Jacksonville Jaguars OTAs observations: With no Travis Etienne, can running game survive?
The team has reached the halfway mark for voluntary offseason workouts and will wrap up with the final four practices before conducting mandatory minicamp from June 10-12.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence had a much cleaner practice than his first media available performance this offseason. He only tossed one interception, with safety Andrew Wingard making a good play on the ball during 7-on-7 competition.
Two-Way Travis: Jaguars' Liam Coen reveals Travis Hunter spent time on defense during OTA No. 3
Lawrence almost connected with rookie Travis Hunter on a pass near the sideline, but Hunter couldn't hold on to the ball. It would've been a big-time play, with Hunter contorting his body mid-air to attempt to catch the ball.
If he did hold on to the ball, he might've injured himself as the team isn't in padded gear and it would've been an awkward fall.

However, the play of the day came from a nice throw from Lawrence to tight end Brenton Strange. Strange snagged a pass along the sideline over the outstretched arms of defensive back Jarrian Jones.
It was a good catch, but he also made sure to get both feet inbounds prior to his momentum carrying him out of bounds.
Let's look at a few notable observations from OTA No. 4 for the Jacksonville Jaguars:
Travis Etienne was absent from Jacksonville Jaguars OTA No. 4
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (16) throws the ball to running back Travis Etienne Jr. (1) during the first organized team activity at Miller Electric Center Monday, May 19, 2025 in Jacksonville, Fla.
Running back Travis Etienne was not present at the practice. According to head coach Liam Coen, he had travel issues after the holiday weekend.

Etienne is entering the final year of his deal and the Jaguars drafted two running backs in April's NFL Draft. He could find himself traded prior to the season, but OTA 4 showed why that might be a risky proposition.
The Jaguars are largely inexperienced in the room. Etienne is a lead back, recording more than 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons playing.
The next closest player on the roster would be third-year back Tank Bigsby, who has been inconsistent. Then there's three backs who have little to no experience in the NFL.

There's Keilan Robinson, who missed most of his rookie season due to injury. Then there's rookies Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen, who haven't stood out in the small window to view them.

Without Etienne, what's the confidence that the rushing attack can be a viable option to relieve Lawrence? Especially with how much Coen likes to run the football.
Something to think about.
Travis Hunter practices with the offense again, Liam Coen reveals he's already practiced with the defense
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Travis Hunter (12) catches a pass during the first organized team activity at Miller Electric Center Monday, May 19, 2025 in Jacksonville, Fla.
Travis Hunter was back after his busy weekend, getting married on Saturday and going viral for surprising a young football player on Monday.
Hunter was practicing as a member of the offense again, though, Coen revealed he did practice with the defense during OTA No. 3. As we said in our observations last week, there's a method behind Jacksonville's plan with Hunter.
He's still a very raw player and needs as many reps on offense he can get. The time spent this summer learning offense will pay dividends for the team during the regular season.

OTA No. 4 wasn't notable for the rookie. However, we'll still keep an eye on him throughout the duration of offseason workouts and into training camp.
Cam Camper makes impressive catch during 11-on-11 action
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cam Camper (17) catches a pass during the first organized team activity at Miller Electric Center Monday, May 19, 2025 in Jacksonville, Fla.
The Jaguars are finally in Phase III of the offseason, so they're able to do offense vs. defense drills. During OTA No. 1, the defense was noticeably ahead of Jacksonville's offense. It seems the offense made up some ground this week.
We already mentioned the catch made by Strange, but it wasn't the only nice play made by Jacksonville's offense.
During 11-on-11 drills, undrafted free agent wide receiver Cam Camper scored a touchdown. He blazed down the field and made a fingertip grab as Doneiko Slaughter and Rayuan Lane collided.
With the two defenders wiped out, Camper trotted to the end zone. Coen referenced the catch after practice while discussing some of the younger receivers who are competing for roster spots.

He illustrated how difficult it is for young players to catch on post-draft as they are taking in so much information that most veteran players have had for more than a month prior to the draft.
The wide receiver position, especially, will be one to monitor as guys compete for spots behind Jacksonville's top players.

