Why Mic'd up Caitlin Clark booed her own team for All-Star gaffe
Despite the fact that Caitlin Clark was injured and couldn't play in the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game, it sure seemed like she was having a blast. That included her rooting on her teammates and pals on All-Star Friday and coaching her team on Saturday, both of which the Indiana Fever star did great jobs at. MORE CAITLIN CLARK: The 5 funniest moments from the All-Star Game There was one moment in particular that was hilarious. As her team's coach, she drew up a play for them to run to set up for a four-pointer (yes, there were spots deep that players could try to hit from for four). They executed it pretty well, but the shot was missed. So how did the competitive Clark respond? As we could tell from the mic'd up portion of the broadcast, it was by booing her own team. Too funny! What's the latest update on Caitlin Clark's injury? It appeared to be a groin injury that she suffered on Tuesday, but we have no word yet on when she's returning to play for the Fever after the All-Star break.

Kerby Joseph lands in top 75 of NFL Players list
As the NFL continues its unveiling of the Top 100 Players of 2025, one of the best safeties in the league had his name revealed Friday. Lions safety Kerby Joseph, who is already getting accolades as one of the best safeties by media, coaches and scouts, earned his flowers from his peers, appearing on the list at No. 71. Joseph, who signed a four-year, $86 million contract extension this offseason, led the league with nine interceptions in 2024, earning All-Pro honors. The contract extension made him the highest-paid safety in the NFL, based on the average value of his extension at $21.5 million. The previous high was $21.025 million per year for Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield Jr. Joseph was not ranked in the top 100 last season. He is the second Lion to appear on the list. Tight end Sam LaPorta came in at No. 94. Joseph is also the second safety revealed thus far. At No. 92 was Atlanta Falcons safety Jessie Bates.

Yankees Urged To Avoid Potential Trade For Pirates '$106 Million All-Star
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. FanSided's Rucker Haringey recently urged the New York Yankees to avoid making a trade for star Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds ahead of the trade deadline this year. "The Yankees are not being connected with trades to outfielders at the moment but Bryan Reynolds is a player who they've coveted in the past," Haringey wrote. "The Pirates are nowhere near playoff contention this season and seem to finally be open to moving the speedy outfielder. "The problem with Reynolds is that Pittsburgh has waited too long to make him available via trade. He's in the midst of the worst season of his career, as evidenced by his WAR of -0.8. There's no guarantee he'll even be an average player again as he enters his 30s. There might be a time willing to gamble on Reynolds returning to his All-Star ways but the Yankees should not be the team to take that risk." MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA - JULY 13: Bryan Reynolds #10 of the Pittsburgh Pirates hits a double against the Minnesota Twins in the first inning at Target Field on July 13, 2025 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA - JULY 13: Bryan Reynolds #10 of the Pittsburgh Pirates hits a double against the Minnesota Twins in the first inning at Target Field on July 13, 2025 in Minneapolis, for Reynolds doesn't make any sense for the Yankees, which is why there have been no rumors, prior to this one, connecting the two sides. The Yankees don't need an outfielder. They have at least four outfielders on their big league roster who are great options this year. Top outfield prospects Spencer Jones and Everson Pereira could soon join the team in the Bronx, too. Reynolds is also struggling, which makes him that much less enticing for the Yankees to pursue. To make a trade even worse, Reynolds is attached to a massive contract. A trade would make no sense for the Yankees. There's no reason to chase an outfielder. It's so far off that it shouldn't even be a talking point this year. The Yankees will likely pursue an infielder and a few pitchers ahead of the deadline instead of an aging, expensive outfielder.
