Erin Krakow, Ben Rosenbaum wedding: A real life 'When Calls the Heart' romance

Yahoo24-06-2025
Over the weekend, the heart called and Erin Krakow answered.
The "When Calls the Heart" star shared a post to Instagram June 23, revealing she and fellow Hallmark actor Ben Rosenbaum had tied the knot.
The joint post, captioned simply with an infinity sign, shows the pair in a series of photos, first sharing a kiss, with Krakow's engagement ring in the foreground, then side by side on a green lawn in their wedding attire.
Rosenbaum, who stars alongside Krakow in the popular Hallmark series, wears a chocolate brown suit, paired with a crisp white dress shirt with loafers.

Krakow is a vision in white, sporting a lengthy lace-trimmed veil and a modest silk gown with short sleeves.
Fellow Hallmark stars flocked to the comment section to offer congratulations. Pascale Hutton wrote: "Love you both with all my heart," while Kenneth Wingard wrote: "AMAZING!! Congratulations to you two!"
Rosenbaum plays recurring character Mike Hickam on "When Calls the Heart," while Krakow portrays the protagonist, Elizabeth Thatcher, a young schoolteacher adjusting from her upper-crust circle to life in a western Canadian coal town.
A Hallmark favorite, the show has been running for 12 seasons, and once starred Lori Loughlin, who has since exited following a pay-to-play college admissions scandal that looped in several other celebrities.
Krakow and Rosenbaum first confirmed their romance on Instagram in February of 2024, posting a loved-up Valentine's Day carousel.
The pair are not the only "When Calls the Heart" stars to take their chemistry off-screen; Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace, who play Nathan Grant and Fiona Miller, respectively, confirmed last year that they had tied the knot.

New docuseries explores Ruby Franke's 'twisted dynamic' with Jodi Hildebrandt: See trailer

Viewers will learn more about the "twisted dynamic" between infamous mommy vlogger Ruby Franke and business partner Jodi Hildebrandt in a new docuseries from Investigation Discovery. "Ruby & Jodi: A Cult of Sin and Influence," set to premiere in early September, combines exclusive interviews, commentary, as well as extensive archival and police footage to offer "unprecedented insight" into Hildebrandt's rise to power within the Mormon community through her life improvement program ConneXions and how it led her to Franke. The show, specifically, will chronicle the women's "doomed partnership" and the "dangerous, disturbing results of unchecked influence to reveal the physical and psychological impact of their abusive actions." Franke, who ran a popular YouTube channel called "8 Passengers" with her family, and Hildebrandt, Franke's counselor-turned-business partner, were arrested and convicted of child abuse after two of Franke's six children were found abused and malnourished. "The docuseries charts the magnetic connection between the two and how the melding of Franke's strict family values with Hildebrandt's controversial beliefs created a microcosm of control, manipulation, and brutality that led to the devastating emotional and physical abuse of the Franke children," Investigation Discovery said in a news release. Here's what we know about "Ruby & Jodi: A Cult of Sin and Influence," including how to watch it. Who is Ruby Franke? And what did she do? Ruby Franke, 43, is a former mommy vlogger who lived in Springville, Utah, with her husband Kevin and their six children. The couple ran a popular and now-defunct YouTube channel called "8 Passengers," which showed snippets of the family's daily life online to an audience of millions beginning in early 2015. Franke later became the subject of widespread criticism online for her parenting choices, particularly her discipline methods that some considered borderline abusive. The pushback intensified when Franke co-founded ConneXions with Hildebrandt, a family counselor turned business partner. Many found that the "parenting style" the pair promoted was extreme and harsh. The frequent inclusion of what has been called homophobic, racist and transphobic comments did not help their popularity. In one often-referenced example, Franke told viewers that children do not deserve, and should not receive, unconditional love. Both women were arrested and initially charged with six counts of second-degree aggravated child abuse in September 2023 after two of Franke's six children were found abused and malnourished, the office of Eric Clarke, the Washington County Attorney in St. Georiga, Utah, announced at the time. They both pleaded guilty in December 2023 to four of the six counts as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors, USA TODAY previously reported. Franke and Hildebrandt were sentenced to prison time ranging from four to 60 years in February 2024 and are currently serving their respective sentences. What will be in 'Ruby & Jodi: A Cult of Sin and Influence'? The four-part docuseries "underscores Hildebrandt's manipulative and dangerous tendencies and how when combined with Franke's strict family values, they created an environment rife with manipulation, control, and abuse," according to Investigation Discovery. "Ruby & Jodi: A Cult of Sin and Influence" does feature "extensive interviews with former clients." Jessi Hildebrandt, Hildebrandt's niece, and others, including local journalists as well as current and former members of the Mormon faith, will also offer "additional and exclusive insight" throughout the docuseries, the TV network said. Jason Sarlanis, president of Investigation Discovery, said in a statement, "The disturbing alliance between Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrandt has captivated and horrified the public, and this docuseries peels back the layers of that relationship through exclusive interviews with family members, former clients, and experts to explore the broader implications of family vlogging and the devastating impact of family abuse." Episodes will be available to stream on HBO Max.

