Which Album Has Been Your Favorite of 2025 So Far? Vote!
And with that in mind, it's difficult to choose a favorite. Bad Bunny reasserted his status at the forefront of Latin pop with Debí Tirar Más Fotos, while Lady Gaga made her return to dark dance-pop with the critically acclaimed Mayhem. Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd and Morgan Wallen also reemerged with new products in the first half of the year, dropping Something Beautiful, Hurry Up Tomorrow and I'm the Problem, respectively.

But in addition to those already established artists, multiple up-and-comers have scored breakout moments with new LPs as well. Addison Rae unveiled her first-ever full-length, Addison, while Tate McRae scored her very first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with So Close to What. One soundtrack also made waves in 2025: Sinners, which featured music from the film's leading lady, Hailee Steinfeld, as well as Rhiannon Giddens, Brittany Howard, Buddy Guy and more.
But despite the high volume of great releases, Billboard staff still managed to assemble a list of our favorite LPs of the year thus far, from high-profile pop and hip-hop drops to less splashy but equally mighty indie and alt-rock albums. Now, it's your turn — we want to know which of those albums grabbed your ears the most in the past six months.

Twenty One Pilots Chart Another Top 10 Hit With Its New Smash Single
Twenty One Pilots' 'The Contract' surges to No. 8 on Billboard's Alternative Airplay chart, marking ... More the band's nineteenth career top 10 ahead of the Breach album release. LOS ANGELES, CA - DECEMBER 12: Musicians Josh Dun (L) and Tyler Joseph of Twenty One Pilots perform onstage during 106.7 KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas 2015 at The Forum on December 12, 2015 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo byfor CBS Radio) getty Fans of Twenty One Pilots only have to wait about two months to get their hands on the duo's brand new album Breach , which is set to drop on September 5. The pair announced the project a short time ago and previewed the upcoming collection with lead single 'The Contract.' That track quickly became a hit on a number of Billboard charts less than a month ago, and after just a handful of weeks on one radio list, it brings Twenty One Pilots back to the top 10, granting the group a fast smash. 'The Contract' currently lives on five Billboard rankings, all of which are focused on either one style or several related ones. The tune jumps from No. 16 to No. 8 on the Alternative Airplay chart, reaching the top 10 for the first time only three weeks into its stay on the tally. Twenty One Pilots earn a career nineteenth top 10 hit on the Alternative Airplay ranking as 'The Contract' climbs. Included in the band's 19 top 10 hits are 11 No. 1s – several of which ruled for double-digit frames. The group has only pushed 22 songs to the Alternative Airplay roster, and almost all of them have cracked the top 10. 'The Contract' only appears inside the top 10 on the Alternative Airplay chart at the moment, but it also rises to a new high point on the Rock & Alternative Airplay list. On that ranking, Twenty One Pilots move from No. 18 to No. 15, and in another few weeks, the single could break into the loftiest tier. The Latest From Twenty One Pilots Also Falls At the same time that 'The Contract' is growing at radio, the tune declines on several general consumption rankings. This week, the latest from Twenty One Pilots falls on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, Hot Rock Songs, and Hot Alternative Songs charts. The single came close to reaching the top 10 on all of them during its short stays, but has yet to do so.

