series of cryptic quotes referring to "darkness" and "loneliness" following his reported split from his fiancée Katy Perry. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 48, and Katy, 40, have reportedly parted ways after nine years together. The couple, who are parents to four-year-old daughter Daisy, have faced speculation over their relationship in recent weeks, with there once even the suggestion of potential "make or break talks" in the future. ‌ Following yet more reports that they had separated, Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando has shared a series of quotes, which aren't attributed to him, on Instagram. They featured in a post that he shared on his account yesterday. ‌ He shared a post by the account @sapienkind which focused on the late Carl Jung, who's considered the founder of analytical psychology. The post included more than a dozen quotes attributed to the psychologist. One quote included in the repost from Orlando was about loneliness. It read: "Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself." Whilst another of those featured in the post focused on love and power. That quote read: "Where love rules, there is no will to power, and where power predominates, love is lacking. The one is the shadow of the other." "Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness," one quote read. Whilst another read: "Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul, be just another human soul." Orlando later shared his post on his Instagram Story. He went on to highlight some of the quotes in particular, including specifically sharing the loneliness comment and the one that had referenced touching the human soul. ‌ He also highlighted another quote on there. The third quote from the post that he shared on its own through his Instagram Story yesterday read: "We are not what happened to us, we are what we choose to become." It comes after Orlando previously shared some quotes from other sources just days ago. As reported at the time, he posted a quote attributed to Buddha that read: "Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most." ‌ Amid ongoing speculation over his relationship with singer-songwriter Katy, it's been reported that they are "amicable". A source told US Weekly for an article that was published last week: "It's not contentious at the moment." The source claimed that the apparent separation has been "a long time coming," adding that things between them have been "tense" for months. They said that Katy is "of course upset" but "relived" to not have a second divorce ahead of her.