Justin Thomas Drops 'Bad News' About Scottie Scheffler's 'Happy Gilmore 2' Performance

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. After nearly three decades, Happy Gilmore is back on screens. The new sequel, "Happy Gilmore 2," premiered globally last week on Netflix and reunites Adam Sandler with his cult-favorite golf character and features a star-studded cast of athletes and celebrities. From PGA Tour legends to LPGA, NFL and LIV Golf pros, the film has quickly become the most talked-about sports comedy of the year. (Photo by Kevin Mazur/for Netflix) More Getty Images But while fans are still laughing at the slapstick chaos and nostalgic callbacks, Justin Thomas had a different kind of reaction -- one that came with a wink and a warning. "I've got some good news and bad news," Thomas typed on Instagram on Sunday. "The good news is I actually think the golfers did pretty well in HG2! Bad news... it appears @ won again. The guy can't miss right now 😂 @netflix" The PGA Tour pro posted the caption alongside a behind-the-scenes clip from the film's shoot. The video featured cameos from Rory McIlroy, Nelly Korda, Bryson DeChambeau and Paige Spiranac, among others. But the spotlight, once again, fell on Scheffler, who, true to form, stole the show. What's Scottie Scheffler's role in Happy Gilmore 2? Scheffler plays a fictionalized version of himself. The two-time Masters winner plays a recurring role in the second half of the film than in the first half. In a comedic exchange, Scheffler asks Sandler's character how to handle physical confrontations on the golf course, poking fun at his own calm reputation in contrast to Happy's notorious hot-headedness. After getting provoked by rival golfer Harley (played by Oliver Hudson), Scheffler throws a textbook hockey-style punch, gets disqualified, and is promptly arrested. "Not again," he quips, referencing his real-life arrest last year amid the PGA Championship in Louisville. And yes, the film goes there. In one of the movie's biggest twists, Scheffler's character ends up getting arrested mid-tournament and tossed into jail. His final scene has him slumped in a jail cell, watching Happy win on a tiny TV screen while fellow inmates cheer. The timing of Scheffler's comedic moment couldn't be more thrilling. Just last week, the World No. 1 clinched his third leg of the career Grand Slam at the 153rd Open Championship, Royal Portrush, finishing 17-under-par with a four-shot victory. (Image Credits: Getty Images) Getty Images It was his fourth major title, placing him alongside legends like Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player as players who won the Masters, PGA Championship and Open Championship before turning 30. Thomas's "bad news" jab was clearly tongue-in-cheek, but it echoed a growing sentiment on Tour that Scheffler is in a league of his own. And who knows, as the wind around the golf world says, he is the next Woods. The cast of "Happy Gilmore 2" is a blend of old favorites and new faces. Returning stars included Sandler as Happy Gilmore, Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit, Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin, Ben Stiller as Hal L. While the new additions has Bad Bunny as Oscar Mejías (Happy's caddie), Travis Kelce, Eminem, Post Malone and Spiranac. Additionally, golfers like McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, DeChambeau, Will Zalatoris and Thomas himself. More Golf: Min Woo Lee Cooking With Justin Bieber, Kendall Jenner During Tour Break

Ana de Armas Caught Liking Shady Post About Nicole Kidman

Today in celebrities being messy, Ana de Armas was caught liking an Instagram post speculating about Nicole Kidman's facial work. Which is pretty brow-raising considering Ana's spending a ton of time with Nicole's ex Tom Cruise—to the point where they're fielding dating rumors. The post in question is from February 6, comes from the account @celebmess, and implies that Nicole's claims that she's never used Botox are a lie (they even employed the classic "Sure, Jan" meme). Meanwhile, Ana's like is still on the post as of reporting this. As for what's going on with Tom and Ana, they're starring together in an upcoming thriller. And while it's definitely possible that they're just friendly coworkers, they have been on multiple vacations together recently—prompting speculation that there's something more going on. That said, a source recently told People that Ana is single, and that "Tom is crazy hardworking and she's very excited to work with him. She calls it an opportunity of a lifetime. Tom is an incredible mentor to Ana. She has nothing but amazing things to say about him." Meanwhile, another insider told the Daily Mail that "Tom has been showering Ana with gifts ever since they met, it's his thing, he is thoughtful. First it started with her favorite flowers then books he thought she would want to read because she's an avid reader. The more they got to know each other, the bigger the gifts became. There has been jewelry like gold bracelets and designer clothing, things like that, things every girl would love. Probably the biggest gift he has given her is being able to go anywhere in the world at a moment's notice, not many people can do that. She loves to travel."