Morgan Wallen's Entire Discography Sits Inside The Top 10 At Once
Morgan Wallen's entire albums discography — all four full-lengths — live inside the top 10 on ... More Billboard's Top Country Albums chart this week as If I Know Me rises. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - SEPTEMBER 23: (FOR EDITORIAL USE ONLY) Morgan Wallen performs onstage during the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Festival at T-Mobile Arena on September 23, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo byfor iHeartRadio) It's no surprise that Morgan Wallen rules the top country albums chart in the United States this week, as the singer-songwriter usually leads the charge on that genre-specific ranking. His latest full-length I'm the Problem debuted atop the Top Country Albums list six weeks ago and hasn't budged since — and it likely won't for quite a while. What is notable at the moment is that all of Wallen's full-lengths not only appear on Billboard's ranking of the most consumed country projects, but they all live within the uppermost tier together. Morgan Wallen's Three-Peat As I'm the Problem keeps its iron-tight grip over the throne, it's followed closely by One Thing at a Time and Dangerous: The Double Album, as Wallen once again earns a three-peat and sits at Nos. 1, 2, and 3, respectively, on the Top Country Albums chart. He has managed that feat several times in a row now. Morgan Wallen Scores Four Top 10s This week is special for Wallen, and different from other recent frames where he's enjoyed owning the highest three spaces on the Top Country Albums chart. Wallen's debut project If I Know Me returns to the top 10, as it bounds from No. 12 to No. 8. It's incredibly rare for any artist to claim four top 10 albums on the same ranking at the same time – but Wallen isn't the average musical act. Morgan Wallen's Quartet of No. 1s All four of those Wallen albums have previously hit No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart. Dangerous has spent the most time at the summit, as it collected a historic 97 weeks running the show. One Thing at a Time led for 87 frames, and so far, I'm the Problem has racked up six stints on the throne. If I Know Me needed more than two years to jump to No. 1, and throughout its lifetime, it has only lived in that spot for two stays. If I Know Me Rises Across Several Billboard Charts If I Know Me is on the rise across all three of the Billboard charts on which it appears. In addition to the Top Country Albums tally, it also pushes north on both the Top Streaming Albums list and the Billboard 200. I'm the Problem, One Thing at a Time, and Dangerous are all largely steady from where they sat last time around. In addition to the Top Country Albums ranking, all three of those titles live inside the top 10 on the Billboard 200 and Top Streaming Albums charts as well.

Lady Gaga's Current Smash Matches Her Oscar-Winning Single On The Hot 100
Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' 'Die With a Smile' ties 'Shallow' as Gaga's second-longest Hot 100 hit, ... More with 45 weeks on the chart. VENICE, ITALY - SEPTEMBER 04: Lady Gaga attends the 'Joker: Folie a Deux' red carpet during the 81st Venice International Film Festival at Sala Grande on September 04, 2024 in Venice, Italy. (Photo by Primo Barol/Anadolu via Getty Images) Lady Gaga mixed things up sonically when she joined Bruno Mars on the single "Die With a Smile." The track arrived in the summer of 2024 and became a quick commercial win for both artists. The moment it dropped, and in the nearly 11 months since, "Die With a Smile" has yet to vacate the Hot 100. In fact, it remains one of the biggest tracks in America, as the collaboration holds on and matches another of the superstar singer-songwriter's longest-running smashes, which also happens to be a duet. "Die With a Smile" Hits 45 Weeks on the Hot 100 'Die with a Smile' has now lived on the Hot 100 for 45 weeks, as of this current period. As the throwback tune makes it to that landmark figure, it holds at No. 8 once again, ranking as one of the 10 most consumed songs in the United States. Lady Gaga Ties Her Previous Duet's Record "Die With a Smile" is tied with "Shallow," Gaga's duet with Bradley Cooper, as her second-longest-running hit on the Hot 100, as both tracks managed 45 stays on the list. Though "Shallow" vanished after that run, it looks like "Die With a Smile" will almost certainly continue to find space on the ranking for weeks, if not months, to come. Lady Gaga's Longest Run on the Hot 100 Gaga's song with the most weeks spent on the Hot 100 remains "Just Dance." That cut, which credits Colby O'Donis and fronted her debut album The Fame, lived on the competitive songs tally for 49 frames, beginning in August 2008. "Die With a Smile" is in a good position to match "Just Dance" and perhaps even beat it later this summer in terms of longevity. A Late-Blooming No. 1 "Die With a Smile" debuted on the Hot 100 in late August 2024, but it didn't reach No. 1 until the following January. At that point, it went on to rule for five frames, and it stands as Gaga's second-longest-running champion. Only "Born This Way," which launched in first place, held on to the throne for longer — and only by one frame. Consistent Airplay Sustains 'Die with a Smile' "Die With a Smile" is largely being kept afloat on the Hot 100 thanks to consistent airplay. The tune lives inside the top 10 on not only Billboard's Radio Songs chart, but also all three of the company's pop airplay tallies. Both sales and streams of the collaboration have dwindled recently, but remain strong enough to keep the cut inside the top 10 on the Hot 100 – especially when paired with continued love from listeners and radio programmers across the U.S.