Dr. Javad Sajan Does First Facial-Feminization with Simultaneous Hair Transplant Procedure
Seattle Plastic Surgeon Performs Nation's First Combined Facial Feminization & Hair Transplant Surgery SEATTLE, WA / / August 5, 2025 / Dr. Javad Sajan, a top Seattle plastic surgeon and founder of Allure Esthetic Plastic Surgery, has made medical history in the U.S. by performing the nation's first facial feminization surgery (FFS) combined with hair transplant in a single operative session. The milestone procedure was performed on Ember Norman and is featured on offering a detailed look at the surgical planning, technique, and outcomes. The entire surgery, including the hair transplant, qualified for coverage under Norman's gender‑affirming insurance plan. As part of a full facial feminization surgery, Dr. Javad Sajan performed a carefully planned combination of skeletal and soft tissue procedures to transform the patient's facial structure and features. The surgery began with upper facial bone contouring, including frontal bone and orbital bone reduction, and a frontal sinus setback to soften and feminize the upper third of the face. A follicular unit transplant of 1,000 grafts was performed to feminize the hairline. To further feminize the upper face, Dr. Sajan performed a brow lift, elevating the brow position for a more open and feminine expression. In the midface, a mid-facelift and rhinoplasty were performed to enhance facial harmony and refine nasal shape and projection. For the lower face, Dr. Sajan completed a lip lift to shorten the philtrum and improve lip aesthetics. This was followed by chin bone reduction and jaw bone reduction to narrow and sculpt the lower facial contour. This comprehensive transformation reflects the precision and artistry involved in advanced facial feminization surgery. The full surgical journey and before-and-after results can be viewed here. These combined procedures eliminate the need for a second surgery, making the healing process easier and more efficient. Key benefits of this approach include: Single anesthesia event and one recovery timeline A lower and more feminine hairline Minimal scarring Who is an ideal candidate for a same-day FFS+ hair transplant? Ideal candidates for simultaneous FFS and hair transplant surgery include healthy transgender or non-binary patients who are medically cleared for general anesthesia, have realistic expectations, and maintain stable hormone levels for at least six months. Is combining the procedures safe? Combining both procedures in a single session is generally safe; however, all surgery and anesthesia have risks. It eliminates the need for a second anesthesia event, minimizes cumulative swelling, and avoids re-entering previously operated areas, such as a freshly feminized forehead, during a later surgery. How long does the surgery take? The combined procedure typically takes 6 to 12 hours, depending on the extent of facial bone reshaping and the number of hair grafts required. About Dr. Javad Sajan and Allure Esthetic Plastic Surgery: Dr. Javad Sajan is a renowned Seattle-based plastic surgeon, known for his leadership in gender-affirming and facial cosmetic surgery. Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter Call Out Aaron Boone, Yankees After Loss to Marlins
Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter Call Out Aaron Boone, Yankees After Loss to Marlins originally appeared on Athlon Sports. There isn't a team under more pressure and a bigger microscope than the New York Yankees. While they hold a competitive 60-51 record, they're currently playing some of the sloppiest baseball of the season — and it's costing them. Just a few weeks ago, New York sat atop the AL East. But entering Sunday, after back-to-back losses to the Miami Marlins, they've slipped to third place behind the Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox, trailing Toronto by 4 1/2 games. On Friday, the Yankees blew a 6-0 lead and lost 13-12, with three of their newly acquired trade deadline relievers giving up multiple earned runs. Then on Saturday, they were held scoreless in a 2-0 loss, highlighted by a costly baserunning blunder when Jazz Chisholm Jr. was doubled off at first base on an infield popup — a play that drew instant backlash from fans calling for manager Aaron Boone to bench him. Boone defended Chisholm postgame, but the scrutiny only intensified later that night when former Yankees legends Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter echoed the same frustrations during the "MLB on Fox" broadcast, criticizing the team's lack of accountability and overall sluggish play. 'You can't make this up,' Rodriguez said. 'I mean, look, you can bring in nine relievers, it's not going to make a difference. I don't care if you bring back their '98 bullpen with Mariano [Rivera], Mike Stanton, and Jeff Nelson, if your pitchers are going 3 1/3, 4 1/3 innings it's not going to work.' 'Where's the accountability?' Rodriguez added. 'If any one of us made a mistake, we would be sitting out right on the bench. I see mistake after mistake and there are no consequences.' Jeter echoed Rodriguez's honest, yet truthful comments about the 27-time World Series champions. 'They make way too many mistakes,' Jeter said. 'And you can't get away with making that number of mistakes against great teams. It just doesn't happen. They had baserunning mistakes today — you saw the guy getting thrown out at home plate. You can't continue to do it. You have to clean it up.' 'There are no excuses. You have to play better,' Jeter continued. 'If you don't play better, you're not going to go very far.'This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Aug 3, 2025, where it first appeared.
