Her first role was in 1987's Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, and she went on to score an Academy Award years later.
One of her two recognizable ex-husbands, Nicolas Cage, is also an Oscar-winning A-lister.
And her younger brother appeared in a horror movie franchise, where he met his superstar ex-wife.
On Thursday, the female star attended the Gonzo Girl premiere at Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.

The acclaimed Hollywood veteran is Patricia Arquette.
For Thursday's occasion, the 57-year-old actress — who r evealed she's on dating apps earlier this year — modeled a midnight blue satin dress with long-sleeves, a waist tie, and a long pleated skirt.
While posing on the red carpet, the Escape at Dannemora was joined by 53-year-old brother David Arquette. The Scream sensation was by his sister's side to support her film, which she directed and also stars in.
He was dressed in a cherry-red blazer, which he layered over a crew neck white T-shirt and wore with light-colored khaki trousers.
The Hollywood vet, who shares 20-year-old daughter Coco with ex-wife Courteney Cox, tied the look together with white, black, and red Nike sneakers.
The Arquettes' other siblings are 65-year-old Rosanna Arquette, 61-year-old Richmond Arquette, and the late Alexis Arquette, who died of HIV in 2016 at age 47.

Camila stars as Alley Russo in Patricia's dramedy Gonzo Girl, which is based on the 2015 novel of the same name by Cheryl Della Pietra.
Alley is a bookish graduate with literary aspirations who takes a job assisting a famous writer with a wild reputation, Walter Reade (Willem Dafoe), at his Colorado ranch.
Arquette premiered the indie project at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2023.
Since then she's recut it in hopes of landing a buyer.
She told IndieWire about her directorial debut, 'I feel so grateful to the producers and for this opportunity to go back in and continue to learn about the filmmaking process and be able to re-edit this movie.
'It's been really fun and interesting, and so many people have helped in this process. It's exciting.'
